First of all, your experience with teams on lower levels matches up with a lot of people's these days including my own. I started on Victory, but moved to see what it was like on "the big server" only to make a full switch. I eventually came back and it's frustrating to say the least to do teams even though some of my favorite builds are on that server. I almost feel like I have to solo to 10-12 so I can start the TF train that is the best way I can level up to 50. I have even used one of the non-badge channels to say I was running missions only to get one taker.
While I do play on Freedom and Virtue, they still have these kinds of issues, but you have a better chance of a tips mission team running around at least. Content teams essentially don't exist unless it's done with friends. I am stunned when I get on a team and it's from an arc. Not to say it's the perfect solution, or the only one I would add, but I think there needs to be two sets of WTFs every week and I don't just mean red side and blue side. Pick one set of the Incarnate related ones, and one set that lets lower level characters be played. Having a month long run of end game Incarnate based TFs means anything below level 35/45 almost sits for a month.
Second, you found 5 names within a decent naming restriction. I would consider that pretty decent. I actually got Warning Label on Victory within the last 6 months. One of my better "How in the world did I get that name?" moments.
My guess people are doing tip missions and those are more about getting them done quickly and then moving on. Why waste time getting a team involved for at best 5 missions? I actually had one person quit my duo because they didn't want to do hero tips yet. -
Quote:I hit the same sort of wall and I load up on lucks although I am starting to change that around with more reds. It was the only off the top of my head thing I could think of at that time. It was odd. I was blowing through the mobs and then suddenly on the same diff setting I was faceplanting.I don't think the level increase inspirations have much to do with it. I hadn't gotten one until near the end of the run where I hit 22 and 100% defense is 100% defense no matter where it came from, be it spammed lucks or leveling.
Quote:Well, I may just reroll this toon tonight as SS/Elec because it still fits the concept and I've yet to make an Elec armor toon I like. I was never really taken by the AE farm stuff, it always sounds monotonous and boring. But after doing some reading on here, going 0-50 without leaving the building does sound more attractive than regular story arcs. Plus I've read that with some extra dedication, 50 is a less than 12 hour goal if done right in AE. -
I also think part of the problem is when a new comic book movie comes out people assume they are going to do a trilogy. If the movies were more one shot deals then we wouldn't get so overrun with them.

Quote:You should be able to get S/L def decent enough for a resist set so I am planning on going with Weave on my /elec builds. You still want Hasten since it gives you Energize, Power Sink, and Spin up faster. Thanks Amy, i tried asking ROBOKiTTY chat but no one answered there either ^^. Originally i was gonna get weave but i didnt know if i could get up enough S/L so i opted for hasten instead. I totally didnt think about healing sets in energize ! hehe and yeah LF is a trouble maker i just left the proc in it till i respec.
Thankies!

Ah, in the post you did with the image you mentioned being level 2 fighting level 3s so I figured you did this at +1x8 with bosses.
-
Quick pass through. I would one slot Static Shield with an end reduc and use the extra slots elsewhere. Not sure if you run Tough, or not, but I would rather run LF versus Tough if you are having end issues, which you really shouldn't considering you have Power Sink. I would get another acc/dam into LF as well since the acc on it is low. Energize I would go Doctored Wounds, but if you want to frankenslot it until then, go heal/recharge. With four slots, you are getting more than 2 SOs worth out of heal and recharge.

I'll have to run a couple and see how it goes. I kind of felt tapped out on +3x8 so I went +4x8 and I'm still unsure if I leveled any faster. I know I was a level higher, but it looked like I got the same amount of bubs for doing the same area. This being on the cyborg map and level 38 and then level 39. I'm partly curious to see how +2x8 w/bosses on the cyborg map would go. Bosses where too annoying at +3, but with more things slotted and a lower level they should be cake compared to when I did them before.

Quote:You are leveling slower so you get less of the level up inspir help as well so that is a factor.Gave the mission in the OP a try with a brand new /fire brute and even with buying trays full of medium inspiration rolls til I got all reds and purples between runs, I ended up at level 22 in as many minutes.
Strange thing is though, that as soon as I dinged 22, I started having serious trouble with it. All the numbers are effectively the same so I don't quite understand why but I faceplanted four times before managing to clear the room on the last run and gave it up to go level up through tip missions for awhile.
You have no AoEs for a low level map, so even if you could do it, it would be a pain in the rear. -
Instead of changing KB for more damage, make it KB, or KD. Problem solved.

