  1. Wonderful news, if a bit sad EM is leaving...
  2. Ad Astra

    Need help

Totally biased answer from a Blaster player - the best defense is a dead enemy. MOAR DAMAGE!
  3. Starting this week? (tomorrow)
  4. Is this 10 p.m. Eastern?

I would love to join if it is. Not sure what I would bring - probably my electric/ice troller, Winter Shock or my baby MFing Warshade, Incarnate Shadow.
  5. Not going to be there this week - Origins and a Meet & Greet after the convention Saturday evening.

    Have fun!

^This. I teamed with IB's Electric Controller a couple of times and it looked like so much fun, I rolled one myself.

Demon Summoning moves pretty fast at low levels - haven't gotten to midgame with her yet.

I have some trouble with the animations for Kinetic Melee and Dual Pistols.
  7. See sig below...

I think I have one of every AT, but my Tankers and Khelds lag behind the rest.

But mostly, I Blast things (even when I'm playing Defenders and Controllers).
  8. Before we could recolor stuff, my "witch" characters used Rad/Rad (both a defender and a corruptor).

I also have a caster who is a Fire/Ice/Electric Blaster - she's more of an elemental caster than a witch, per se.

Finally, I also have a lowbie Illusion/Kinetics Controller.

I used Rad Emission and Kinetics to represent power than drains the target (Siphon Power, the Kinetics "heal", Rad Infection, etc.)
  9. I should be able to make it.

Looking at the levels, I will be bringing Maurya, Brighid or Agoniste.

Probably Brighid, she hasn't been in the Sewers yet, IIRC.

  11. I would petition a GM to see if they can change it.
  12. You would be more likely to get good answers if you post this in the Tech Issues forum back up the page a bit. There are real tech-heads there who love to answer these types of questions.
  13. I should be able to be there - bringing "damage" most likely - Maurya (eng/elec blaster) or Brighid (fire/ice blaster) - but I can also bring Agoniste (fire/rad troller) if needed.
  14. *One line post imitating the style of another well-known poster (nothing really contributing to the discussion, pious denunciation of Tyrant).

I'm not a fan of sets that limit themselves to a single origin. Also - how would this differ from the Defense sets already in game? With only a name for the set, I can't tell that this would be anything that can't already be done in-game.

    Blaster SUPPORT sets:
Most likely: Void Manipulation (A.k.a. "Dark Manipulation). Lots of powers and animations can be re-used here. Dark Melee attacks and toned-down Dark Miasma-esque support powers would be nice. What blaster doesn't want Dark Fluffy or even Siphon Life? Once again, we're much more likely to see this one assuming they re-tune Dark Blast and proliferate it for Blasters.
Yes, please - but I would rather see a Dark Blast set.

What I'd like to see: Cybernetics. Cybernetics could combine Super Strength-style attacks with some interesting (primarily Melee) soft control and debuffs, along with +Stealth. They'd get Quick Reload, a short-duration major recharge buff.
Again - a set that seems to limit itself to a single origin.

And before someone bring up Demon Summoning as a powerset that screams "Arcane" origin - I wasn't really a fan of that one when it was suggested either.

I am so sorry to hear this. Words fail me (and probably wouldn't help much anyway) - so I wish your sister peace and I wish you and the rest of your family comfort.

  19. I will be there!

Bringing Agoniste (fire/rad troller) or one of my blasters (Maurya or Brighid).
  20. Count me in!

Bringing Agoniste (fire/rad troller) or Nerys (rad/rad defender).
  21. Small nitpick - the EU servers aren't "new" - it's just that players on the NA servers didn't have access to them until recently.
  22. I suppose I was assuming this was preparation for tomorrow's lagfest on Freedom...
  23. Most of this looks great, but I'm actually a bit unhappy with the AoE buffs change. I really have some situations where I DON'T want to be SB'd. I guess the team will have to spread out to avoid it, hard to do on a gray caves map or in Oranbega.

    "Gather for SB!!!"

Some combination of the above - depending upon whether there is a good movie on, which I doubt since it's a Friday of a holiday weekend.
  25. Welcome Back!

    Have you checked the Wiki?

The WST picks one TF to feature every week beginning on Tuesday after regular maintenance. Completing that WST awards increased rewards - double merits and a bunch of XP for characters under level 50 and any level 50 who hasn't begun the Incarnate content by opening their Apha slot.

Level 50s who have opened the Alpha slot are awarded a different reward that has to do with progress through that subsystem - I'm not really doing that with most characters (I only have 4 level 50s anyway) so I will let someone more familiar with that answer you.

The new Trials (Lambda Sector & Behavioral Adjustment Facility) are a bit like WoW raids, but they are generally really fast to complete - a major difference AFAIK.
