There are some that would say "yes". I say it's throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Which you never, EVER want to do 'cause you end up with a wet and critcally injured baby...
Nice thing about babies and ae missions, you can make more.

  2. I like running AE missions for content... and regular mission for that matter. The one 'problem' I see as far as trying to team and keep up with content is that only the leader gets to see (is able to read) the story arc ... AE or otherwise. Not sure if there is a way to fix this... but for the people that enjoy the content - I think it would be a good start.

Anyone that takes 20 Minute to complete a farm needs to take up knitting or bowling.

I'm not a great farmer as I am new to it, but even I can clear a 4x8 ambush farm in about 3.5 - 4 minutes... at least the ambush portion of it... which gives max tickets 1500 per map board... anything after that is wasted (to me) in terms of farming.

My question is how much of this 'new lag' is caused by the new watch dog? Lag didn't seem to be as much of an issue prior to it's advent. Yes, I'm talking about (M)orially (A)justing (R)ertard (T)hrottle (y)because we like you.

I have heard the argument that it's just number crunching, but it seems thin. Take any system, add something that keeps track of ever single critter I creamate in the AE building - on top of all the other problems - and other people creamating critters - it has to add up someplace.

I am not saying that having a watch dog is a bad idea - as I am a computer idiot, I have no clue if this is an actual problem - other then common sense seems to point at it - but if it is... is the benefit worth the downside?

  4. And I thought the servers were broken cause they were trying to make them xbox360 compatable.... (not that I'm trying to start rumours.... snicker)

    Peace.
  5. I guessed from the "server status" menu that the servers are still broken - mmmmmm any idea of when they are going to be fixed.... ??

Also, IMHO it is normal for people to feel frustrated when they have had fairly good service for the last 6 to 7 years. To me it's more of a credit to the game. Hope they get it fixed soon.

    As you were.

    Peace.
  6. I thought the cut scene (in the BAF trial) was put into place to ensure everyone loaded... trying to get 24 people to the same place so they can all start at about the same time being the goal. I could be wrong.

    Freedom is Dead!

And I didn't even know it was sick... (sigh)
  8. Went Nerve with mine, but I am only slotted with 3 acc under the SoA Training Thingy all of the actual powers are set for damage, recharge, and End Reduction. Works pretty well, have problems hitting +4 sometimes but with the Nerve Thingy it's hits regularly now. (also the DEF bonus and Hold work well with Def training, Armor and Coccoon (respecitvely).
  9. I have a college eduation and it's confusing to me... but I'm old and feeble minded to start with.

My question is do the new 'thread based powers" only work in the new trials. If so then there's not much point in making everything "tread based".

(this is what I heard.. I haven't actually been able to find the information on it.. but like I said.. I'm old, feeble minded and the interwebs confuse me) (smile)
  10. Just a thought. If you put the system status screen ie. LMAO (NEVER MIND.. THERE IS A LINK didn't see it the first time through Sorry ALL)

    Freedom - Up/Down
    Infinity - Up/Down
    Justice - Up/Down
    ect ad nossium

On the screen you see when you log on (new loader thingy)

I think this would be helpful.

    Channels

Been having problems lately with red side channels vs. blue side channels. I have one of each. Is there any prohibition to having channels that are for blue side and red side simultaniously?. Also is there a max number of channels you can have? ie. can you only be party to 2 different chat channels at one time?
  13. The one thing I would really like to see, base wise is the ability to use the medical facility in the base and then use the exit portal to stick you right outside the mission door you just died in. That would actually justify having a medical facility in a base.. otherwise there's not much point in having one.. Nobody uses it and you can buy inspirations at the hospital.

  14. I don't see AE as a fix. Yes, I farm tickets when I really need them, but they always seem to nerf the farms for tickets, which is a pain, because I usually end up having to find a new farm instead of enjoy playing the rest of the game. I appologize if this attitude seems offensive, but I'm not a huge fan of AE, some people seem to enjoy the AE farming community, it's not for me. I just solo farm for tickets. Next project, learn how to make ticket farms in AE.

  15. I don't think the 'frequency' of drops will actually solve this problem... cause I will bet most people will hoard the 'valuable' stuff, ie. alchemist silver that usually is expenisive, and red salvage especially (I know I hoard them cause I don't wanna pay 3,000,000 for a diamond) and with the talk of even more storage space the problem will probably get worse not better.

Ok.. that was a dollars worth.

  18. Oh.. add a MEMORIZED tab at the top also

make the it 3 TABS at the top - CURRENT, MEMORIZED, ALL preferably in that order. (Seems like you would only need those 3 TABS instead of the shload of them that are currently in place)
  19. The answer to fixing inflation is simple. Take a lesson from the current administration. Give everyone that leads teams a stimulus incentive bonus of 100,000,000 Influence per mission.

