Requirement Clarification

So I got my Praetorian to lvl 20 and went hero side. I logged to make an EAT and noticed it was still greyed out. The pop-up on it says you must have a toon of at least level 20. So I logged back into my lvl20, logged out and it was still the same way. Logged out of the game and back in, same thing. I tried looking online, but the majority of the guides still say lvl50 and there was one post here on the forums that mentioned having to be a natural hero/villain before it would unlock but the thread died out before any hard confirmation was made to the fact.

Can I get some clarification, please? Pretty please? With sprinkles on top!?

Yeah, I had heard problems with this too. Did you hit 20 in Hero land, or in Praetoria?

Maybe try rolling a natural hero and seeing if that unlocks them.

Unfortunately you do need a natural Hero (started at level 1 in Paragon City) that hit 20 to unlock the Khedians and a natural Villain (started at level 1 in Rogues Isles) that hit 20 to unlock the Soldiers.


Look at the bright side, hitting 20 isn't that hard. When you're eligible for the Positron TFs, do them several times and you'll rocket to 20.

The "Epic Archetypes Unlocked!" message that pops up on a Praetorian character shouldn't be there. Praetorians cannot unlock Epic archetypes; those are specific to City of Heroes and City of Villains, and Praetorians are in Praetoria, a "neutral" zone.

It's working as intended that the archetypes are not unlocked when you level a Praetorian character to level 20. You must level a Hero (starting in Paragon City) to level 20 to unlock Hero epic archetypes, and you must level a Villain (starting in the Rogue Isles) to level 20 to unlock Villain epic archetypes.