Quote:Thx. This was still happening to me and I just kind of shake my head when I have to go fix it since it was suppose to have been fixed already. It actually wasn't happening for some time, so I wonder if somehow it gets triggered.1) Arrange your characters on each server in the exact order you want them. Make sure to move each character at least once.
2) Go into your CoH folder, find the subfolder with your account name on it.
3) Find playerslot.txt. (This may be tricky, what with the folder having one file for every player you've ever exchanged /tells with.)
4) Right-click, "proprieties", check "Read Only", "Apply".
Tadah! Your characters will never move around again. -
Quote:Yep, because I thought it was a well done part. I don't just look at RT in terms of reviews. Metacritic averages out the score critics gives them so it tends to be more accurate. Even then, I go to sites to see reviews from people who I do trust. Now, if at least three different sources are saying it's merely average, then I'm willing to bet I'm not going to be blown away by it and I can at best Netflix it.Will you be thinking of Loki six minutes after this movie is over?"
And here's one of the sits I look at for reviews. This time they did two reviews of it since they knew one of their writers would be a better fit for a review, but couldn't do it until later. There is a link to the first review which openly rips it. The second just gives it a lukewarm review. I'm still waiting for a rather positive review from somebody I trust. The dude I worked with who posted about it on Facebook as being "one of the best comic book movies ever" doesn't count.

With getting more powers due to inherit fitness the 30s help fill out builds, but it's stuck in the middle for leveling and you aren't leveling fast anymore and the end game TFs are generally a ways off. The 30s have always been a death sentence for me playing characters. It would help if there were more W.T.Fs. for those characters to run since as I previously pointed out, the level 45-50 TFs with a ITF thrown in a couple of times is really what has been the focus.

Do you mean actual resistance, or defense? Shield is a def based power set and adding resist is rather difficult with IOs. The goal for Shield defensively is to hit 45% for the def soft cap.
-
How many runs did you have to do to level once you hit in the late 30s/40s? It would seem like you would have to do 2-3 at least.

Quote:I actually tried to solo a DE mission on x8 on my level 50(+1) Kat/sr that's IOed out. Yeah, I turned down the diff. Some mobs at level 50 are just flat out annoying at x8.Last time I looked (I.E. last time I saw Arcana talk about it) Tip mish DE were getting 65% base acc instead of 50%. 65% is also the standard for all Praet mobs, wether 1-20 or 54+
This really, really shreds lowbies something fierce. Not to mention the increased number of attacks they have in relation to Primal mobs, more exotic damage types, and a plethora of debuffs.
The fault is, indeed, with IOs, though. Cranking up the mobs just penalises those who don't use IO, something that was claimed was NEVER going to happen. (Its even an in-game Tip) -
Just tossing in that Redbox did their review where the reviewer openly admits they weren't looking forward to the movie and still gave it a 3 star rating.

I like how they used photobucket to store the image instead of putting it on their own site and now all I see is how they exceeded the bandwidth limit of photobucket.

Just tossing my hat into the ring as it being too much of a grind in it's current state. I pretty much work on the alpha slot and then move on. Unfortunately, the game's shift has moved so towards end game content it has cost the rest of the game in terms of teaming options. Yes, you can get on teams. Yes, I can lead them. Yes, you have to really be putting your head in the sand to say that the number of level 50s being played isn't vastly one sided these days. The sheer number of W.T.F. that are end game content based isn't helping either. We get multiple ITFs, LRSF/STF, Khans, and LGTFs, but not a single Synapse TF.

Stone/elec because /elec deals with the two biggest issues Stone has, slower recharges and end cost. It also gives Stone additional AoE. Stone brings nice mitigation to /elec as well.

I'll restate it say that if you are going to slot purples, you either slot one of them due to being a proc, or you slot enough of them to get the worthwhile set bonus, ie 10% recharge. To six slot a power with 3 purples and three from another set is a misuse of both sets.
