I was under the impression that either the Gravity Geysers or Boost Range + Teleport was better. Otherwise, yeah the Shadow Shard.

I think the devs explicitly stated that they wouldn't give it a badge so that it would be a fun optional activity rather than something people felt like was required. Besides, a badge mean people will just do it once and then ignore it so that would be a waste.
I believe my account runs out right before the event starts so I literally can't participate. Need to double check the exact date. If I am available, even if just for one day, I may organize the redside version myself. -
Quote:Well, the mitos have varying defenses/resistances based upon melee/range. Plus, it has at least one "mistake" to learn from by requiring 8 players.I'm not surprised Lady Grey was omitted. It doesn't really have anything remarkable about it. No special mechanics or uber hard final battle. It's gimmick is that it's co-op.
Quote:Is there a taunt resis power ingame? Cant log in so cant really check.
Castle has noted that there is the ability to flag healing for aggro. It makes tons of sense for support classes to draw more aggro than they currently do. It would lend more weight to a Tanker's worth since drawing attention away would be more greatly needed in situations where support is actually targeted. -
Rather do one redside since the ones I was in last year were blueside. Was one of the coolest things I participated in within the game up until then. Pity I may not be able to participate.

Glad to hear you're okay. While fire wasn't the element, I can relate to the hardship of losing part of your home.

I find it rather interesting that Aeon mentioned high level TFs but ignored Lady Grey. However, I'm not surprised he gave props to Barracuda and not Khan.

Quote:Yeah, the closed beta version was much better. The complaint with the original was that the sound lacked impact but I can't get how the devs got the current sound effects out of that complaint.Kinetic Melee: Anyone that was in Beta for GR knows I don't like the current sounds and much preferred the original sounds (for anyone curious, the original sounds can be heard in that PAX video that showed KM a loooong time ago). The current effects sound like racecars or jets taking off, and don't go with the visuals of the powers at all. It makes me more than a little sad that we ended up with these sounds, from what I saw, in order to please a minority of players that needed to hear an explosion everytime their fists hit an enemy, and then when the majority requested the original sounds back, we were told it was too close to release to change them again.
Quote:I would love to see some of the Giant Monsters and AV's actually say something during the fight. Give them a voice. Even just one or two sound bites that get triggered at a HP level would be cool.
Give the evil laugh emote an actual sound bite of evil laughter. -
- Make the demons from Demon Summoning not roar so often.
- Lower the volume on their roar

There's a high likelihood I'll be on hiatus after this month so I'm going to cut off new submissions here for now. However, I know I still owe Red Valkyrja and BenRGamer plays.
-
Pity that my subscription will be expiring soon. Got some ideas of what to do with some of them.

Being the odd man out as usual, I actually like running AE arcs again. I don't do it often for various reasons but I try to come back to ones I enjoy. I guess it's comparable to a movie you like and come back to every once in a while.

If you're physically within a mission in Test mode, the blue for Back is actually red. Red was the original color but was changed to accommodate color blindness. Unfortunately, they didn't change the in-mission maps.

Quote:I think a new thing I'll be doing is making note of what I played the arc with since it does affect how I go through the arc. Honestly, I should have done so before. This was played with my lvl 50 Claws/Willpower Stalker.Zamuel,
The arc for the challenge has moved to the testing phase, so if you get a chance to check it out, that would be great. Arc ID: 457506

Overview
Interesting use of a Television styled contact. My frame of reference is different since I haven't done its canon arcs but know its style of "speech". Overall the arc flowed well.
I'm kicking myself right now since there was an enemy I have a comment on but while I copied the bio, I neglected to copy the name. It's one of the Injustice Legion flunkies. The bio is: "These robots were made for the Injustice Legion by the notorious mastermind Four Eyes using stolen Crey and Nemesis technology."
My problem is not with the bio, it's with the visual design. I really didn't see where much of a Nemesis inspiration would come from with this enemy. You may be able to fix it with something as simple as a color change. Instead of the black and neutral yellow you have now, I think changing the yellow to a gold tone or something with a splash more orange may work better. I can especially see this due to the type of shield and mace you're using for it. However, this is more or less nitpicking that can be ignored.
In the last mission the ally wasn't guarded. In theory it's not a bad thing and he did wind up being helpful but I tend to try to see what I can do without them with a Stalker due to the extra aggro that allies tend to draw.
There's a few things that seem like in jokes that I'm mildly wary about but it's probably not a real issue.
Spelling/Grammar
Mission 1 outro
"We got the footage; weve got the interviews, the local reactions and more! Tune in tonight for this and other PT entertainment news."
I believe all of this needs to be capitalized.
Mission 3 Intro
Footage of Bright Angel flying towards a bad part of town follows..
Unsure if you're simply ending the sentence (needs a single period) or if you're using an ellipsis (three periods, "..."). I'm assuming the latter.
Mission 3 objectives
Search for Clues, Bright Angel, Free Blappy!
Bright Angel needs some sort of descriptor such as "Find Bright Angel" -
200K actually. Gives a lot more room than it seems. However, you might have space concerns due to the custom hybrids. In the end it's up to you.

