And no one will get sued over this. All are under the Disney roof.
So... more! -
You know, the air horn prank is just a variation of the suddenly screaming at folks to get them to jump.
Why is one considered funny and the other considered sociopathic? -
Devs have said that period zones are not likely to happen. At least not for just a few arcs. It would have to be big... like Cimerora big. The design of a 1950s zone, e.g., would be as much work as any brand new zone. So, unless you want to see two issues dealing with time travel to just one specific period, ain't gonna happen.

I don't believe in e-books.
In fact, I print out the forums to read them. -
Yay! You're the last uninfected living human. Now, go repopulate the wor... oh.. wait.

Read the Patch Notes on Test. It's fixed there and will be Live within a week.

Quote:Right. They're a step. Before you take out Hami, you have to take out Pylons and Greens (to overcome heals) and Blues and Yellows (which will eventually destroy you if you don't take them out while trying to kill Hami).from testing, the pylons do not buff hami's stats
the pylons however, dont do absolutely nothing, they actually make the hami core untouchable until they are all taken down
And to take out Pylons, you have to take out Rikti.
So, you peel the thing like an onion: Rikti, Pylons, Yelllows, Blues, Greens, Hami.
Or, you pull the Rikti into the goo as cover to destroy the Mitos without Mito agro and you get all the Rikit killed at the same time. Then destroy Pylons uncontested, then Hami. -

I hear you only get to play Masterminds whose minions' only power is to say, "What is it, Doctor?!"

Quote:Well, Ninja Run and Beast Run are analogues of each other and start at the same level. That would be nice, but then people would be asking that Ninja and Beast Run be changed to available at Level 1, too. Not that I'd mind that change.

Jump Pack and Steam Jump are analogues of each other but don't start at the same level.
I'm guessing someone in Powers, in order to determine when Steam Jump should be available looked at the Runs to make them 'the same' when, in fact, they should have looked at the Jump. They allow me to put empty space
at the bottom of the post for a clean margin.
Also, three little i's go unnoticed
and it's a way to avoid the ALL CAP filter, too. -
Quote:No, that's not a bug, it's a feature because you don't lose any jump time. When you turn one on while the other is already on, it simple adds thirty seconds to the duration of the first one. See here.Bug: New jump power is not mutually exclusive with the Good vs. Evil jump jet power. Even though they function the same.
In other cases when 2 powers work the same they can't be used at the same time (Beast run/Ninja run.) -
Quote:Yes, indeed. And it seems... I have to test some more... if you use both at the same time, they stack in duration... one of them will last for 60 seconds.
Turning one of these jump powers on (GvE Jump Pack or Steam Jump) while the other is already on will simply add 30 seconds to the duration of the one you turned on first.
I consider that an excellent feature, not a bug.
If you have both you can hit GvE and then Steam Jump. Then one minute after GvE was turned on and is expiring, Steam Jump is ready to add another 30 seconds.
Excellent. -

If one were to compare the average damage of broken rain with procs going off continuously and the average damage of broken rain with procs going off only once against one target, I'm pretty sure the latter is closer to the amount of average damage it should be doing when finally fixed.

Faces 7 / 16
Faces Classic / Victorian

Faces from Cov / Issue 6 (and some older low-rez faces for comparison)

iii -
While it's nice to have new faces, I really don't see the new tech (normal map texture) adding that much.
In the next post I have pics of the new and old faces (so as to not break the formatting of this post).
First row is Faces 7 and 16. Second row is Classic Steampunk and Victorian Steampunk. Following them are the hi-rez faces of NPCs introduced in City of Villains (Issue 6) and recently used again in Praetorian factions.
When I heard we were getting the better textured faces, I thought it would be the CoV NPC versions or something similar, especially since Noble Savage asked me about them when I posted them to one of the art threads.
But instead, we got more of the same. You can see that a little bit around the eyes and ears are sharper, which unfortunately highlights how low-polygon the ears are. But that's about it. The faces look more like real mannequins than real people. They have sharper and washed out highlights and more of a sheen to them... which isn't natural looking.
Rather than have more detail of the skin like freckles or five o'clock shadow, they appear to be more made-up like runway models.
The other critique I have is that the faces seem to be much more modern than Steampunk. The way the eyebrows go to a point at the edges is more typical of a manicured modern metrosexual than the bushy eyebrows normally associated with Victorian times. Instead, the faces of the Luddites pictured below would be *perfect* for Victorian faces.
So, overall, while nice to have more faces... I still want the hi-rez textures of the Issue 6 NPCs. -
Stats:
Steam Jump and the GvE have these same stats:
- lasts for thirty seconds
- +175.00% strength to fly speed on self, unresistable
- +1800.00% jump height on self, unresistable
They differ:
- Steam Jump recharges in 30 seconds while the GvE JumpPack recharges in 2 min 30 seconds.
- Steam Jump is available from Level 4 onward, while the GvE JumpPack is available from Level 1+
And it seems... I have to test some more... if you use both at the same time, they stack in duration... one of them will last for 60 seconds.
Stacking them does not stack jump or fly speeds, though. But it will max out jump height.
If you have both, you can go: SteamJump > GvEJump > SteamJump for a full 90 seconds of the jump boost.
Hasten alone will have SteamJump back up in 20 seconds.
Suggestion:
Make Steam Jump available from Level 1 like the GvE JumpPack is.

Wings Suggestion:
Have the wind-up key twirl when wings are flapping. After all, the wind-up key in the Clockwork twirl.
Backpack Suggestions:
1. There are two bits of the backpack which aren't tintable. A brass section of the smokestack and a silvery section of the horizontal exhaust. Please make them tintable.
2. The backpack is called 'hammered brass' and has tarnish and grime on it. However, there is also an UM reflective surface on it which seems out of place. I suggest as the easy fix to remove the reflective surface. As the pie in the sky wish, I suggest two packs: One a very clean high-polished brass version, and the other the grimy matte hammered brass. -
Problem:
The oil spillage is a bit much coming from what looks like one's crotch. It looks more like biological effluence than leaking oil. So, imagine it tinted brown and characters such as these:
Full Metal Diaper
A Steaming Punk
Lady Di Areeyah
Montezuma's Revenger
Well, I could go on.
Suggestion:
Lessen the amount that spills and to make the hips and elbows the emanation points for the oil drips.
