  1. Hmm, not sure which Devs I'll be able to catch on the EU servers. Its a pity Warwitch and Doc Aeon are on 5-6, because thats the time my net is most likely to be idiotic and not let me log in, despite the fact I should be able to log in after 5pm.
And they are the two I want to talk to most =/

If I buy TOs and then DOs then I sure as heck cant afford SOs at 22 when I get there, unless I transfer money from another char (at least I17 will make that easier). There is very little I can avoid at lvl 1-21 anyway. I dont take end heavy attacks or toggles I know I wont use. I do pretty much everything I can to keep end use low at low levels.

Not your fault about the number of slots you have. It is your fault if you do not use them to include room for end redux. Not your fault for having a small amount of room for insprations. It is your fault if you pop a blue every time you are at half a bar instead of waiting until you are at 1/4 or less when it is actually needed.
See the above arguement about money limitation. And I only pop blues when Im literally about to lose all my shields, or in desperate need to get rid of the last bit of health on the LT/Boss before he kills me.

    Quote:
Other common blue bar killers are using toggles that are not needed. IE mez protection vs mobs without mez or energy resist vs mobs that only do S/L.

Overkill is a common blue bar killer. Using heavy hitting attacks vs mobs with only a few HP or using aoe attacks on single mobs. A little patience for another attack to charge saves that blue bar some damage.

Leaving sprint on while fighting or rushing to the next mob with half a blue bar is another common mistake. If you are at half a bar and just turn off sprint and just jog over to the next group you will have more endurance at the start of the fight and you will need to rest less often. Now on brutes I can see using sprint alot since your damage is based off of your fury bar. But anyone else needs to either learn patience at the lower levels or expect to be out of breath. It is your choice.

It seems far too many people get used to their level 50 toons and expect their new lowbies to perform the same. Sorry, it just does not work that way.
I know it doesn't work that way. I still object to how much sprint costs (it costs MORE than an armour toggle, for heaven sake) but I do de-toggle it, and tend to use brawl to finish off near dead foes.
I don't expect my chars to perform at level 50 levels at low levels. But I dont expect to have to accept sucking endurance like an old man as 'Fun'. Because it isn't. And it makes 1-22 feel like a horrible grind, for the most part.
  3. Let Doc Aeon or whoever wrote the new Hero and Vill side arcs from I17 loose on them. Even if it wasn't using all the new shiny tools, it'd still be better than the absolute Jackinated trash that is there now.

    Oh, and Sam; I lol'd

People can already buy veteran rewards.
It's called paying your sub for 60+ months.

So, no. It's not going to change. No, it wouldn't benefit 'New Players' because they will still be learning the game when they first sub.
    And, no, it shouldn't change.
Because nothing is going to stop this suggestion from being really bloody stupid.

So, it's my fault that I cannot purchase SOs before 22, only have a certain ammount of slots to put in powers till that point, run out of insps due to using them during fights and that mobs take a while to kill due to base chance?

Yeah, I'll buy that like I'll buy a pound of horse manure, thanks.

(Sorry, its been a long night, and I really don't appreciate being told what seems like a slightly rusted game mechanic is somehow my fault)

    Wow. Fact f'today.

I say expand on their prescence a LOT. RIP are the police force. Arachnos are the army. You should maybe see squads around the Arachnos bases, but the rest of it should be RIP beat.

Which is a shame. Because I feel that idea has a LOT of merit. Face it, who the hell slots TOs? Or really DOs for that matter? The fact is, they are grossly inferior to SOs, which you play 28 levels of the game on. It feels like a horrible leftover from the original Jackanised quasi-Korean MMO idea, like Hunts and Defeat all Praetorian arcs (The old ones. The horrible huge maps with tons of same-ish mobs to clear.)

The OP made me raise an eyebrow at first but, looking at replies like Arcana's, I think the idea has more merit than I first gave it credit for. Would be nice to see something along the lines like this happen. Certainly anything to make 1-22 less of a grind out of the dark ages (warning, previous setance contains opinion)

Im sorry, it is. Do I have the 60 month award? No. Do I want it? Hell yes! Whats its cost? 60 months in subscriptions. See? You already CAN buy it. End of problem! Everyones happy!
  9. I for one would prefer they spend time applying rust-cure and polish to the old content, ESPECIALLY the old blueside stuff. Run the current Praet arcs. Defeat all. Defeat all. Defeat all, huge map. Defeat all, huge map. Something of a pattern, no? And its DULL. It's really, really, mind numbingly, will sappingly dull.

The redside content, for the most part, is a bit more varies, better written and less grindy. But blueside, once you've exhausted Hollows and Faultline, which have both had more recent overhauls and are much fresher, quickly becomes a horror house of same old same old.

    "But we need new shinies-"
NO! No you don't, not if the chassis of the game is starting to rust and crack from being nearly six years old content!

New shinies will not distract from the fact that the old stuff, especially blueside, is still the mainstay of the levelling content. The old arcs and the old mob models are really, REALLY starting to show their age. Ultra mode gives a much needed breath of life to the settings, but not to the mobs themselves. And Praetoria and the I17 new arcs dont give new life to old, repetitive content, which is in dire need of some attention.

By the way, would you like me to have a look at the MA/SR numbers and see if I can't help you out? I haven't done numbers for those yet (haven't had reason to) and I wouldn't want to do it just for the sport of it, but if I can help, let me know. Via PM, if need be.
Heh, you can do. I think it won't change the simple fact; MA/SR is a wh0re before lvl 22. Now I'm there, I think I'll find it much more enjoyable.
  11. I wouldn't say wierd.
    Self-punishing, very much so
  12. Inspirations are finite. Believe me, I've blown through so many damn blues on my MA/SR scrapper it's unbelievable. And, guess what? Im STILL back to 0 endurance by the end of the fight.

I would seriously ask for Rest to be given 0 recharge. Maybe a boost to base recovery, the debuff to Stamina only if it wound up with the same combined numbers in the end.

None of this is about 'Waaah, I don't want to rest!'. Believe me, I'd like to rest more. But I can't. And I object to being made to feel like sub-par for the 12-22 range, through no fault of my own. The fact that it has happened on every character EXCEPT those with /Regen or a Defender says a lot.
  13. If Castle thinks it needs changing, it will be. If not, it won't change.
*shrug* Sounds like a fairly simple equation to me. And Rage works pretty well as it is, for me and those I play with anyhow.

If even the most merit-retarded person in game (aka Myself) can get a a -KB IO using merits, so can anyone, frankly.

  16. Axing the rechargfe on rest would be a great way, imo, to making all low level stuff a bit more bareable. It makes 0% sense how you have to wait to rest again, whatever way you cut it. And its no get out of jail free card, either; if you get snuck up on while Resting, you're taking a trip out-side via mediport, unless you're rather fast on the detoggle. The massive def and res debuffs while using it make it something you need to use carefully as is.

Beleive me, Brand, I've taken all possibles into consideration.
And frankly, before 3 SO slotted Stamina, MA/SR is the endurance wh0re from hell. Yes, it does high damage. But it brains end like no other combo I've played. Give it a shot, and see if I really am doing something stupidly wrong.

I still HATE the 1-22 range. Even with as quickly as it goes by these days. Characters just don't feel right without 3 slotted stamina and/or QR.
Amen. Its more an annoyance factor than anything else. This is why I still freely admit to taking a lot of shortcuts to 22 when I could. I just want those levels to be over with, so I can start getting real powers again and doing more than just 'getting by'
