Quote:This thread inspired me to go out and be nice to some newbies, so I hit up Nova Praetoria on Freedom. I met a lot of surprisingly fun people, and it only cost me 25,000,000 (1M to each character I met with an interesting costume).
I should be nice more often!
This makes me happy to hear! -
Having left Praetoria a few times now, teaming has proven to be the fastest. 3-4 people can steamroll through the content very quickly and the constant dinging of people, while at first enjoyable, becomes surprisingly annoying lol

I loved SG:1, wasn't much of a fan of SG:A, but gave SG:U a shot - I stopped watching after the second episode. I think it was the "Oh no! We're lost in space, whatever will we do?" plot that turned me away (I liked it when Voyager did it only because they continually got shafted at every turn during the first season but kept hope and didn't go the route of pirating). I think that that specific type of storyline is best left in reserve and pulled out once ever 20yrs or so as its fairly formulaic and predictable.
As for "SyFy" - it's nothing but by-the-book creature/disaster movies these days and to be honest, I don't see these sticking around for much longer either. It's obvious the network is struggling it'll end up just like any other network showing a hodgepodge of titles with no real niche. -
I could never figure out why, but I always hated Pippi with such a violent passion. Now Ramona Quimby, that's where I was at.

I'm not sure sure if this falls into action or not, but it's called Ip Man and is awesome.

It's just been brought to my attention that I will be out of town and away from civilization during the entirety of the X2 weekend. So, yeah, this is a bummer. I was looking forward to this

Quote:Amen! Preach on!Die Hard in my mind, to this day remains the standard to which all other action movies should be judged. I've watched it a number of times bordering on the obscene, and I swear it never even shows signs of getting old.
Quote:Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 are in this category also..I liked 3 and 4 as well but they dont have the classic status of the first two
Wait, no, I love Beverly Hills Cop too XD -
From my own personal, albeit limited, knowledge so far, I think situations like these are more common as the community is smaller and tends to police themselves in-game better than most. Where one would expect rude and elitist behavior, you find a stranger dumping currency/enhancements in someone's lap just because they can. There may not be a hardlined motivation behind it, but I think it reinforces good-natured behavior in a non-obvious way.
The best I can do right now is click and drag spare insps onto a player. I do this all the time now. I play in a certain way that allows even my squishies to avoid most damage and wind up with excess health, so I send them off to whomever is closest or in the process of dying. Every little bit counts, right? -
To jump in on this - I have never done an X2 weekend and was wondering what the best way is to take full advantage of it?

He is chasing and being chased through an entire building barefoot while cursing up a storm. Chase scenes don't get better than that!

Quote:....really? Really really? I have never noticed this. When you leave a tab, the tab name itself turns grey. When there is new activity in a tab, the name turns white again. So, you can scan a whole line of tabs for new activity by looking for white-named tabs.
As far as sound goes, I am not aware of anything that can be done. -
I have tabs set up for different channels but I never know if any of them are active unless I check. I know when I receive a /tell I get a *bleep*, but is there anything I can do for the other channel tabs?

So last night I was lost in the middle of The Hollows looking for the area named "Four Seasons". The map was blacked out and I was unable to tab out to find a map, so I asked in JSFA2010(?) if anyone knew where it was. Someone gave me a good indicator so off I traveled. When I finally get there, this dude shows up and offers to run with me. He stuck around for a few missions and then showed me the AE missions (what a blast those are!), explained how to access them and then dropped 20mill influence in my pocket outta nowhere.
Have any of you encountered (or caused an encounter of) a random act of kindness? -
Bah! It's all propaganda to keep the war-machine moving. Pay no attention to the lies.

Quote:If I remember my science right, then the current theory is that changing history through time travel is impossible as anything you change immediately creates an entire new reality."Alternate reality" is usually used interchangeably with "alternate universe" (as is the incorrect "alternate dimension"), but "alternate reality" doesn't really mean "alternate universe." It could just as easily refer to a timeline that's been changed by a time traveler, a la movies like Back to the Future or The Butterfly Effect.
I noticed last night a reinforcement of the multiverse and doppleganger theory when I first made my way to Primal Earth. Some dude is all like "oh you been baaaaad, me'sa goin to arrest you! rabble rabble rabble" (that's my own paraphrasing) and I was like "wha?" and he says "you been seen doin da bad stuff all over this country AND comin back here to do good. you lie. you goin to the hoosegow!". I wasn't havin this and told this lawdog that he be wack since I'm not even from this place. Well his top boss tells him my other self was just seen being a hero WHILE he was talking to me. Yeah, the dude zipped his lip.
Dopplegangers. Can't live with them... and, uh, thats it. Those jerks always get you in trouble. -

So getting 1 toon of either faction to lvl20 does not unlock both HEAT & VEAT? Only the EAT of the faction that has the lvl20?
-
So I got my Praetorian to lvl 20 and went hero side. I logged to make an EAT and noticed it was still greyed out. The pop-up on it says you must have a toon of at least level 20. So I logged back into my lvl20, logged out and it was still the same way. Logged out of the game and back in, same thing. I tried looking online, but the majority of the guides still say lvl50 and there was one post here on the forums that mentioned having to be a natural hero/villain before it would unlock but the thread died out before any hard confirmation was made to the fact.
Can I get some clarification, please? Pretty please? With sprinkles on top!? -

Now see, why couldn't they have added a big ol' neon sign in the beginning stating "This is an alternate reality. Don't panic." and then a calm silky voice a la Morgan Freeman explains all I need to know.
I'm not sure if that was supposed to be a question or a statement. I got lost thinking about Morgan Freeman's voice.
