Abso-frikken-lutely not. It's likely a badge and maybe a contact or something small like that, but to lock out an entire game system from a very large number of characters just because they choose to fall/redeem themselves? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. The developers are not stupid.

    New Computer

With ATI, Water effects interfere with Depth of Field (the greasy smear in the distance effect) and Bloom (bright bits get brighter effect). Or more correctly, DoF and Bloom interfere with Water effects.

    Relevant ATI thread:

  5. Yes. I used a bunch of Auto Assault cards on my secondary City account when the game was going down the tubes and stores were selling their time cards for like 75% off.
  6. Oops, yeah. 9800GT. Got it confused with the 9800GTX I was eyeballing before we got Ultra Mode specs. (Now I'm eyeballing some ATI cards.)
  7. Swift/Hurdle don't take sets anymore, that's probably what you're remembering.

Health does, though. As do all other Health-like powers in powersets.
  8. 9800 GTX was listed as the minimum requirements for Going Rogue. I would guess, you might be able to turn on some things, but it would probably tank your FPS.
  9. I don't care about that. I care about the wording they used, "a peek at the world of GR"... not "a peek at a 3D image of one of the characters in GR".
  10. Difference between your playground's BB courts and the game's "BB courts" (PvP zones) is that you explicitly agree to "play normal BB" (participate in PvP) when you step onto the game's "BB courts".
  11. Viewing the demo, it looks like a 3D image of Maelstrom. As you move the paper around, Maelstrom moves around on the website. It's certainly not "a peek at the world of GR", which I was excited about.

There's a pdf available to print out an image of the helm to use, if you don't have the PAX flyer. I don't have a webcam or I would try it myself.
  12. What does that say about "augmented reality target"?

Uh, yes you could. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to go from World map (using Base Teleport power) to the base and into Steel Canyon (via base teleport item).

Turn the door to Pocket D into a function similar to a base teleport item, and voila! Your worries are over.

However, this does mean there is an extra loading screen to use Pocket D as a travel hub.
  14. Due to Ninja Run, wacky things are afoot in Mids right now regarding inherents.

    A 3D Option?

They definitely didn't hand out the red/blue paper glasses for Avatar. It's filmed in a non-compatible format IIRC, polarized 3D is different than "old school" 3D. The glasses for Avatar should have looked like slightly oversized sunglasses, that's what I got.

That is your personal spending limit - it's set in the Master Account. Billing, IIRC.

Respec recipes are for sale pretty much all the time on the market. You can use your infamy/etc to pay for them.
  19. It's a clique. These things happen in large groups of people with at least one similar interest. It will eventually fade to obscurity as people lose interest. These things also happen.
  20. Turn off PVP flag. It's a button at the top right.

  21. I looooove the R'lyehian text at the bottom. I had to take another look at the figures after I saw that.
  22. The 3d glasses thingy I played with at PAX last year, the representative dude that was there said it will work with basically any game. There will be some games where there has been optimization for it (either by nVidia or by the game itself) (one example was WoW, which was what was running when we were playing with it), but basically every game works to some degree.

Um, no it doesn't? There are very, very few things in this game that REQUIRE interaction between players to accomplish goals. These are things like multi-glowie clicks, raids, and stuff like that. They are few and far between. Everything else in the game, even AVs and GMs, can be solo'd. The devs have specifically implemented changes so that solo players can solo easier. This flies in the face of your claim that player interaction is 'required'.

Seemingly like those who head into a PVP zone without the intent of engaging in player versus player combat.
Intent has nothing to do with it. By staying in the zone past the countdown, you agree to be a target, whether you intend to PVP or not.
