  1. Pretty much what Rosen said.
Now, if only they'd add the damn Warshade powers to AE
  2. Theres something about girls and GBFG's (Great-Big-Fragging-Guns) that really works well, eh?
    Awesome pieces.
  3. /Signed. I'd love to see more done with the place. There are so many utterly wasted zones (yes, wasted) that, Praetoria excused, I'll be incredibly hacked off if I see anymore more new zones until some of the older ones get a much needed revamp. Stuff like the SS is screaming and begging for some actual content and people actually using it.
  4. Nightwalker is fairly sociable. Hell, if you work for him, (and dont try to double cross him) he can be postively warm and welcoming.
Cross him? Oh, you're in real trouble. Never cross a Nictus scientist with an agenda
But he's generous with his rewards for those who work for him. After all, it's only logical to give incentives that people will talk about, thus creating more oportunities for people to work for you.

    Just for Fun...

The low quality Praet star in the background lets it down.
Still, it looks really nice =] Keep 'em coming, GG.

    What? Where?
I must have missed those ones. Seriously, theres next to nothing different. Trapdoor? Spanked about with Bots/Traps, so much so that the hardest point was getting to him after because he fell in the lava
Honoree and Holtz? Holtz held me up long enough to make the Portal Rikti an actual problem, one not easily solved by tactics, other than...you guess it; Pull Honoree out, punch (shoot) until he falls over!

I really need to start hanging out on the MA forum more.
Heh, I had planned to do more of the starter origins one, but I ran into AE problems with Rick Davies one. Wish we had the tools the Devs have, would make life a lot easier...

Stack nothing. 20% for 2 minutes or less with its current recharge. That would at least make it less horrendously onourus.

Exactly. Shards are anything but grindy. Just mowing down normal missions, TFs and SFs at 50 drop pretty decent numbers of shards.
VG merit levels, though? Hell to the hell No! Those things drop about once in a damn blue moon...
  11. Fullmetal Alchemist?

The Elric Brothers, Edward and Alphonse. Ed is the titular Fullmetal Alchemist (although most people assume his little brother, the hulking suit of armour, is actually him Ed hates that) Due to an alchemical experiment gone wrong, where they attempted the one taboo of alchemy, the brothers are now searching for a way to give Ed back his right arm and left leg, and to get Al his real body back. But the odds they have to go up against seem endless, even with help from other alchemists and members of the Amestrian military...will the brothers ever find what they are looking for, and discover the truth behind the legendary Philosophers stone?

    And no one has mentioned this psycho why?;

Hellsing is definitely worth a shot, in my opinion. Fairly short, but well done and, really, theres something about a headcase like Alucard that always makes me smile
The Hellsing Organisation is the ultimate weapon of the British Crown when it comes to hunting the undeda and other freaks. The secret to their success? One of the most powerful living weapons in the known world; the rogue Vampire Alucard.
But have even Hellsing met their match when forced up against the last remnants of a long dead organisation, the mysterious and terrifying Millenium Group and their Last Battalion?
  12. Yeah, my pets have started vanishing again. Damn that bug...

    Also;

It's not dead or dying! I've just not quite made time that I should have!
I've also been practiscing digital sketching and, suffice to say, the final 6 may get a slight upgrade due to the wait

As kind of a side note / edit, getting players into canon-lore or events was one of the (unspoken long-term) goals of the AE system. Fearghas, for example, is now Dr. Aeon, largely because of his extensive work through Mission Architecture.

What the developers probably did not expect was the rise of A.E. Exploiters, and the flood of abusive cliques who work to up-rate stories of the clique's creation, and down-rate stories of other players. The very short-term effect has been that Mission Architecture, as a tool for Paragon Studios to filter out genuine content creation talent and then use that talent to produce officially published content, has largely been marginalized.
Sadly...I know that, for free, I'd re-design the low level blueside content that they seem insistent on leaving as a big, smouldering pile of fail. I even managed Azuria's arc which seems to have gone down well so far (shameless plug in signature)

  16. I only have the one 50 at the moment; Alpha, my global.
So, by the time I get the next of my way-too-many alts to 50, yeah, I think I'll be taking them Incarnate. Then it'll take ages to get the next one to 50 and...so on and so forth. So I won't get too burned out on it

Missions are not things that must be completed immediately. If I see something in a mission that I'm not prepared to handle, I back out, get set, THEN I come back and deal with it.
And I'm supposed to know he/she has that power how exactly?

(If anyone says I should have a power analyser or w/e I swear I am going to murder people...)

Still haven't been hit with this 'Curse' everyone's talking about. I'm beginning to think that it's mythical.

You are tired. Your endurance total has been reduced.
Thats -50 endurance. Not -50% recover; -50 Endurance from your actual Endurance bar.
All the people banging on about +recovery stuff; it doesnt matter. You still have 50 less endurance. Thats a huge ammount, for five minutes. Especailly on stuff like MMs, where recovering downed pets takes a crapton of end.

    Time Taken=!Difficulty

Would you say the SSTFs are 'harder' than any others? Or just, y'know...time consuming and mind numbingly dull?
Why do people treat time taken like a bad thing all the time?

That's not fun for a pretty much pointless ability. That curse ended up being the only thing I disliked about the arc.
If by one person you mean me, then no. Although the forced downtime as I reloaded my bots after downing Holtz, waited for the two-petbuffs-equals-end crash to end, re-toggled, waited for the curse to end...yeah, that resulted in the Room of a Hundred Rikti that I've been griping about.

I'm with Sam, the Curse is not a fun move. At least stuff like Malta and Carnies, while short term potentially lethal, do have coutners. The Curse? You either have the breaker, or your sat there waiting for 5 mins.
  22. Aside from the one annoying mission (Rikti portal spawn spam and the damn Curse of Weariness) Ramiels arc wasnt too hard. I'd have been in a better mood with it if 1)I'd had more sleep, 2)The first mission wasnt bugged for MM pets, in that you can ONLY buff them outside the mission, something I tend not to do out of habit and 3)The afore mentioned lucking out with the Rikti Portals.

Overall, though, it was well written and very much a fun play through. I'll be better prepped next time.
And I still want to do the new TFs, and I plan to.

He's told in the briefing that there's a rogue Vanguard operative in there. And to bring friends.

It's not a stretch to think "Hey, I don't know exactly what TYPE of Rogue Vanguard is in there, but it's supposed to be a tough one. Maybe I should grab blues/that curse breaker/etc."

Now, someone that's at 50 without having played the RWZ stuff? They'd have an excuse. It would be a completely new power being used on them.
Thank you for the patronising, from everyone.
Yes, I've played the RWZ content, on Alpha and other characters. Yes, I knew about the Curse already. However, I also knew from overhearing/reading about the Honoree cropping up in the new arcs. When I saw the 'Bring Friends' part, I automatically assumed, correctly, that it was the Honoree.
Holtz is an EB with powers from BOTH the VG Wizard and Colonel. I'm sorry I obviously don't have the amazing and impeccable foresight of people in this thread, but anyone claiming I "Should have known" is frankly talking BS. If Lady Grey had explicitly said 'Holtz is one of out top operatives, You should make sure to take some extra equipement to counter what he/she is capable of throwing at you." then I would only have myself to blame for not heeding the advice.

As it is, The Curse has no counter measure outside of the Cursebreaker (No, chomping blues does NOT work because 1) they are finite 2) I have pets to resummon, which takes a huge ammount of end which I no longer have) so, yes, its a cheap trick to pull in my opinion, especially with Holtz's already impressive arsenal and powers.
