Mission Architect Enhancements: The Tunnels and Tech map sets are now available in Mission Architect. You can now also select the Praetorian Clockwork, Destroyers, Resistance, Praetoria Police Department, Seers, Ghouls, and the Syndicate as Mission Architect NPC groups.
Hmm.

While it would be disrespectful to punch a gift horse in the mouth, this seems rather underwhelming. Granted, we don't know if other smaller things are being added. Plus, pending on the level it may be possible that the mobs can be repurposed for other uses. In fact, the main "easy" fix I hope to see would be expanded levels for the Rogue Island Villains/Paragon Heroes or adding the new mobs to standard groups like Girlfriend From Hell and Super Stunner.

Destroyers can be repurposed as standard gang members I suppose. Other than that, all the new additions are glaringly and obviously Praetorian. I also don't see War Works or the Imperial Defense Force in the list. Where are my War Walkers? I demand War Walkers.

The Super Stunners and Chi Masters and such should definitely be added, along with the new and/or improved Rogues Gallery characters. Kinetic Melee and Electric Control should also be added for custom critters.

The thing is, I haven't seen a lot of arcs advertised in this forum or in the MA Arc Finder channel (read: none) that take place in Praetoria. The setting itself is somewhat limiting, whereas Paragon City and the Rogue Isles are wide open, and full of little backstory tidbits that have never been fully explored, enemy groups and NPCs that are underutilized, and story lines that have never been wrapped up. I'm sure we'll see a slew of arcs made just to take advantage of these new options (although again, I ask, where are all the high-level groups in an issue that includes making your 50s more powerful), but so far I see nothing here I'm going to use.

IDF is a mix of Praetorian Clockwork, Seers, and Praetorian Police so I would hope that they will be included.

The nail was perfectly hit on the head that Praetoria as a whole is very limiting concept wise and there aren't many requesting for its parts for AE. Then again, while I mildly dislike their tech labs for being so soul crushingly sterile, I do hope we get the Praetorian office maps (despite the fact that I may not be able to put them to use for any of my arcs).

I've seen people complaining that we didn't get any of the Going Rogue toys to play with in MA. It seems a pretty reasonable addition to me, especially considering the word was that I19 was a "small" issue.

Of course, more is always better.

Sure, there are Going Rogue toys I'd like to have. The option to speak to someone within a mission. The option to have your allies or enemies teleport out on defeat. Kinetic Melee and Electric Control. Multiple dialogue options (which admittedly predates GR but is used heavily in tip missions and Praetoria).

None of those toys are uniquely Praetorian. Basic but versatile options >>> shiny but limited options.

I've had quite a few ideas for arcs in Praet but I've been limited by the fact we don't have the praetorian pieces yet. Now that they are coming with i19 you will probably see a lot more based in Praetoria arcs.

Emperor Cole does not approve of your logic.

And yeah, it IS rather odd that Kinetic Melee and Electric Control weren't mentioned. I'm hoping they're in and simply weren't mentioned due to being considered on the level of bug fixes (and thus not mentioned in a general overview).

Why aren't Electric Control and Kinetic Attack in that list? What's the big hold-up with those two sets when we managed to get Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning the day they each went live?

The Incarnate system... look it up.

Thing is, would people actually play against stronger groups in AE or would they just be ignored?

Knowing the Devs, the answer is probably going to somehow involve Malta with extra Malta and a side of Malta.

Pretty much this. The new groups and maps. Nice, but I'd rather have the tech, the multiple dialog options especially.

The ability to change contacts during an MArc would be nice as well.

^^ this.

If my AE arc doesn't get picked for Aeon's 3rd challenge then I'll want the Morality system for it. I would SO SO SO use it.

Well I have seen quite a few posts praising the new Tina and Maria arcs despite, or sometimes because of the more difficult enemies, as well as several people in the Scrapper boards happy that there are new enemies that actually provide a challenge to our bazillion-inf tricked out builds without cheating.

I'd fight them, but again, they're really only suited to arcs that take place in Praetoria. You'd have to sell me on the arc itself first.

Hey, I like Malta. So it's probably going to involve DE with extra DE and a side of Quartz eminators.
