Well I never found Katana to be poor (boring, but not poor) - however with dual builds coming I may be bidding on a few bits to make AP fun in big teams
Oh and respeccing her OUT of Dark Mastery and back into Body Mastery. Sheesh, what was I thinking? -
I hope I am not stepping on toes by suggesting the following two songs:
The first, Total Eclipse of the Heart. I can imagine Ellie and Grav Mistress involved in this.
The second involves GGers and Peds alike: Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy. Main part taken by Shadowe, backing by anyone and everyone -
I've finally had a chance to read this and I must say that I am enjoying it.
The short chapters not only reflect the 'American'ness of the superhero story but they add to the action.
I will have to agree with the comments about American dialogue though - it's like either/neither: if you say eether then you have to say neether, you can't say eether and nyther. I'd go with 'Mom' and all the Americanisms you can fit in, especialy with dialogue. It won't confuse anyone I'm sure.
I also like the artwork - does it hint at things to come? -

After the craziness of this month I may actually have a request for you to do a little bit of illustration. The sketch style would be perfect for it. -
I find that for most 'attack' sets, 1 EndRed is sufficient in all attacks. You can slot another in a toggle you will be using all the time (don't forget, not all mobs require use of all of your toggles all of the time) or one in each toggle.
If you're using Hasten, don;t forget that a) you will use more endurance up because Hasten doesn't replenish it and b) when the Hasten effect wears off you will lose a small amount of Endurance (which if you're running low anyway can lead to de-toggling).
Damage, EndRed and Recharge are my main priorities when Scrapping early on because, well, we're not as powerful as Blasters so we need to keep the DPS up. I know it can be annoying that Stamina seems to be needed for the majority of characters but there are ways of reducing its need (have a look at any Recovery or +Base Endurance bonuses on IOs - you don't have to take the really expensive ones first or at all. Any bonus is a good one).
Also, if it weren't for endurance then, well, we could just continually fire off powers and there would be little or no need for tactics in a fight or indeed (in my opinion) variety. Downtime teaches you valuable things the same as aggro management and picking Group Fly.
And if you think end drain is bad, try a Dark Armour / Invulnerability / Stone Tank with an equally high endurance draining attack set. -
Having recently gotten my first Blaster ever past 32 I would suggest 'Show-Off', Happy Blapper or 'I have Middle Child Syndrome'. Middle Child Syndrome

Very nice. I especially liked the part around 2:47 - 2:52 mark on the Media Player.
The only thing I would say that it could benefit from is an increase in tempo towards the end, with the choral part becoming louder and more forthright? To mirror the onset, or the building up of the storm before it hits.
Have you ever approached or been approached by anyone to do a collaboration on here?

I have a Kin/Sonic, mainly because I teamed with one once during a run of the Synapse TF and thought 'Wow! I wonder what that's like to play?".
The answer is awesomesauce.
I think I must play my Kin more aggressively as I don't often stop long enough to consider the debuffing! (apart from Speed). Transference is very useful, especially for post-nuke blasters et al.
I also play mine with Leadership (Assault, Tactics, Vengeance) which helps to hit that damage cap even quicker.
I'd avoid archery with Kinetics, purely for the redraw. Rad blasts I should imagine are mighty useful with the -def. And because I'm quite aggressive, I don;t like a lot of knockback as I quite like the extra damage, healing and end from my powers as much as the rest of the team do- so Energy blast doesn't sit too well with the set, in my opinion.
Because of toggles I also elected to avoid the nuke like the plague. I shoudl imagine Ice blast could be fun with a Kin. Soft control with slows and downright nasty control with holds.
For Epic I have taken Power Mastery (yes, Power Build up is very yummy. I've saved a few teammates with careful application of it followed by Transfusion.)
AV-wise, I haven't had any problems. I will say this though - certain mobs such as Arachnos who don't take to herding too kindly and seem to hone in on the debuffer a lot more than regular 'stupid' mobs pose far more of a challenge without the back up of another 'support' class, in my experience. I guess that's true for a few other sets too.

