Production of Awesome: Takes Time
Length oftime taken: Directly proportional: Resulting ammount of Awesome.

Quote:You're not in. Ergo, niether is anyone else. They announced the brackets for dates when you could get into Wave w/e for paid up time. It gives more people a chance to get in, and gets some game time, and is a nice little reward.I was in the closed Beta for City of Villains. I allready know how it works. My gripe is just that they seemed to have announced it was allready for testing 2 months ago.
When I got into City of Villains beta I recived the invite via e-mail without ever seeing any kind of announcement till AFTER I got my e-mail. Now I got the announcement first and 2 months later still hasn't started yet.
Pluse it's not really a matter of waiting for an e-mail anymore sence the old e-mail linked to this account has some major issues. Excite will randomly not send or recive e-mails not even to the spam folder so I've stopped useing it. In sort even if I am invited the e-mail may never come.
I preddy much just log on once every other week to see if demons are avalible.
Trust me, I'm as rabid as anyone else to get some cyber-fangs into any new intel, data or examples they give us. But I also know that Awesome takes time to manufacture. And the length of time taken is directly proportional to the level of awesome. -
In the words of Foul Ol' Ron;
Buggerit! Millenium Hand and Shrimp! >_<
There I was, thinking I had a chance... was staring myself googly looking for the last three. -

Quote:Or like a...oh...whossit, the guy who leaves half a cow, or a shark, in preserving liquid or something, and calls it art?it happens a lot between major news releases. soon the devs will drop some info(supposedly this week) and then everyone will over analyze that to pieces like a chicken at an alice cooper concert. It is kind of the way things are on a fourm dedicated to a single game.
Talk about overanalysing...
/personal rant -
Tip I've picked up from peeps around and about and at Uni;
Contrast.
Contrast is your friend. Contrast is slowly but surely getting me away from just lineart and into more digital and fully digital work.
It looks good so far...but I'd reccomend determining light sources. Frozen's example is very good. It's extreme, yes, but thats what you need sometimes to get something to standout. -
Quote:Yeah, that always struck me as damned wierd. It does feel a little non-sensicle to have a recharge for rest as it is.
"I've been badly injured and exhausted, but I only sat down a minute ago, I better just stand around for a couple more minutes so people don't think I'm lazy"
A minute recharge is around about the same time it takes for someone's health and endurance to drop low enough to warrant it per mob.

Also, given the HUGE penalties on you for resting (-1000% res to all, -silly% def, all that stuff), it's a tactical risk enough as it is. -
Arachnos SG Icon, please. The web sort of works, but its a loyalist group. Why have anything else?
And a huge /signed to base improvements, and an EVEN bigger one to balancing prestige out. Prestige is slow. Even the exchange rate is...attrocious. -
The -hit debuff is horrible and, really, pointless. I don't get the reasoning..ok, the MODERN reasoning behind it.
I can just imagine it being something Jack would dream up >_> -
Well, if you've only just noticed it, you probably missed a number of trolls and flamers

Quote:Leave February alone! That converts to the 21st of February, 2013 for those who can't do math.
Rush must be one of those folks who argues that February doesn't exist on account of the extra R that people forget, or that it isn't long enough to be a real month (like Pluto isn't large enough to be a real planet), and so ascribe to the 59-day January approach.
It's my birthday
Also, Blue wins the internet for awesome 'Oh child' post XD Reminds me of various sources of mirth. -
I would like Whirling Mace on them. Thats about it, really.
I don't know where people are getting all these problems from, unless they are trying for 1337 purpled PvP builds. My Bane is lvl 31, SO'd (barely, my gun bane build with only rifle attacks is practically non-slotted), and he STILL does fine. Banes aren't as stealthy as a stalker, and make up for it with a tonking great hitting stick. Which can do horrible, horrible ammounts of damage, DoT and ranged attacks.
Elude? Ew, no thanks. -
Just going on my opinion and IG experience, DA feels particularly end heavy. The only other set I've run into that feels that end heavy is SR, but then again that is on a level 14 MA/SR scrapper, just hitting the 'Stamina Gulch' (14-20 tend to be particularly painful levels, even slotted for acc and end red)
I had a lvl 32 DB/DA Brute who I deleted out of frustration. DB was doing fine damage, but he was getting absolutely slaughtered by stuff. Mostly by Longbow, and this was before their nasty -Res nades. They just gunned him down, over and over. AND I was still running out of end.
SO slotted, acc and end red in attacks, end red and res in shields. I only had the three shields and the damage aura. That was it. So *shrug* =/ -

