Oh and before you start blaming my computer or video card, I can assure you they both are running the game just fine.
Yeah, theres a little bit of 'jitter' in a way, in the parts where it switches from one part to another. I think, given that parts of any loop animation are randomised, thats simply an occupational hazard. But the actual parts, like the bouncing basketball and football keepy-ups, considering thats a whole other entity spawned in the animation, are quite impressive.

I just think it may be a precursor to shinier stuff in future. Although I will agree and advise that the new shiny gets made part of the regular updates. Because they have become quite sparse in stuff like emotes and costumes for a while now.
  2. Not having to have the 'Stamina Gulch' from 16-20, its name also a tribute to the Old Grendles Gulch, pre-jetpacks and Ninja run. Just as painful

Now? I won't need to stint on travel powers or early blast/melee powers. I can take Build up and Aim earlier rather than having to try and squeeze them in. I can entertain Hasten a lot earlier and recal friend on other chars where it fits thematically. Hell, even more than one travel power if Im on a build that is tight on slots and if it fits.
    The possabilities are endless.

Basically, if it -has- to be an Unlock (And from the Dev's track record, it will) I'd rather it be an -easy- unlock. Rather than Praetorian Merits or the reward from a TF.

I'd rather not have to traipse all over the place and go to the wiki just to find some damn badge that someone decided to stick in an obscure corner. Don't get me wrong, I think the badges are cool, but I am also sick to death of weapons requiring unlocking on every character (Do not talk to me about the Nemesis Rifle redisde!! *twitch*)

Just let those who have GR have access to them. Make a fresh start, or sort out the tech hurdle that would allow 'account unlocks', not just 'per char'.

All I want is for my pets to stand still and stay where I tell them to stand. Even if they get attacked. Especially if their attacker runs away.
    Ha! QFT.

That said, I think the 'MMs only' schtick is complete b*llocks. I mean, come on, their schtick is having a small army at their backs, all the time, with all the attack power in it. I should know, my main is one! Controllers have a few pets tops, and even then not all the time, except for maybe a permahasten Ill/ But that's not going to be the norm.

I mean 'controller'? It's in the name, even! Dumb pets are dumb, and that's with MM controls. Giving Controllers an ability to actually reign in runaways seems like a fine idea to me.
  5. I'd kill for the ability to be able to set which damn spawn point my Boss shows up on, and where the objective glowie shows up. To stop certain ones from being totally and in some cases nonsensically random.

Also, being able to spawn 'Boss Ambushes', as is possible in Dev made missions. Or place some sort of 'tripwaire' trigger.

Meh. T'be honest a complete, 3D visual interfae overhaul of the MA would be the best bet. But...yeah. Not happening.
    *Dreams*

Except that doesn't make any sense. The Acid Mortar deploys by the character landing, deploying it, and then going straight back to hover animation. Without the clunky need to un-toggle, click, re-toggle.

Why not just change 'ground only attacks' to follow the same rules as Acid Mortar (Unless, as I said, it may be a technical limitation), and simply drop the player on the ground, play the standard animation, then return them to hover animation.

Makes as much sense as anything.
  8. Despite the cost arguement and the somewhat limited perview that the emotes are useful in...

I gotta say, they are very slick. If this is the sort of quality we can expect on stuff like alternate power animations, future emotes and other stuff? That's a very good thing. 'cos someone obviously took some time out to do a decent job on these.

    No
Except that you can lay an acid mortar without turning off Hover while at ground level. But you can't use, say, stone spears or footstomp/solar flare.

So...you are within stomp range. Very easily. Why it doesnt work is, I guess, code related? Either way, it's a bit of a pain when stuff should make sense and work, yet doesnt.
  10. It depends. I think the reason I loved the Expendables so much was because, while it had an insane ammount of demolition derby explosions in it, and some bone crunching fight scenes, they were still all feasible. Really hard, once in a life-time stuff, but it was still just within the perview of plausibility, which for me makes it all the more awesome.
Flying a plane down towards a peir chock full of soldiers, unloading hell with twin nose-mounted machine guns, then dousing them in a tail-spray of petrol and finishing up by torching the whole lot? Insane...and yet awesome.
Oh, and that shotgun. God damn, I love me that shotgun...

