Damn, I really liked her :/

Quit trying to pick a fight, there are always going to be exceptions. His point still stands, the wisps aura was infinitely easier and available to more people than the tweet code thursdays codes.

Quote:If they are, they're not labeling them enough. Batch 19 didn't work but it wasn't specified as US or EU.So I'm guessing the pictures that had the codes were region locked. NA can see NA, and EU can only see EU

At least for me this comes up blank. -

I've got a code already but I was curious and went to check.
Yyyyeah. yfrog seems to be messing up. I can't even browse the gallery, it just shows up a blank account. -
Quote:No it won't take you to -39-. You can do the whole of First Ward and get pretty close to 29. You can fill in with the 3 of FIVE repeatable contacts you get to push you.It may be best to go to the "real world" (primal earth) anyway. There's more to do, and you can easily access First Ward from Talos or Cap, since portals are set up in both places. Good new arcs in Primal for villains and heroes both, and as mentioned the new Praetorian content won't take you all the way to 29.
Night ward on the other hand will probably drop you around 33 or so and there's only 2 repeatable contacts (plus the task pool contacts).
but it's pretty feasible to not jump straight to Primal earth. -
Alternately he could -really- speed up his incarnate progress by choosing the 10 thread reward instead of the alignment merit. That's 100 threads in one go (doing 7 episodes of vol 1, 2 episodes of vol 2, and repeating any 1 for the weekly) which could mean unlocking slots or slotting open ones.

Well there's also the distinction that it would be an EAT, not an AT. They are two entirely different animals afterall. An AT lets you choose your primary and secondary from whatever power types your AT deals in. EATs have that all pre-selected.

Quote:Designing game balance around epic loot is how you get the 900 lbs gorilla in the room. No thanks.I don't particularly care about how bad designers view balance. Call a spade a spade. If they don't design around what can be achieved, they're bad.
If you add character upgrades in your game, you should model how sets react to that gear upgrade. Ideally you design a system by which your player build options (in this case, called powersets) react equally well to all available power upgrades, but do so in different ways. Yes that means you have to understand your game on a very deep level, so that you know how powerset X with enhancement set Y performs or does not perform.
Like Energy Melee. It doesn't perform. It's not BAD like Energy Blast is bad, but it's certainly not among the good single-target sets like Fire Melee or Dark Melee. -
They do. At 10 you get contacted by Montague Castanella and.. I think the university director?
At 20 you get contacted by Mistress Maria and a couple of the other Talos contacts.
At 30 Archmage Hellewise pokes you.
So, yeah. You get told about other contacts kind frequently. -
Yeah I really wish they'd let Untouchable count for the Accolade instead :P

I'd have been interested to see some takes on some of the other villains in the rogue's gallery. I -loved- what they did with Two Face, Scarecrow and Joker. Though part of the problem is the emphasis on realism kind of takes out a number of them, like Poison Ivy or Clayface (without tweaking or toning down anyhow). Honestly I was a lil sad that Riddler was the initial choice for this movie and passed over.
Really I think one of the few mistakes the movie made in terms of the overall trilogy is making the time jump directly from the end of Dark Knight. I think it would've been better to have made the 'putting up the cape' moment somewhere within the 8 years instead of after Dent dies. Some wiggle room so if they wanted they could've fit in a movie in between Dark knight and Rises. It just seems like the story wrapped up so quick in terms of Batman's 'career' though I never thought the time difference between Begins and Dark Knight was all that wide. It just feels like -more- should've happened. -
Quote:All of themBatman hasn't looked like the Bob Kane Batman in decades.
So which one is the "real" one? The one in the current comics, or the one in the comics before they just rebooted the comic, or the DCAU Batman, or the Silver Age Batman, or the Golden Age Batman? Was the Year One Batman the real Batman? Its considered generally canonical, and Batman Begins parallels it in many ways.
Quote:But then again, who is Christopher Nolan to depart so dramatically from the current state of the comic books. I mean, the last time we let someone get away with that, we got The Dark Knight Returns. And look at how bad that turned out. -
They seem to be kicking out issues on a 3-4 month schedule, giving it 2-3 months in beta. 23 dropped at the dead end of May. I wouldn't be surprised if 24 beta hits in a week or two and will probably hit live like Octoberish.
That's all just conjecture though, but that just seems to be the rough timeline since Issue 21, 21.5, 22 and 23. -

Quote:Or he's a superhero and thus reality doesn't apply, pending writer decision. This actually brings up something that you dont generally see in comics: Wear and Tear injuries. A lot of the injuries Bruce has is consistent with type of injuries many a post career football player has. There is a reason why football players have careers of maybe five years if their lucky, its all of the physical punishment they place on their bodies. Likewise, some other athletes suffer the same thing, there is a reason why you wont see a middle aged gymnast in the Olympics. While this can be explained in some like Superman, the Hulk, or Spider-man, that it is a function of being a superhuman, but other examples like Bats or Daredevil?
So what this means for comic book Batman
-He has minor regenerative abilities that helps with wear and tear injuries.
-He takes periodic baths in Lazarus Pits
-He has access to medicine more advanced than what we have. -

Quote:Fair enough. At the time, this statement was true. Arbiter Hawk put in a massive amount of extra work to get the nuke changes into Issue 24 which we were then able to announce after the fact.
Then I'll say "What is true as of this time is not always true later".
And sure, no new AT. It was clearly not a standard AT. And work may be done or may be shelved for the moment. -
Quote:it was a doctor who reference actually, but it still holds. The devs don't always speak the truth, yes, usually by doublespeak or implied meaning. "We have no plans for Crashing Nukes in i24" comes to mind, for a recent example.Actually in my experience they very rarely lie because if they get caught in a lie it's bad PR. What they do do is make vague statements that either don't give any real information or are misleading.
Oh then I did miss something. My apologies!