Semi serious thinking on this. I used to mess with the market back when it first came out. Ie. use all 10 slots (at the time) to buy and bid on 1 item - I would buy up every item for a price of less then (at the time) 5000 (which was a lot back then) and then turn around and put them up for sale for 10,000. It seem the best way to avoid this type of 'market scheming' would be to have the game periodically dump (once a week or so) mass quanities of items in on the market at the low low price of 500 per item for white salvage, 1000 per item for yellow salvage, and 5000 per item for red savlage. Thus ending the ability to manipulate the market. The same process could be used for recipes as well... but base the price on the value of Regular Stock IO's - yellow recieps 3X the value of reg stock IO value of a similar lvl recipe - Red recieps 5 x the value of reg stock IO of similar lvl - Purple 10 x the value of reg stock IO's of similar lvl. - Or some formula that seems accepitable to whomever decides how much things should be paid for.

    2 cents worth.

  20. Would it be possible to just have 2 tabs to use when you click on a work bench? Lable one tab CURRENT which would denote the Recipes you actually have on hand in your inventory and keep the ALL tab so that if a player wanted to purchase a recipe then they still can. I think this would make the whole crafting experience a tad easier for newer players and less annoying for the experienced ones.

    The idea -

The default setting would be CURRENT tab. When you click on the work bench to craft it would come up with TABS across the top of the screen with just the RECIPES you have in your inventory.

Keep the ALL tab (which is the default setting now) which list all of the RECIPES so that players still have the option to buy RECIPES if they want too.

I think this would make the whole crafting process less intimidating and easier to understand for newer players and I think it would make it easier for experienced ones to build what they have on hand instead of having to click on recipes, then click on the work bench, then click on recipes, ect. ad nossium.

(If there is some way to do this that I have missed... let me know)

  21. "...you basically buff all your buddies and then sit in a corner "

So the people you play with don't heal or use their primary or secondary sets at all? The three emp powers I use the most are heal target, heal spam, and clear mind. (my emps are mostly ice or dark) so I try to target bosses with either holds/debuffs while healing Melee / other defs / trollers / blasters (yes in that order)... in the meantime making sure the other squishes have a clear mind or two on them and telling them that Ra is going off (genearlly in near the melee croud) - it involves paying a little attention to your allies, where you are in relation to them, their health bars and icons next to the bars.

"the intent is that most of the buff be pre-combat active rather than during combat...yes, this requires paying some attention to your allies"

Playing a support role requires a LOT of paying attetion to your allies, if someone doesn't want to pay attention to their allies - because they are to busy sitting in the corner - maybe they should try a Blaster instead of a Defender?
  22. I like the Emp as is. No your not going to do gobbs of damage, or be able to solo very effectively, but if you want to do those things, then why would you play an Emp? I have one friend that wants to play an Emp/Kin. Some people REALLY WANT to play support toons. I enjoy it on occasion hence I have a couple Emp's in my pluthora of alts. True some power sets are more suitable to soloing, but most people choose to play those sets because they like them (either the solo friendly or not solo friendly) Just because a set can't tackle +4 mobs solo doesn't mean the set isn't working correctly. Defenders are designed for team play/support. Yes, they seriously lack personal fire power, but to me it's not always about personal fire power. (though I wouldn't mind seeing aborb pain switched with a debuff).
  23. The only other thing I have found that seems to work farily well is to open 5 or 6 trays prior to repsec'ing so that the game default will put all the powers someplace, then go through and weed them all out. With temp powers, alcolade, 6 versions of sprint, ect. ad nossium, it is still a bit of a task. Much easier to just lock them in place. (Figured all you guys with 80+ lvl 50's would kinda like this idea)
  24. I think being able to send more then 1 object via email - good idea.
I think the global vault - in addition to what we already have - good idea.

I would like to see some way to store recieps, but I tend to be a pack rat who at the same time (because of the nature of recieps) only slot toons that I want to play post lvl 50, most of which get moved to off servers or deleted to make room for more alts. So I end up with bins full of non stock IO's, and toons full of receips. Having a place to put 25 or 50, while I await random salvage to build them or deciding to step into the AE building for some grind ticket manufacturing would be a good thing, (it will allow me to not have to ticket grind for another 2 weeks or so). I am assuming there was some logic at some point behind not allowing people to store recieps. Probably the same logic behind not being able to store mass quanities of salvage. I also assume it has something to do with supply and demand even though I'm not a business major.

But if your gonna ask for more salvage space, why not ask for some space to store recieps.

    I think therefore I'm confused.
