Yes, I tried it -- the low accuracy requires slotting up for Accuracy in addition to the procs, and it still seems to miss a lot.

Certainly no problem with trying it out, and it will probably seem pretty cool at first. But as you use a proced-out Gale over time, you will probably find it less useful than you think.
Yeah, I wouldn't overslot it. As mentioned before 1 ACC and a FF proc should do you well. If you're doing your -KB lockdown for your Lightning Storms, Tornadoes and Hurricane; then I wouldn't worry too much about the KB from Gale.

It's an 80 degree cone with ST cost and recharge that you'll want to spam once you take Interface (or any other power affecting Incarnate slot that might come down the pipes).

[...and the -DEF provided by Freezing Rain and Tornado should help to offset Gale's lower base ACC..]

    Forgot to mention that bit.
  3. Don't forget that Gale also gets a damage boost from damage-based Interface slotting (IMO, save the slots you were planning for dmg procs for other powers; unless you just happen to have extra slots).

On my Fire/ and Plant/Storms I use an ACC IO and the FF proc; using Gale as a recharge mule assist for Tornado, Nimbus and Creeper stacking.

Definitely going to throw Grav Anchor's proc back into my AoE Immobs.

You might want to save the CS proc for Stare.

I don't know if slotting the Soulbound Allegiance proc would be more effective in Haunt or Umbra?

Achille's proc in Freezing Rain (and maybe Tornado) if you're looking to recoup any damage loss from not slotting so many other procs.

Contagion proc if you're planning to use Possess as a core power.
  4. There's a commercial for Franklin & Bash with a quick cut to two uniformed police officers walking towards camera. The lead officer was also Officer Carl on iCarly.

    Joe Rogan on 'News Radio'.
  5. I'm looking at rolling a /Fire Blaster; I really like the idea of having two damage auras and Burn.

What I'm kind of stumped on is getting a primary that lets me take advantage of it:

With AR; Ignite and Flamethrower looks pretty promising but much of the rest looks skippable. Full Auto looks great but seems to play against /Fire's melee slant.

BR looks solid for ST damage, Overcharge doesn't seem bad and I like the chance of it's chain damage (Disintegration Spread) and its -regen

Dark gives a little mitigation OTB and it has Tentacles to help with Burn and Hot Feet but I'm not too crazy about Nuke Crashing (even though 1k+ damage is nothing to scoff at)

Ice seems all about allowing /Fire's damage auras and Burn patches to be more effective (-SPD, 2 Holds) and then it has two patches of its own (again, I'm not too crazy about Nuke Crash but almost 2k worth of damage (assuming BU powers apply); I'd be insane not to use it.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  6. I noticed that the in-game Detailed Info, for Creepers, differs from the Mids info when it comes to the damage; with the DI giving a much higher number.

    Why the discrepancy?

Sounds almost like 'Lord of the Dance' but without the girl.
  9. Revisiting 'V' I forgot that Robert Englund and Michael Ironside were both in that.

E.T. in the Senate seats of one of the SW prequels (and I thought I saw the actor that played Willow in the stands of the pod-racing scene of Ep 1).

The quick-shot of the xeno-morph head in Predator 2.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's face in Terminator: Salvation.

Watching Helena Bonham pop up everywhere (ie. "Hey, wasn't she in Fight Club?")... if there's going to be a headcase female put into a script, I'm fully expecting her to be cast for the role.

(And that would be one mess of a crossover event!)
  11. Comics seem pretty good about having a niche for just about everybody; genre and rating-wise.

In addition to what was mentioned above, think of some books, movies or TV shows that you really liked and see if they're available in comic/graphic novel form.

Even items such as hobbies, historical events, biographies, etc may have a comic-styled companion hiding somewhere.

Finally, don't limit yourself to just comic books and novels; you may find strips or shorts to be more to your liking.
  12. I could see Lex Luthor. He's fairly detached and manipulative when it comes to his GFs (from what I've seen).

Now that would be a cool idea for an ATO proc.

Prior to The Avengers; only Downey had two 'Avenger' movies under his belt (and is slated for a third).

    Evans had one.

    Hemsworth had one.

Johansen had none and was an supporting cast member for Downey.

Ruffalo came in as a reboot (hence none of his own).

    Renner had none.

Even the Shield connection was more tightly wound and more personalized in the Downey series (probably the only reason that Coulson's death had the impact it did).

Outside of the Downey cult (as opposed to the cult of Iron Man); only the Hulk managed to position himself as a contender for a cult following. IMO.

Depending on the mob spread; Tornado could still lose some overall (and focused) damage due to its tendency to jump from target to target and lack of overlap (that Bonfire would have) from generic IO slotting.

However, against a tight knit group of enemies or a single target; Tornado should come out on top.

Freezing Rain is a good boost for your other stuff (then you slot the AH proc in). Tornado is solid (DoT crashless nuke); stack them up and make sure the critters are locked down. Interface is the new damage Proc (even Gale likes it).

Not too thrilled about my Nimbus (reminds me of a stationary Voltaic Sentinel) but stack-and-lock; you should be good. Or just use it as a KB bodyguard.

It can [still] be done but (for me) it took some LotG procs, IO sets (Hold and Recharge Pet), Hasten, FF Proc in Gale, Force of Nature. I think that Ageless ended up being overkill but I can't remember.

you mean like Will Smith and son?
Will's only done one "superhero" but he does have the monopoly on black action heroes, however, he does have the range to do much more that just that.

I can't call to mind a recent Ryan flick that didn't involve DC or Marvel.

    Deadpool
    Green Lantern
    That One Guy From Blade

possibly going to do Deadpool again, maybe a Flash movie

not that I'm knocking him or anything... maybe he's found his niche.

  21. I can't give The Avengers the same credit as Star Wars:

'The Avengers' has had more years of lead up (comics, toys, video games, tv shows, etc) than the initial release of Star Wars yet Star Wars was more expedient to create and maintain 'a followable philosophy'

It's also had a stronger theatrical build up. 'The Avengers' would be the release equivalent of Episode VI (if Star Wars were released in chronological order)

'The Avengers' & Co. would have to share any following that may develop[] with the cult of superheroes in general (competing with icons like Superman, Batman, The JLA, Spiderman, etc) while the Star Wars contingent only have themselves and the Trekkies to quarrel with

If it wasn't for Robert Downy slam-dunking the Iron Man roles, its very possible that The Avengers would've been approached more cautiously by production and movie goers alike. He was the series; everyone else was a one-shot... 'The Avengers' is the crossover that determines if those one-shots turn into series' of their own.

    IMO, of course.
  22. Both AoE and ST.

    Just the primaries.
  23. I know that Fire and Plant can lay down some serious damage but, pound-for-pound, which one comes out on top?

It seems that Plant pulls ahead in Pet damage and Carrion applies more control in its damage distribution than Bonfire but how does Hot Feet and Seeds equate in? Is Flashfire (proc'ed) even worth mentioning?

    What about other Primaries?
  24. I got a kick out of this thread. Thanks, it definitely made my morning.

[Makes me want to test the limits of my Plant/Dark Controller]
