  1. If using the higher resolution because it's the native resolution of your new LCD means turning down other features... do it; for not using the native resolution introduces bad resolution.

That is debatable, but player consensus calls it a Proc. Mechanically, it functions more like other Special IOs that are definitely Procs than it does like Special IOs that are definitely not Procs and act just like single item Global Sets.

Think of it this way, it has a 'chance' to 'go off' when a power is activated, only, it's 'chance' is 100%.

That is unlike 'Global' Special IOs which are always on whether the power is activated or not or even greyed out.

Like Procs, Numina's and other 'Proc120s' never shut off through exemplaring, unlike Global IOs. Like Procs, Numina's must be in a power thats 'on' for it to 'work.'

    That's why they're called Procs.

See the discussion of terminology here: paragonwiki.com/wiki/Ios#Special_IOs_from_Sets

  9. Not sure why there's a gate there, but it's been there a very long time. It is *not* in any way an indication of future content.

  11. Hope the lines were written with dry erase for all the reboots.
  12. How about several different 'Top 7' lists.

Top 7 favorite zones, costumes, missions, auras, powers, villains, etc...

Background music: I'm Alive by ELO. It's what the Muse Sisters danced to in Xanadu and it's thumbing its nose at all those who said CoH was dying over the years.
  13. Edit: Oops. I had originally asked if the Vanguard Pack included the costume change emote. And I see by Black Pebble's post it does. So, I'll just link to what it is for those who don't know. It is unlocked at a Vanguard invention table in the RWZ for 100 V-Merits.

  14. There may be stuff happening in your future.

    Looks fun.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought, "Must be a Stephen King novel about a demon-possessed pencil eraser."

    I wasn't too far off.

So, even if this isn't a joke, it's a spot-on straight-faced parody of modern horror films with 2 dimensional supernatural threats. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Christine.
  17. Last year testing the Winter Event with Lord Winter's Realm, there was a problem with the zone events going at the same time as an opening to LWR. They did something to stop the conflict, but I think was to simply prevent both happening at the same time.

So, this year, they may have just shut down those zone events during the Winter Event, or, the code to prevent a conflict is bugged and stopping those zone event completely.

I'd wait for the Winter Event to be over and see if they come back. If they don't, /bug it.

    Translated for you
The joke is that Samuel Tow isn't a terrible teammate.

As mentioned above (and self-admittedly), he posts about his dislike of 'forced' teaming. A lot. Really a lot. With each post being long. Really long.

The tedium of those continual walls of text is *jokingly* translated into being a bad teammate, which he isn't.

He isn't a bad teammate. That's the joke. But people are willing to jokingly accept that fake premise out of their reaction to his bickering about it.

Now that you know... isn't this thread hilarious?

That's why Studio 55 in ImpCity can be completely empty at times, especially if you're the first one there after a server reset. Or why Acantha (Halloween costume salvage contact) is sometimes there and sometimes not.

The purpose of this 'chance to spawn' code is to give the cities an air of organic unpredictability so you don't see the same static NPCs in the same place all the time.

The problem is that when this 'chance to spawn' code is applied to critters that are supposed to be there all the time. It should be considered a bug and /bugged when you see it.

Anyway, if you need to spawn a missing static NPC to interact with them/it, then just run out of spawning distance and back in (usually out of visual drawing distance) or rezone. You may have to do this several times to cause the spawn to happen.

So...WHY are they still locked out for PCs? It makes no sense!
Because they saw the Developer's choices available to them to create NPCs.

And as much as people say, "They worked fine!" I doubt they tried them on all PC models at all sizes and all scales in conjunction with all hair styles, all shoulder pieces, all wings, all boots, and all capes.

    Your confidence serves you well.

    /e HeroLoyal
    /e VigilanteLoyal
    /e VillainLoyal
    /e RogueLoyal

For those who edit the quickmenu and popmenus, the Authbit is VanguardPack.

Which is interesting, because it doesn't seem limited to actual alignment. IOW, any toon of any alignment can perform any of the four loyalty emotes.
