  2. I have tried to update the drivers on the particular card, but when I do... it makes it seem that the card isn't even there. Everything goes wonky. I'm scratching my head on this one. The drivers that came with the card work, but not new ones?? I even think I found the card's maker and will be contacting them. It's just weird that I haven't had this problem with video cards like this before. Usually the vid drivers work with them and that's it. But not working with the card and the puter saying "nope, not there"
  3. Ok, the good news is I got it to work.
Bad news... it Won't run Test for long, it crashes. Live worked for a while as well. Crashed after a while.

    Here's my DxDiag

I'm wondering if I need a new power supply? I think it's a 305w PS. I have 2 gig ram. I might be looking into more ram with taxes.
  4. Dechs Kaison,

Why not make 2 builds with the PB? 1 Human/Dwarf, just slot all of the Human attacks/buffs/shields etc.
2nd build Human. Try both. I have a tri-form on one build and on the other is Human/Dwarf. The 2nd build is slotted well for Mini-tanking in Dwarf if say the Tank goes down. What I love about the dual build is I TP in with Dwarf, hit Dwarf flare and while they are knocked down, switch to human hit Solar flare and go to town.

I have once been asked to stay in Dwarf to "tank" and refused to do so because I could do more while using my forms to help with damage also.

I have a PCI-E puter The vid card I bought was the same. But if I update the Power would that necessary fix the card issue? I wasn't even able to tweak the 3-D settings like the 7500 card.

Also to add... I tried to update the drivers while in my puter for the card... and have done a coh helper and the card still didn't show up. Would that be from not enough power getting to the card to get it running?? If that's the case, then I need to get a new power supply.
  6. ... I'd have to look when I get home. But, maybe that might be it?
  7. What I want to ask the forumites in general is this...

Is there anyway to get any new (cheap being under $100) Video cards that would work for CoX that support OpenGL? I recently bought a new vid card that I have to return that my puter can't use. Geforce9800gs. CoX does not support the card and I have tried everything on the Bugs/Tech forums to try to get it to work, it's a no-go.

So... my question is is: Is/are there any cards that support OpenGL from Nvidia or Radion that is in the under $100 range that I can put in my puter to run this game?? I had a Geforce 7500 gs that worked pretty well for the game untill the fan got broketed and failed.

    Dell Dimension 5150 P4 3.0gig processor with 2gig ram.

    Help please?

    BTW you guys are great!

Do you understand that? Everyone here has helped you. Aggy gave you LARGE help to get you to "try" NA CoH/V. Just give it a try and then tell us it didn't work. You never know unless you try. CoH is different than other games. It might work.
  11. yea, Ignored them. Couldn't send a petition because I was about to go to bed.
But I was just standing there talking to a few nice people who happend to be new people and some others that are ingame friends. Then this guy goes bounding away spamming what he was spamming.

    Ignored as spammer, yep!

And a big NO to buying infl outta game!
  12. I was hanging out under Atlas (of all places) and this lowby ran past us using local chat for spamming a RMT site.

My question is... has anyone else seen this?

Since they took away email from these people they resort to using local.

You can team with who you like; that's the beauty of these games. But I don't play using dial up speeds. If you dislike my pc then consider yourself lucky you have something better. Or better yet offer something more practical than reminding me how old my machine is. I know it's old, but it's the only one I have and the game will either prove unplayable or it won't.

Telling me my pc sucks gets noone anywhere.
    1'st welcome to Coh/V

I have an older machine than that in my other room my daughter used to play the game on. You should be fine on very low gfx settings. Yea it sux for a trial game to have that window up in the middle of zoning... but, I hope you come out of trial to see the other stuff past lvl 14. This game is still squeetastic and is about to be even better!
  14. I believe it was a bug OP.

I've done all of the types of respecs. Free/forced/vet. Once you are past lvl 24 you should have the option to pick any of the branches after you've gotten past the "Forced" respec.

No, but when you type things wrong, sometimes you look (note: not you per-se) But, in general people look like an idot.

Yes, I sometimes type something wrong by accident, but I will admit when I do and move on. But when people who are in College and HS or adults who should know better than use linguistics wrong should use spell check sometimes.

Like your example "because they have better things to do than use spell check, it makes me feel like people are going out of their(the're/there) way to make themselves look better by trying to make me look worse"

When you use Their, that is the right one. Not the're or there. There is apposed to a position and the're is a shortned They are. It's simple to use the right verbage. Not looking down on anyone. Heck, even I have to look to my wife to spell simple things when I should know better. LMAO