Quote:I'm not saying have zero webnades. I'm saying have a webnade guy, a generic defense guy, a targeting drone guy, etc all in the same group. You can make mobs with the same name but with different race/gender and subsequently different powers. At lvl 50 I have little remorse for defense based toons but the trick is to have a balanced group so that it has differing tricks up its sleeve for different kinds of players. An all to hit buff group would be bad but having one or two gives a SR toon something to prioritize while a resist toon might aim for the generic defense guy and yet a controller might target the webnader first.About the Zoo security..I tried to have EM but people complained, I can't really find a good secondary for something like that..and the security forces cut off at a certain level. I'll look into it though. I don't want to add tohit to them because defense based toons QQ You get the idea
-snip-
Ok, I dropped the Webnade from both the minion and LT Zoo security force and replaced it with Willpower's Quick Recovery. That way no one can really QQ hard. >.>
Also, I forgot to mention that you might want special titles like Elite or Advanced as opposed to officially having LT in the Zoo Security's title for higher ranks. -
Quote:Not really which is interesting since I generally prefer tech over magic. I guess pick what sounds best to you.Do you have any Sci-Fi/Horror arcs since you want people to play through one of yours with a similar style first?

When Madness Reigns over Reason ... MADNESS!
Overview
Gonna point some things out with your description:
"Suggested level: 50. A high ranking 5th Column scientist recruits you to aid him in his nefarious experiments in human genetic manipulation aka forced mutation and gene splicing. You realize that even a nasty person like yourself has limits as to how far you will go in pursuit of profit."
You really don't need both parts of the highlighted sentence since you're essentially repeating yourself. Also the "Suggested level: 50" is similarly unneeded since you can level restrict your arc to a smaller range and this is visible when playing an arc.
You may be going for humor in parts but I'm not sure how well it's working. The doctor's accent could potentially be annoying and "Go be the Doctor's errand monkey, at least the pay is good." could be condescending. Some may be fine but merely pointing it out.
Zoo Security needs more varied secondaries. The way you have them setup, it's an onslaught of stacked Webnades that can slow your movement and recharge to a crawl. Adding a few duplicates with different powers will make them more bearable and reduce the clone effect visually.
I was wary about the Defeat All but it fits the story and the map isn't too big.
On a personal level, I felt the reasoning for the alignment shift sort of made sense but needed something "more". The problem is that I don't know what to suggest.
Spelling/Grammar
There's a few places where you use Dr. by itself where doctor would be more appropriate.
You alternate the spellings of Riechsman and Reichsman (the latter is correct).
-Mission 1 clue -> SD Card
This SD card is were the computer was storing the surveillance footage.
should be
This SD card is where the computer was storing the surveillance footage.
-Mission 2 objective
3 Animal cage
should be
3 Animal cages
-Mission 2 clue - a closed animal cage
Capitalize the A since it's a title.
-Mission 3 clue - High Hope's Phone & Fax numbers
Here is High Hope's phone and fax numbers that can call in case something big goes down that he needs to know about.
Sounds a little awkward. Consider rewording. -

Test Rat, I invite you to give Victory a try. I run PUG Abandoned Sewer Trials. While there's times that a few power combos might be better suited, generally success comes down to player competence.
I'd say content design is where a lot of the problems lie. Some combinations are good at things that aren't common in this game. For example, protecting things is where heavy knockback and phasing powers would shine. However, there's only so many of those kinds of missions. -
Well, Corruptor's Pain Domination -> Soothing Aura is a toggle heal. However, in PvP it works like its Mastermind counterpart Suppress Pain and buffs regen instead so that it does not interfere with DR applied to healing. It's the only example I can think of but it is an example of a power outright working differently in PvP.

Let me brainstorm, I might be able to think of something that might work. *proudly shines Efficiency Expert badge*

To slightly add to this, what should be done so that it favors Stalkers while other ATs have difficulties?