So, a grounding in reality, even if its slightl, helps makes things all the more epic for me.

This is a ******* joke now. The damn thing is STILL giving me a bloody 'General Error' message! And, to top it off, some absolute genius decided that you need a Support Account AS WELL as a bloody game account! So I can't even get in touch with support!

    Fine. Don't take my money!

Edit: Ha. Sods law. It just finally did it this time.
I will not retract the rant, however, because it still holds true. Whoever built that system should be shot.
'General Error'...Ha! If I was an organic I would spit >_>
  12. I lol'd
And damnit all, you've given me ideas for AE now XD

  14. I still liked it at the start of the season where Church first recognised Washington.
Problem is, between...oo, the start of the Halo 2 graphics episodes and the Now, I missed them. Like, all of them.

So I have the middle to fill in XD
  15. EU store doesnt seem to want to work. So, woulda brought it (it's a quid cheaper than the other packs, and I have naff all else to spend cash on), but I'm not allowed. I smirked XD

I hold with the general consensus--Having your character related to/highly important to a canon NPC is generally bad form. Your character has a crush on Indigo or once had a few drinks in a bar with Synapse? Fine by me. You're Indigo's lover or Synapse's son? Now you're pushing it.
Gawd, I totally forgot about that badge...

Well, in actual canon backstory it says specifically that each Island has a Governer and a Marshall, so badge be damned, frankly.
Arbiters, on the other hand, seem to be fairly common, as seen in Grandeville and, heck, every zone. Recluse's own personal eyes, ears and in some cases fists. And we also know they do go out and fight, a la Arbiter Sands.

So Arbiter is at least half way believable, although most people still seem to use it as a power and ego trip rather than an actual RP challenge.
    Marshall? Nah.

I was literally bouncing in my seat it was so cool
  18. Wasn't it said that the 'High Ultra' end of Ultra mode was actually nigh un-runnable even on the top end PCs of today? And that they'd put in stuff for next-gen cards? I may be mis-remembering, but I'd swear it was said somewhere.

  20. You can take my Build Up, Aim, Inferno combo from me when ya pry it from my burning, dead fingers!

And even your still dead, 'cos you're now in range of Rise of the Phoenix!

I'd say leave Nukes as they are, with an increase in target-cap, accuracy and damage, to make them actually a bang worth the buck.

If you think being a Commander of a bunch of misfits is on the same level as being an Arbiter, well, your definition of that is as silly as your Godmodding one.
Not to mention Krimzon, who was just an uber-tanked Crab Spider
Who has minions, crowd control, and airstri- teleporting bombs

Others give them powers related to the mind, so that's controllers and doms of the mind kind.
Some myths claim they study magic, so that's pretty much all the power sets accounted for.
Other myths/stories claim rather than magic, they use alien technology, or stuff far more advanced than humans have, so that is all the power sets.

    Edit to add:

Does any one know how to stop the boards randomly logging me out, I'm telling it to keep me logged in.
I dunno, I've had that problem recently too, when it never used to happen. I guess they'll fix it at some point...

And, on this topic, what sets would a Commander have then? Because, by all accounts, we can get all the Arachnos powers, bar the Tarantula ones and a few shotgun blasts.

Yup. However, as far as we know 'Commander' is simply just; regimental commander. Recluse has his own private army; there are arguably hundreds of said commanders, each with their own regiment, battalion, whatever.

Now, had they both been Marshall's, that would have been a whole different kettle of fail, as we know that there are only a finite number of Marshall's, one per zone/island iirc. Brass is the one for Cap Au Diable, Blitz is the Rogue Marshall in Warburg, etc.

Also, Arachnos spend so much time beating the snot out of each other, let alone anyone else, that they actually lend themselves pretty well to player organisations. What about if you end up fighting the Patrons? Simple; Recluse decided to see if you were worth killing off or keeping. You don't actually fight the big bad himself ((SPOILERS!!)) not in this dimension anyway, so, again, it all evens out.

Claiming to be a Marshall would be a huge no no. Arbiters? Well, they seem to have a lot of them in places like GV and whatnot. I personally avoid Arbiters now as I said, but if anyone can play 'em well, so let 'em.