Anyway, I'm in no way shape or form an expert on Kinetics but it's in my top three defender sets, mainly because it's not a constant buff cycle and I actually get to blast stuff with it (I have managed to avoid the "SB plox" on most teams, luckily) -

I have the disorient proc slotted into Short Circuit - it doesn't always fire, granted, but it helps with the other effects within Elec/Elec blasting. The probability I thought was 10%.
It's also dirt cheap. -

Hmmm, I15 - well, as we now roughly know the stuff that will be happening in I13 and I14 will primarily be Mission Architect then I guess I'd like to see some more power
proliferation.
To be honest it all depends on the next 2 issues as to what I'd like to see after that.
I think bases could definitely be revamped - they're very limited - although perhaps them being so simplistic (yet unwielding) is why there are still so many 'new' SGs being created?
I'd quite like to see some events - organised by moderators/developers - similar to the Siren's Call raid. It would be a lot of fun to get a lot of people together.
Oh and rewrite the Positron TF. Pretty please. -

I know what the OP means - it would also be nice for the muscles to not look your character has just dead-lifted ten times their body weight and has burst several veins but, hey, perhaps graphics updates and the very sexy Jay may be able to fix this.
A few more 'old' faces'd be nice too. The three for men and women are, well, a bit samey.

Arctic Princess (level 50 Scrapper)
She works for the US government as an advisor on metahuman affairs with especial regards to 'legal and illegal aliens'.
She is (as a number of other heroes probably are too) a friend of Christine Lansdale (the IG contact who is also a military advisor and analyst) and has worked for various hero organisations.
She has strong links with the Russian Embassy. -
Thunder Strike doesn't take End Mods but it does take PBAoE, Knockback and Stun and there are some juicy procs and sets there, especially if you use Thunder Strike as a 'finisher' (i.e. you don't mind scattering the mob with the sometimes tremendous knockback)

I think I need to clarify the way in which powers are applied. I didn't include it originally because I was tired

The draining effects (bar the toggle) are similar to Kinetics's Siphon Power, Siphon Speed and Fulcrum Shift.
The target(s) suffers the debilitating effect but the buff is applied to the team, bar the caster.
Therefore I happen to think that the Mental Block power is rather useful, especially Hero-side, because it will give all team members resistance to Psionic attack PLUS provide mez protection.
A couple of the debuffs do need tweaking (especially Sense Deprivation - I just couldn't figure a rationale for any further debuffs or positive effects that fitted the notion of sensory deprivation. And I made it a PBAoE because I believe wholeheartedly that Defenders should be put in some danger!)
If anyone can think of additions and changes then I would be most appreciative. Oh and I'm not looking for any /signed's - just wanted to see if there was anything else the 'support' classes could do to make things 'interesting': Especially as all the buffs/debuffs, except maybe SD and the Toggle, would need accuracy so that they hit their targets. -

Okay, the powers are not in any particular order. I have absolutely no idea about numbers and also whether or not there are any powers in here which could be laughably skipped.
The powers themselves are fairly generic to enable use across all origins without too much hoohah. This is purely a suggestion out of my brain although some thought about the way the 'support' classes work has gone into it.

Had a bit of a lapse of drawing so only up to 7 right now but the NaNoDraMo 2008 thing is doing what I thought it would - giving me chance to draw and get a little better (I hope).

Okay - to start, I have no misconceptions that I am particularly good at drawing. I just have a trusty(ish) scanner and a collection of pens, pencils and some cheapy old refil pad paper!

Right, if I put the Ghost Widow (Chance for Psi) in Volcanic will it continue to proc? I ask this because, from my understanding, any boost to the hold and damage portions of the power applies to the first tick only.
I've currently got the Ghost Widow set in Fossilize and the psi damage is pretty decent when it fires. Volcanic is up at virtually every mob thanks to Hasten plus some recharge bonuses from other sets and in a team with at least one Kineticist it's a done deal.
