So if you want Weave you are still picking Kick, or Boxing.
-
I posted this as a recommendation as well and I just got done playing mine because I needed to street sweep it to finish off getting to 32. I'll just say this. I have yet to have a bad time on the build. Rare because I always seem to find something about a build that bugs me. Numerous times I'm giggling like a school girl. Does it need better ST damage? Sure. I just simply don't care. Two damage auras, 6 AoEs total outside of Epics/Patrons, the ability to run 6 toggles on SOs, and a little bit of recharge just for kicks. Yes, please. Giving that build Reactive is all sorts of wrong in the best possible way.

A very quick and dirty version.
EDIT: Hover should have Fly in it.

I'm not saying they didn't copy a build, but to say those two builds are "exactly" the same and yet they differ in slotting in the very first power is a pretty bad misstep on your part.

For a super lazy team, I would go /thermal and /cold. You can cap resist and def so the heals will be hardly needed so that cuts down on the issue of being busy. Your ability to place the AoE -res powers is freed up as well since it's not anchored on a player, or players. Sonic and Fire for primaries.
-
-
You really want to compare Mind control to Fire in terms of control and poorly at that? How about making better comparisons like Total Dom versus Cinders, or TK versus Bonfire, Mass Hyp versus Flash? Mind control isn't overrated. It's just a set that you can't simply go up to a mob, disorient it, and go from there. You actually have to think about what you are doing and how you can use the numerous tools in the best manner for the current situation, ie figuring out how to use Mass Hyp in an effective way on a team even after combat has started versus simply saying it's only useful when solo.
-
One thing to note that even if PBs are one the weaker side, they offer more versatility within the build than a blaster does due to the 3 forms. Blasters get their versatility via the different styles of blasters you can roll. A Fire/fire, Sonic/elec, and Ice/ice will all three play different.

In case nobody has brought it up, one thing to do with Invul is to get perma DP which means they are always cranking out a high amount of regen. Unless my memory is foggy, Invul builds have done solo MoITFs. Once you do that, the question of a set's durability goes out the window.
-
I went and grabbed my level 7 SS/elec brute that was flying through content. I got LF and put diff on x2. I finally got to the zombies and that's when the faceplanting started. They stun often enough to cause issues. I grab inspirs and tried to take on as much +0 mobs as possible. Eventually I level and it made it easier, but it's a mob that can easily slow you down when you first met them. Once I get mezz protection, things will be a lot easier.
-
Kat/wp might just replace SS/wp as the Brutes for Dummies go to build since you don't have to deal with the Rage crash. I have a lightly played Kat/wp that I'm holding off on leveling just because I can't reason why the scrapper version would be better considering /wp is much better on a brute.
-
Quote:Key part is you did this solo and on base difficulty. Now, try it on a 8 person team where the melee ATs have little ways to counter the mass ranged energy attacks that come after them. I have seen numerous teams get to the bottom of the stairs where the tracks are at on the map and the initial group simply mows the team down. Add in things like lower level characters so they are fighting +1/+2 versus +0/+1. The zombie bosses with their two handed attacks have dropped somewhere around 3/4 of my health bar in one hit if the boss was purple to me. And yes, I was on a brute at the time.I've seen people say this a lot, and I'm still wrapping my head around it. I've run 2 characters through Praetorian content now, and just never run into the kind of travails people seem to be encountering. Both times I ran mostly solo, and on base difficulty. Both times, I only encountered 1-2 missions that were at all problematic, and most of my difficulties were solved by getting a full load of Inspires and giving my full attention.
Nothing even approaching the difficulty inherent in "Hunt 10 CoT in Perez Park" or the Atta mission, or getting across the Hollows in the old days. Praetoria was a breeze.
EDIT: I soloed a stalker through there without a death. I even bumped diff up to x2 just to help with leveling speed towards the end. I have a couple doms going through there that have yet to die as well. -
-
Still no love for Synapse. This would be all the more funny if it was a SF instead.
-
My guess is they do those since there is a reward that people find useful. I also understand getting to 20 isn't a huge requirement and all the more so with the speed of getting through Praet., but it would be nice for Virgil Tarikoss and Synapse to be added since they are part of an accolade. Of the months we have had the WTF, two of them were nothing but Incarnate related WTFs. I soloed a lot during those months.
-
If a TF doesn't deal with trial type rewards, it's on a low rotation by default. Only Sutter/Kal seem to be exceptions and those are new. Some others get love, but this is far from a well done rotation. Virgil Tarikoss and Synapse have yet to be done despite numerous TFs being done 2-3 times, but those are tied to Incarnate rewards. Why is it hard to do lower level teams? The WTF is vastly built for Incarnates so people just keep playing their level 50s. I really wished they had a WTF for end game and WTF for non-end game.

Quote:For soloing you want something that can do enough damage so Ill more than works for that. Sometime in the 30s I went to Crey's and started to street sweep even con mobs that had multiple bosses in them. This is before i19 and without Stamina. I'm not sure if I had anything better than common level 25 IOs as well.OK, here's a question. I'm thinking about a /emp as well. I know I'll probably be soloing more than a bit of the time (due to the sporadic nature of my play time sometimes). Would you still recommend Illusion over something a bit more... err... visceral?
One not listed that would work would be Plant. While Plant benefits from a secondary that debuffs, it's still a good match for /emp.
I like Mind from the list of what the OP was looking at. I like Ill better, but it wasn't listed. Ice and Elec are best played at melee which can be an issue for an /emp. Mind can be played at range. The biggest knock against Mind/emp at one point was trying to figure out how to put in all of the powers you would want, but then came inherit Fitness. -
Would be nice to see a lower level SF/TF the week of 2x exp. Having something like Khan be the WTF seems kind of wasted.
-
How do you generate the costume codes, or whatever they are called, and how would one use them?
