Quote:^ This sums it up nicely.The only way I would even consider supporting any idea that expands the Origin system beyond what it is now would require the Devs to come up with some way to do an "origin respec" that would be relatively trivial/cheap/easy for a character to do. I don't want my main characters, some of which are almost 7 years old, to suddenly find that their choice of Origin wasn't the "best" choice for them.

The main reason the Devs have favored the long lasting policy of minimizing the effects of Origins is because they wanted the idea of Origin to be a purely RP decision for a character and not have it based on "which Origin gives the best in-game bonuses". This is exactly the same reason why there are no costume items in this game that give in-game buffs. If there was a cape out there that gave (for example) like a +1% DEF bonus pretty much EVERYONE would end up using that item for their costume. The Devs didn't want want there to be a "best" Origin in the game for the same reason. *shrugs* -

Yeah, two reasons against; Patrol XP and DXP weekends.
T'be honest, I think the stuff we can already purchase is good enough for micro's as it is. -
/Signed. Also, t'be quite honest, it's actually more fun. I never really understood the...hmm 'powergamer', for want of a better word, mentality before.
Then we ran a LGT where we ended up cranking it up to +4. And a +3 ITF. It was fun as hell! Nothing, bar nothing, makes you feel more like an actual, honest to god Incarnate than blowing the doors off a mission map and going "Hey guuuuyss! Guess who's heeeeere?!" before promptly tearing the place to shreds.
I still need to run an Apex and Tinmage TF though, heh -
Been using that for a few updates now. It's just rather annoying having to flick it back and forth, because it hides the other important numbers like mez duration and suchnot, a real pain on attacks with both and more numbers, such as Gravity Well etc. And you have to flick it back and forth between things like defensive toggles and attacks.

Quote:Pretty much the same here. Already have a few concepts and Mids builds ready for potential use when it goes liveI'm glad I got to see the Minotaur before it was removed. Since that more or less means that was the real deal, these pieces are going to look *amazing.* Hoping it goes on sale soon. Like, yesterday.

OOC: Should be ready sometime during the week or this weekend to do a Gauntlet run, and whatever other fights Al needs to do in their qualifier =]
IC:
Reviewing the footage, Alpha would issue a statement bluntly calling out Bathory that;
"If she thinks she can hide, Tau Team will hunt her down and grind her down to the arrogant dust-mite she really is. See you in hell, Bat W****, if I don't see you in the Semi's!"

Quote:It's referred to as a science more. Ed often lists materials and such, including a few times the chemical makeup of a human body. It does fudge the border a little I admit. I think, though, that it would fall more under science in that world/universe/setting. Science is something one can study, use tested formulae and achieve the same results. The Transmutation circles are the foci that taps into the alchemical ability prevelant in that setting...I'm glad you brought up Full Metal Alchemist, though going off the wiki, I have to admit what they do looks more like magic than science, what with the trapping of souls and all.
Do they usually call it a science in the cartoons? (I think at least I can cross technology off the list of possibilities at this point.)

I think? I've not finished all the manga yet, and even then it's quite hard to explain, heh.
Go with whichever you think fits better, t'be honest. -

That was pure, A-grade Fantastic, Michelle. I...think I'm lost for words, t'be honest.

Quote:Good on ya, mate! Sounded like a bunch of utter jerks anyway.I got invited onto a STF team with my WP/SS tanker
After the leader accepted the TF, they told me that there was no way my tank could survive the TF, but they'd allow the team to vote on whether I'd be kicked or not. Quit as fast as I could
After quitting the TF, I sent the leader a tell to let them know the tank already had the Saved the World badge. Had obviously survived the TF. And that it was their damned loss
Elitism is an ugly thing -
Quote:Yeeeesssss! >=DMore often than not I'll take an MM due to both the obscene amount of firepower they can kick out (Thugs/Poison, Thugs/Traps and Thugs/Dark or Bots/Poison, Bots/Traps and Bots/Dark can solo an AV one on one with only a little IO usage) along with the debuffs/buffs they bring.
Reminds me, wouldn't mind doing an All Mastermind LRSF/STF.
*Imagines States and crew getting dragged down by the robotic hordes*
Mwu ha ha ha! -
Ugh....just what I'd expect of Bay (He has his name as a web address? Really?!)
Explosions, 'Cool shite!' and...yeah...I bet the plot makes as much sense as...well, I run outta comparisons.
It's nice to see more Transformers, at least. But I note that the penchant for killing most off as soon as they appear is also back.
That works....ONLY if you give the main characters some depth (see War for Cybertron)
Still...I might be wrong. Stranger things have happened. -
You did indeed;

When I end up mixing tech/science/magic I tend to go for Science. It's the safer mix of them.
Also; SCIENCE!!
And Alchemy;

Sure, but two insults don't make a right, either

Because part of the alpha slot ignores ED and enhancements dont, it might be useful to know how much is going to get by and how much isn't? *shrug*

VEATs and HEATs still suffer from the damage bar on the left falling off the bottom of the screen even when it's maximised, due to the extra powers in their lists.

Christ alive, you two, either take it to PMs or get a room. Your as bad as each other.
