A rocky start, but success nonetheless. Thanks for a great turnout and spirited effort in defeating the Hamidon once again. Hope everyone got the HO they wanted.
As always, thanks to the team leaders for your extra effort.
See you next week! -
Other than the Super Pack, do these now drop from regular content? Or Incarnate Trials?
Thanks for your answer. -
Thanks Guardian for a stellar turnout and a smoothly run Hami raid.
Special thanks to my guildmates, and the team leaders (Dark Emperor Magnus, Fire Addict, street stalker, Celtic Apparition, and Rigglilan).
Hopefully I will get some macro's made... typing it out by hand on-the-fly is rough lol.
Until next week. -
Statesman should definitely get a statue erected somewhere public in Paragon, and perhaps even a series of History plaques.
My thoughts were in IP near the boat he's standing (currently) on, in Atlas Park (but there's a lot of statues already there), or in a 'reclaimed' section on Boomtown (if that zone ever gets a redesign similar to Faultline).
As far as the 'marketing' of Statesman, sure - why not. Although it might be a little weird for newer players to realize they'll never interact with such an icon (save for some select Ouroboros arcs). I think that other heroes & villains should begin to get more marketing attention though; but, don't get rid of Statesman cold turkey.
Thanks for the fun story. Can't wait to see how it continues.
Quote:Excellent work. I wish there was a way to incorporate that into the SSA. Very touching. Letting my SG know to watch your video in tandem with the SSA to really get into the story.Originally Posted by Dark_Respite

Just chiming in here, echoing a few of the others.
I purchased the Rocket Board at full price because it looked cool. Completely detoggling sucked; but, it was still useful at lower levels to get around fast. Now with the Flying Carpet, we get the same exact thing, effects-wise, as the Rocket Board.
A separate skin would have been much preferred, at a discounted price. Or barring that, have the Market check your account to see if you already possess a Rocket Board and give the Carpet to you at a discount.
I really like the look of the Carpet, and I will purchase it. Just not now. Which is sad because I have many more magic-themed characters who would really look snazzy with it. Kudos to the team for developing it; but, I wish you could have thrown us Rocket Boarder's a bone.
Thanks for your time. -
Not to be directly included into my entry but just as a matter of fact, the event really did occur. Somehow, I managed to get Recluse stuck in the geometry on the STF my team and I were on. Funniest thing ever. The only thing fictional about it was my embellishment.

The Wardrobe Malfunction That Saved the World
My team and I had just finished taking down Lord Recluse’s Lieutenants and sending yet another Arachnos Flyer down in flames. Recluse emerged from his tower and gloated. Man, they always monologue. The fate of the world rested in our hands now. We had to confront the eight-legged Archvillain of Anarchy and defeat him, despite Dr. Aeon’s WEB device at full power!
The only tanker in my team, I swallowed that taste of bile that welled up. Staring down Lord Recluse was going to take all the steel I could muster. The encouraging words from Statesman helped; but, the big palooka was sidelined. “Axes America,” I muttered to myself, “you can do this. He’s just a bully in a bad costume. You gotta distract him long enough for your buds to dismantle those towers.”
I signaled to my team that I was ready. They all knew they’d have a quick trip to the hospital ship if I failed. I gave the nod, thumbed the igniter on my jet pack, and gave Recluse a fly-by.
“Nice helmet there, Recluse. It’s gonna look great above my fireplace in a moment!"
That got his attention, all right! He leapt at me with inhuman speed, but I calculated for this and veered back to his colossal statue. With a lot of luck, he missed me with a blast from his backpack arms. He tried to leap up an antenna at the corner of his statue, but I countered by flying away from him again. We played cat and mouse for what seemed like an eternity, but then the most startling thing occurred - he got stuck! The mighty Master of Evil got his backpack arms stuck in the corner of his very own statue! I could hear his rage and curses at me, but I just kept letting loose all those insults I learned as a young man in the Marines.
Without Lord Recluse to protect it, the WEB device was destroyed in short order. Inside that ridiculous armor of his, he had to be glowing red hot with rage. Some mastermind of evil he was. Maybe he should have considered some teleportation doohickey or something. I landed back onto the ground with my teammates to my rear. Recluse’s spider arms were still firmly wedged into the impervium-laced statue foundation. He couldn’t even reach around to swipe at us with his fleshy arms because the backpack was in his way. I ran the blade of my axe against the side of his helmet.
"A little off the top, Stefan?"
Hard radiation, martial arts kicks, gouts of fire, and laser beams belted the Count of Cruel. My trusty axe helped cleave into that armor of his nicely too.
"I will not be defeated in my hour of triumph," bellowed Recluse! Freems and clanks and crashes were our replies.
"This... Is... Impossible," gasped the humiliated supervillain before lapsing into unconsciousness.
"Next time, head to a costume shop and choose something less clunky to wear before you try to take over the world," I told him as I yanked off his helmet. His master plan foiled, the day was ours!
To this day, I still have that memento to remind me of my proudest day. And true to my word, it rests on my mantle. It makes a great conversation piece on my weekly poker night. -
I lost 650,000,000 and some large inspirations and some rare salvage, all used for my respecs.
