  1. Also, note the little disclaimer on the popup explicitly saying it doesn't take Alpha slotting into account, showing only slotted enhanced values.
    Methinks Leandro needs some new glasses
  2. I think they should just use the current Mids setup as a basis for Repseccing. The current setup is long, laborious and dull, dull, dull.
  3. Meh, making morality mission bosses EBs or even worse AVs would just take away from the fun of them. As customised bosses they already tend to be better equipped to tackle players than standard mob bosses, and theres nearly always something else besides just 'Beat down EndBoss#1'. Ambushes, surprise revivals, buildings exploding...adding in EBs would be just like adding in Valkyrie's MoG; long, boring and fun-spoiling.
  4. /Signed. Im kinda surprised no one thought of this one before, actually
  5. HAHA! Oh wow, modded again? They really don't want us seeing that, do they?
    Marketting's Iron Fisted Empire...gotta love it.
  6. New tail, new head. The in-game Minotaurs are much more beasty looking, and all one-piece models.
  7. I love Winterlords 'expression'
  8. Alpha requests that MMs are allowed slightly larger maps in future
  9. It better be...bored of waiting now...

    It's the exact same angle. Just the entire helmet is sat wrong, so it looks different.

    However, constant ambushes from behind while I was blasting have killed my blaster, dominator and troller in seconds.

    thats why I think there should be a simple archetype with armor and ranged.
    Wish granted. It's called Kheldians and VEATs.

    And no, no ammount of shiny will stop you dying if your not paying attention to ambushes or stuff that spawns after triggers. New ATs will not stop you being a bad player.

  12. No.
    It's fine the way it is. Tying it into 'stats' in anyway will just result in even more elitism and 'cliqueism' that exists already in existence for certain ATs, however wrong that perception may be. Stalkers for example.

    If this were to happen than people would be doing daft crap like "STF lf stone tanker MUST BE MUTANT!" and other guff.
    And you know they would.

    So no, thanks. It's fine as is.

    The late game has you do things that ARE NOT within the capabilities of just a highly trained normal person. Not without disregarding the bulk of the visuals. And, yes, the Kronos Titan is a large part of that, as is Hequat. When you take an Explosive Missile Swarm to the face, shrug that off and proceed to beat down a machine roughly the size of the Atlas statue by punching it with your fists repeatedly, you've given up all pretence of normalcy. I used to have "natural human" characters once upon a time. I got rid of them all when I saw what they were supposed to be doing later in the game.
    See, thats a game engine limit, not a real imaginative limit.

    I, for instance, can see Batman (for example) taking out a Kronos Titan one on one. If he can keep dodging the thing, scramble it's trackers, get it to shoot the wrong way, stuff like that. That is what Defence pretty much does. Now, if he gets hit by it he's still street pancake.
    Now, a Kronos Titan is a big walking tank. It also has a lot of weaknesses that can be exploited. Uncovered joints, exhaust ports, even weapon barrels. It can't do squat against anything that got up on it's back.

    All it takes is a little imagination to get around the slightly rigid game movements and mechanics that are purely a technical limitation.
  14. I'm good with how it is, thanks

And I always get the salvage sack. Plus there's the Costume Change Emote and HVAS for those characters that want them. That's not really what I'd call "easy". And getting them without raiding is even less "easy".

    And if my character concept calls for one of the pieces at character creation? Too bad, come back when you're 35.

    And while we're on the subject, how many Merits do I have to turn in for the Vanguard Mini?

    Really, what you're doing is the same as the kid who opens their Christmas present and breaks it beacuse it's not what they wanted. do you consider that acceptable behavior?

    If you really don't want the Vanguard Pack, cancel your billing, and don't resub until the day after your account expires. Problem solved.

    ...That's an awesome character idea.
  18. Oh I wasn't considering quitting with him I was just wondering if fights would be at the level of the highest combatant or the nearest level bracket. Either way should be ok (*gulps, crosses fingers and prays for mercy*) so, yeah...let the fights begin!
  19. Direct Comparison;

    The female PPD helmet is sitting correctly. The male one, on both PCs and NPCs, is sat far too high and forward, making it look incredibly 'derpy' as it were. Both models are using completely default settings.

    PPD Helmet Error

    I'm pretty sure I can't be the only one who think this looks wrong/wierd;

    Direct comparison of the PPD helmets on female and male default models.
    The male helmet is sat way too far up and forward, making it look incredibly awkward and, how to put it...derpy.
    It looks daft. How come it's still stuck this way?
  21. *le bump*
    To make sure this doesn't dissapear off the front
  22. Alpha's would be his carbine and the various upgrades he's installed recently into himself and Tau Team.

    Oh, and Reason. Sweet Reason;

    I loathe those two task forces with every fibre of my being - and it's not because I can't complete it, I have - but because of how picky and exclusive and negative it 'encourages' the community to be in its design. a) Look for tank to start. b) Lather on the buffer/debuffers. c) Stare at powersets and pick and choose. Not to mention, grind and prepare for a few hours outside of TF time for nukes, shivans, HVASes and other stuff just in case the team can't do it by themselves. Every time I think about doing one of those TFs, I think meh, I rather do an Apex or Tin Mage and I much rather log off. Because I'm not having fun even thinking about preparing to do them, let alone doing them.
    Your unfortunate enough to team with some really bad players, then.

    My first ever succesful LRSF run was this week. I'd run it once before and we lost because two members dropped out, and we aggroed the whole Phalanx and faceplanted. By the time we got back, Numina had turned even Manticore into an unstoppable juggernaught.

    The first run we pulled as best we could, but ended up with about 5 of the Phalanx coming running, Including States. We didnt use nukes, or shivans.
    We won.

    The next run? Well, it consisted of whatever our SG and friends threw together (sure, all at 50 and mostly Alpha slotted), ran through to the last mission, stood around, buffed up and then...Well 'tactics' ammounted to run in screaming and crash into the Phalanx like a de-railed and angry freight train.
    We won.

    Next run? PuG off Sals Badgehunters channel on Union. Again? Tactics were the same, albeit with one Shivan by someone. And we won again.

    All this BS about nukes and shivans being needed is the result of this bloody speedrun mentality people have picked up somewhere from the gutter. Pick a team of friends and some randoms if you need numbers, make sure peeps know how to coordinate, and then go kick some righteous donkey!
    Believe me, when you win it makes it all worth it. I now have no qualms about running something I previously hated with a passion, evidence enough being the tree times a week run.