Quote:Sadly, no. Even if you cover the face fully and use, say, the robot face (which has no ears), the mask, usually the bottom hafl details, such as ninja masks, etc, will still bend to allow for ears that are no longer there. In essence, there will be sticky out bits where there would be ears if you had ears there...which you dont...Can't you do human ears (or really any type, but human are smallest), and use the option to make it look like the head mask is covering your ears?
Yes, it hurts my cerebral core too >_<
As to the two animated thingers rule...alright, fair doos. I guess I get so sick of the 'clipping rule' (and Jay) that I immediately flip the switch into RAGE mode as soon as I see it written down
Hm....what about making things like trenchcoats and tails (if we ever get animated ones...and hair
) have two 'values' I guess...one that animates, and one that is 'solid', like the current tails and all other jackets? That way, if your system can handle multiple objects, you can have it on, if not, turn it off?
Although I guess that'd still double, if not triple the data the server had to send...I think?
I hate being tech ignorant! >_< -

You need Rest most at the low levels...and that is when you have less mitigation, less health/regen and recovery...Meh. -
Quote:This shows you are talking tripe.Shield Defense has 2 damaging powers., Shield Charge and Against all Odds.
AaO is a toggle that adds +Damage to your attacks. You need to be in range of enemies, you need to be attacking them, and making acc checks and using end with each attack.
Stop blaming all of FAs ills on Shield. Shield has mitigation on par with WP, minus the massive regen and other buffs, making up for it with Shield Charge and a few other trinkets. It is balanced. Leave it alone.
FA and DA, however, ARE underperforming. DA is far too end consumptive and has too many 'gimmick' powers while not being solid enough to stand up very well on its own. FA also suffers from lack of staying power.
I'd say BOTH sets are made weaker by the holes in them; KB in both cases and immob in FA. Burn arguably has that, but it is still a rather clunky way of leveraging a hole that should not, really, be there.
But leave shield alone. That works fine. -
Quote:Statement: AccurateHmmmm, while I agree with you... I took Alpha to mean that the "best" combination for a min-max/speedrun would change, due primarily to different options becoming available... not that they would necessarily become more discerning. I could be wrong.
Liklihood of possibility: Highest
Guarenteed: Not necessarily
Possible Addendum: I stand corrected -
Quote:Not before I got to say;If you were sitting at his desk, he'd probably call security

"Ah, Mr Miller. I've been expecting you!"
That...would probably also explain it. I didn't know this ^^; damn map made it look less...Quote:Just to correct this, because I'm nitpicky like that, the reason for the tram-only entrance is that Salamanca is something like 2-3 hours away from the greater Paragon area. -
See: ITF
Also: LGTF
Team compositions: Mixed
Likeliest change: Speedrun/Min-max teams
Normal teaming: Unlikely to change -
Quote:Even a graphical revamp'd be nice. The skulls look like they are wearing masks...IMO, I think they should stay the same. They aren't really a super huge villain organisation, but mere street thugs. The look seems to fit perfectly.
They aren't. Those are meant to be actual skulls on their faces.
The Vahzilok Reapers have better skulls than the actual Skulls! How lame is that? Just compared to the newer groups, the textures and such on the old mobs are really patchy and dull. Even a slight tweak would make them look better. -
If they were optional, it'd be ok. I personally wouldn't want to use one (I can lose my room key in a bag with nothing else in it >_<)
Optional: Understandable
Forced: Unacceptable -
Oddly enough, we also got more griefing in the PD Chalet during the hols than I've seen all the rest of the year.
Maybe all that snow and cold makes peoples brains go a bit funny?

Quote:I think Villains get off a little bit easier with that. There are a number of normal AND unlockable contacts that run up to and including 50, like Viridian, Shadow Spider, Television, etc. I still have three arcs running on Alpha, since I've not finished them. And then I'll have more to do.It's not that there's absolutely nothing to do, but nothing to do that feels new and exciting. A 50 who's content to do taskforces, Oroboros, and AE can survive quite a while. The perception is that there are no groups for the two latter, and that's what terribly damaging, in my opinion.
Heroes, though, do suffer quite bad. The Hero-side lvl 50 content is...well...painful? The Old Praetorian stuff is literally maps of monotonous Defeat All, with the odd glowy in it. I don't really ever get to that point anymore, since my other high-levelers are parked in RWZ, happy to kick alien armour plated backside. -
It's even simpler;
Dev's hate Praetorians!