Sent in a bug petition.
Hope it helps. -
Getting close to my anniversary date. Has there been any discussion of it will entail?
Thanks. -
To preface, I read the description of what was in the pack... no suprises there. No one forced a gun to my head to buy the pack.
I also like to purchase everything that my favorite hobby(ies) put out... my way of supporting them for future endeavors as well and to show my support in general. 75+ mo veteran here, so my loyalty isn't in question.
I purchased the pack, and while the emotes look nice (in fact, really splendid overall) it is a bit overpriced for what we get. Sure, it is great for a role-playing niche, or if you are one of the talented few who make movies of their characters.
I hope we aren't seeing a trend here:
Shadowy Presence - a real loser of a power
an emote only pack at pretty much the same price as a complete frills pack
...
Suggestions? Rerelease it with a few costume change emotes (disco ball or dancing lights from 'above'... wrestling grunt & arms flexing a la Hulk Hogan) and of course give them to those of us who bought the pack in the first place. Similarly, a few more costume choices like some really snazzy party gear (glow-in-the dark necklaces/items like a raver... using the tech from bioluminescent set, for example). Heck, even a badge that said how cool we were for buying the pack! Or, what about negating the teleport-suppression in Pocket D (since obviously, we LOVE to party down and wouldn't cause any grief).
Just my 2 inf, but I'm on the bandwagon with the others who say that it isn't worth it _as is_. I also hope we get a bit better quantity/quality with the future packs.
Thanks for reading this and accepting it as one person's opinion. -
Like the subject asks, how does one get a super inspiration from a drop? Random PvE drop? Have to defeat something special?
Thanks for your time and help. -
It's not the buffs from Secondary Mutation I am bugging... it is the costume change emote specifically for Dimension Shift.
The emote does not activate when I have any of the shield toggles on. My avatar does begin the animation sequence and I hear the Kheldian 'power noise', but it is most definitely not the standard emote for Dimension Shift. I tried it with all, none, and every combination of the shields active. The emote only played properly when I had none of the shields active.
Thanks again for looking into it. -
Also, Dimension Shift costume change emote did not work on my Peacebringer while I had any of my shields toggled on.
Thanks for looking into it. -
My thoughts on the matter:
1> I agree with some of the posters in asking for a map marker (or a nav bar marker) stating where Lord Winter (and his guardians) are. Either that, or make the timer longer in duration.
2> I only had time to try it once, and my team (and one other - total of 2 teams) failed. For those of us who did not read the posts before logging in, we had to broadcast in the zone to attack the Guardian when Lord Winter was phased. Not that we really would have had a chance to defeat the instance. At the timer expiration, we had LW down to about 30% life. The teams were PUGs, but the team mixes were balanced. We did not drop Warburg nukes nor did we summon Shivans. I was playing a WP/Axe tanker, so all the Northern Lights & LW pets really helped buff my +regen (at least, I think the NL did). However I can attest that there was a lot of other character defeats due to the insane amount of lights and pets.
3> I did do the Rescue Baby New Year mission in Pocket D. I had candy canes drop as salvage from Boss (?) lvl critters in the mission... four total in fact over all. I think that is a good addition.
Overall, a welcome (if minor) overall addition to the Winter Event. I think it needs to have a longer timer, and map (or nav) markers.
Thanks for the preview and your time. -
The proc from Theft of Essence states that it will give Endurance back to the target.
1. Is the target 'the caster' of, let's say, Transfusion?
2. How much of a 'hit' is it?
I checked on Test (for the pop-up updates), and wiki & Red Tomax, but the info wasn't there (or my search-fu failed).
Thanks for your wisdom. -
Are you supposed to get an end of mission bonus for completing a Dev's choice arc? I am currently running Johnny Sonata & the Hitmen on my 50 MA/SR and not getting any. I am getting recipes/salvage though per usual.
Thanks. -
Mother Mayhem has a map, and the same map is used in the Silver Mantis SF. It is the abandoned hospital map.
Can someone please give me the name for it (and which mapset gets it if it is one of the unlockables)?
Thanks a bunch, and happy writing. -
I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but I'd like to have my Day Job power(s) actual be able to be turned on (like a toggle) rather than just a timed 'auto' as soon as I log in. There are many times that the travel time to get to a mission seriously chews into the relatively short duration of these powers. In a role-playing sense, these 'added benefits' should either be there all the time period (obviosuly not viable in their current application/percentages) or there when the chatacter could USE them.
Perhaps placing the reward-increasing ones on a timer/trigger (for example, entering a mission starts the timer for the mission ender based ones and pressing the exit button stops it). Some would be on all the time (like Time Lord, Cimeroran, Pain Specialist, etc.), but others could realistically use this. And it could be tied to map-types. The game already knows to give you 1/2-debt on a mission map. Tie the timer trigger to that!
My 2 infamy. -
How does a villain earn the Annihilator badge? The PRIMA guide lists it as a prerequisite for the Marshall accolade.
Badge-Hunter.com does not even list the Accolade.
Thanks for your help. -
