I don't know how people my own age can posses such talent. That's just a universal sized kick in the fork. With steel toe caps. From long range.
*le sigh* Someone obviously spent a HELL of a lot more time practicing than I did
Still, I'd be madder than a hatter not to want someone so talented to have a shot at Alpha if they feel up to it. I've been trying to draw the little virus myself but, alas, Uni work and other problems (a perfectionist streak that makes finishing anything hard...) it's not been going so well.
Here's the little terror, should you take a crack at him;
*Stares for a while then goes to beat up his motivation and try and get something on paper* -
He's a zombie who knows a lot. Obviously over-indulged in the brains one too many times.
Now, back to bowing to your one true robotic overlord, fleshsacks; Me! -
Quote:I think they give the same rewards as regular missions. Except maybe the mission completion bonus(?)I thought the Devs Choice ones where supposed to eventually become regular missions.
*shrug* I know I'd enter the arc in my sig to replace Azuria's current dross- sorry, missions. -

Quote:Do you really want me to comment on that? Really? Because I can, and I will. But seriously, I bow to your alien energy-dragon of cosmic power who is secretly actually a giant-monster sized, dual-cannon wielding, EMP spacecraft-riding Arachnos Widow with the unlimited Deus Ex ability of spawning random machines with random guns who aren't really Arachnos underlings.
Wow. Is it just me or is all that just weird and implausible with the way we RP here. Case closed.
Knock it off. End the hell of. -
Rogue Isles, Sometime later
Somewhere deep beneath St Martial...
The light was dim, next to non-existant. The most prominent glow was that from the monitors and arrays of complex, pressure sealed glassware, a haunting neon green that tinted everything with a slightly sickly edge.
"So it seems our current predicemant is a curious parrallel, hmm? Myself and my kind are stuck in forms by necessity, that by rights we should be able to shuck. And you are trapped without a form to call your own. I feel we have room to provide each other a valuable service. I provide you with a new body...and you aid me in my research, to find a way to exist without a 'host'. When the Nictus are no longer bound like parasites to other beings...then we shall be free, free to explore our true potential."
Nightwalker leaned back, steepling his fingers as he regarded the crystal sat on his desk. It was the only other source of light in the room, a pale blue glow, identical to that of an essence without a body.
And maybe, if you listening closely, you might be able to make out words from inside...
"You and I, Miss Tomb, have a lot of work to do." -
Vasch can always drop on them and nab the body back?
However, I am with Dev on this one. Just ignoring his part about Tombs body was a little...well, yeah.
Anyhows, however. -

Quote:Why are you slacking and posting, Michelle?! *cracks whip*Damn, I was sure I had the guaranteed method of making sure it came out today... my I-19 trailer isn't finished yet.
On the bright side, more time for me to finish filming... on the dark side, LOTS of players honked off coz the issue's not live yet.

Naah, we know it'll be ready when it's ready, but I have a right to be impatient for awesome videography
hehe

Quote:Why would I want to read more drivel hurling baseless and unfounded critiscisms and insults at people?
On a side note: getting irate at the OP is really just pandering. Didn't you guys look up his other posts?
If I wanted that, I'd go on the Blizzard or Bungie forums

I think Pious nixed the two aimed at Tomb, although the colateral blast still got her.
he did specifically mention missing the one aimed at the sub, though. *double checks*
Edit: Ya, here we go;
Quote:As he preached on, reaching out to the girl's heart, Priest had failed to see the grenade shot towards the submarine. He wouldn't be able to deflect it off-course. -

Quote:Ladies, please; handbags down.F.U. Jerk. If I went on to make another thread just like this one people would be screaming at me for not just posting in an old thread. Go troll else were.
This and all of Davids threads should be considered exempt from 'zombie rez' anyway; Dev threads for feedback should be stickied, imo. -
I'd rather they showed up in the specific Kheldian arc, which makes sense, rather than running into the damn things every mission or other.
Leave in the odd Nictus Boss that pops up in normal missions. Those are quite fun, and actually make a bit of sense (well, except for the random White Dwarfs and Bright novas....those are Peacebringer forms, not Nictus...so....*shrug*)
The Cysts make no sense. Those things are meant to be ludicrously rare and well guarded. But oh, hey, put them in with a bunch of X mob for teh lulz! -
Quote:-who obviously don't know the meaning of the word MODESTY.
"Developed by the brilliant minds at Cryptic studios-"
Ye gods...Just when I think I can't despise 'em any more.
Although, to be fair, the devs who became Paragon Studios are quite brilliant. They were also smart enough to leave Cryptic far behind
-
The only ones so far are my Empath (never needed it) and my Warshade (Stygian Circle, nuff said)
The others? I'm gonna be up late one night, heh. -

