I'd love to see a couple of things added to MA.

1) The ability to set light and fog conditions (sliders, maybe?)

2) temporary powers, i.e. temporary costumes, weapons, buffs

1} I'm pretty sure those are baked into the maps themselves. It would take an overhaul of the engine to support it.

2} How would those work? Temp powers available only inside the mission? If so, what are the downsides? If they're for keeps, what's to stop farming them?

I'd rather the ability to manually pick what is going to spawn where in a mission based on specific spawn points selected for each map
i.e. ambushes, bosses, object spawns, etc.


Far less likely to happen but even better I would love to be able to personally walk on the map I'm editing and drop "Spawn point sticks" or something of the like so there's even less confusion of what's going to end up where, and far deeper customization than what we have now.


A completely different idea is to have objectives spawn on a timer instead of needing an objective.

I'd kill for the ability to be able to set which damn spawn point my Boss shows up on, and where the objective glowie shows up. To stop certain ones from being totally and in some cases nonsensically random.

Also, being able to spawn 'Boss Ambushes', as is possible in Dev made missions. Or place some sort of 'tripwaire' trigger.

Meh. T'be honest a complete, 3D visual interfae overhaul of the MA would be the best bet. But...yeah. Not happening.

1) If lighting and atmospheric effects are baked in, then there's nothing really that can be done. The fog that comes up during a paranormal phenomenon in Atlas keeps coming to mind though. Couldn't something like that be applied on a more or less permanent basis on a mission map as well?

2) Yes, temp powers available only inside the mission. Perhaps even only certain temp powers. Originally I was thinking of being able to use temporary costumes, like disguises, or just for effect. i.e. I have a mission where I'd love to put the hero/villain in a space suit, because there's no atmosphere. A bubble of some sort might also be good for this. In this case, it's for storytelling purposes.

I would be content with the ability to halfway defeat a boss, then be able to talk to them like in certain GR missions. Would open up a LOT of doors for me.