I'm a perfectionist. I have multiple awards in web designing, screenwriting and roleplaying game designing. In all the fields of my interest, I create masterpieces. This is mostly because I do, whatever it is I do, I always do it properly. I do background checks, I research and I perfect whatever I do, before giving it to audience. I don't doubt your probably a decent enough screenwriter. Probably a decent story teller.Quote:The tone of this RP does not please everyone, and it is not suppose to. This is not something for everyone.
But in an RP game, the players are the heroes, the villains, the people for whom the content is FOR. They aren't there to marvel at how perfect the design is, and to bask in its glory; the story and arcs are there for THEM to enjoy. If they do enjoy them, great; mission accomplished. If, on the other hand, they thing 'This is a self righteous and self important arc written by someone who doesnt actually care two shakes for the people playing it. I'mma go do something else.'
As someone who's currently working on multiple projects of their own and studying animations, I know exactly what its like to aim for perfection. But I also know that, if the audience doesnt care squat about it? Your outta business. End of. -
Or add the mayhem/safeguard missions to Ouro, as they really should be in there.
Especially since Mayhems have an accolade attached to them. -
It was too little too late. With a final shudder in the air itself, Nightwalker vanished, leaving only the cold taint of Nictus energy behind him.
The shield and surrounding energy exploded violently, with the same level of ferocity that was often called a 'Quasar' by the Warshades of Paragon.
The Nictus essences persisted, at least until they were focussed on and destroyed, lashing out at anyone nearby.
The Nictus Scientist and the essence of the girl Tomb were gone. -
Quote:Lucard watched Tomb fall, his face a mix of rage and relief. Her death meant his people were safe at last, but now her attrocities would go unpunished. He watched the Nictus take Tomb's essence, and let out a howl, imbueing his pistols with dark energy and firing at the Nictus as it tried to flee the battle field. He began to run foward, blasting the Nictus energies away from him as he tried to ressurect Tomb with the same powers he had used on the Priest, still firing to keep the Nictus at bay, focusing his essence summoning powers purely on Tomb's soul. One of the nicti essences moved in front of Lucard, blasting back at him when he opened fire, steadily weakening as it was absorbed instead of Tomb's essence. The other moved in front of Erez'Zul, chunks of energy burning away as it took the brunt of the flaming strikes. The orbiting shards melded back into the shield, their energy absorbed to reinforce it.Quote:F11
Erez'Zul watched as the Nictus pulled out the childs essence from her dead body, his angry overruled any reason he had left within him.
A large flaming sword erupted from his hand, he flew at the shield, striking it again and again, dark tentacles bursting from the floor, wrapping itself around the bubble trying to attack the Nictus inside.
The tentacles blocked some of the attacks but the ones that got through hit Erez'Zul hard, as this point however, it didnt matter, he wouldnt stop until he got through, feeling a greater anger than he had for centurys.
"No matter where you go, or what you do this day, i will hunt you down!! I will kill every one of your kind until your the last, i wont stop, I WILL NEVER STOP!!"
"You would not be the first," Nightwalker replied calmly. "We have weathered assaults by fanatics and the misguided before. Our destiny will not be denied us, not by the likes of you. And I wish you the best of luck in escaping what was unleashed here. You may need it," he added as he began to fade out, with a curt nod at the submarine and, more importantly, the devastating grenade that was headed straight for it. -
Quote:True, except for the fact people like myself have got into closed Betas without actually reciveing any email whatsoever. I don't think I've ever recieved a Beta email, yet I've been in a fair few of the closed Betas now. *shrug* C'est la vieFor what its worth, I think there's a certain logic to this. The checkbox says:
Want to stay ahead of the game? Sign up here to receive the NCsoft newsletter, beta announcements, game trials and other exclusive offers - delivered straight to your inbox.
Its entirely possible that the email invites into closed betas are technically "unsolicited email" and thus they need permission to actually send them to you. By unchecking this box, you not only eliminate mass email from NCSoft, you also eliminate the permission for them to send you *any* mass mailing, including closed beta invites.
The checkbox all but *says* you need to check it to receive beta announcements and other offers, of which the closed betas are probably one of. -

Quote:Yeah, that still hacks me off a little every time they trot that one out."Acclaimed"? The acclaim for Crytpic kinda stopped after they sold their one and only success

They don't own CoX anymore, so why are they allowed to mention it? Sure, they started it...but it's the Paragon studios team who have made it what it is today.
