Quote:Use the Tier 9 Mecha Armor stuff on a Huge character. Bam.We need big armor. And now that we have BioArmor I'm hoping we get Mecha Armor at some point.
Honestly we're oversatured with tech pieces at this point and need to focus on some other things we're sorely lacking in for awhile. Golden Age, basic tights patterns, Tribal, Egyptian, Aquatic-themed, etc. -

Quote:This. I've never had a problem dodging his, or anyone else's, special attacks. They give you a pretty big warning, and then usually three to five seconds later the attack triggers.I just want to point out that I've actually never been hit by Marauder's special attack even though I don't run travel powers during that point of the trial. (I have a bind to quickly turn it on and off when he hops around.)
Sssoooooo it's certainly fast enough to get out of range of at least his special attack. You just have to be paying attention. -
Where was this actually stated in game? Please find me a direct quote that says that the Rikti destroyed their own Well to defeat the Battalion.
-
The Rikti didn't lose their gods or magic because they defeated the Battalion. The Rikti defeated the Battalion because they didn't believe in gods or magic in the first place. They didn't have that as a potential weakness, and relied on their superior science and technology to get the job done once they were invaded.

Quote:As long as they're done like the Seed or Flier, that's cool. But Caleb is a flying monster as well, and he has a habit of flying wherever he likes, including so high in the sky he can't go any higher. I don't want any more of that, and wish Caleb would get fixed one of these days.Particularly sea monsters. I mean, it's a chain of islands, right? So sea monsters make sense.
Also, more flying monsters. I think the only ones we have are the Arachnos Flyer (which technically isn't a 'monster.') and the Seed of Hamidon.
Quote:Ooh... (non-targetable helpful, or maybe yellow reticle neutral?) Paragon Protectors pre-30s patrols(flying or not), so they don't come out of nowhere and would lend some credence to Crey appearing to be not evil.
Doubt it'll ever happen, though. I can't remember the last time Crey was relevant. -
Couldn't even read the whole thing. The writer just seemed like a snob, to me.

Quote:No thanks. I'd rather fight some legit supervillains than make this into a war between heaven and hell, or heaven and aliens, or heaven and whatever else. But if they ARE the battalion, that'd be great. We've fought enough demons, bring on the angels.
There are, but I don't have the links on me. The devs have posted three so far, this being the third, on their Facebook and Twitter accounts. One featured alternate color for Superspeed and Hasten on a character wearing Bodysuit, and the second had Marauder, Prae Aurora, and Pendragon chillin' in AP. -
Infinity looks like it's missing, too.

Why start a new topic when you could just post it in that discussion?
Also Hit Streak just said it was a mistake and they'll make an updated schedule with Protector. -
Quote:You do know GBE wasn't saying he expects them to fix everything, right? It's not going to. Bases are for the most part broken and there are other things out there that probably aren't getting looked at like fixing the numerous spelling errors in this game. I think that the dev.'s are trying to fix what problems they can and fix which problems may be most visible. I believe this issue is thinking of the future of this game more than anything.
Look, the economy's crap, M.M.O.'s all across the board are losing players simply because the main demographic for them has grown up, and the dev.'s know that a nearly ten year old game can only last for so long. They're probably putting through as many fixes they can this issue so it can last much longer on life support than it normally would. I applaud them for this issue and for doing what they can to polish off as many systems in the game as they can before they eventually have to downsize in the coming years.
They're giving us most of the fixes and customization options that we've been requesting for years in the coming issue. Good on them for pulling through. In my opinion, it's probably one of the best issues they'll be coming out with in some time. -

If I had to guess, we're delving into the mind of someone close to Mother Mayhem, as those statues in the background are of her and the clock tower is from her hospital. It may be Praetorian Yin. She was used by Mother Mayhem, there's a floating mask of Vanessa Devore in the background, and there's that giant Y on that corporate building, which might be references to both her parents.
With this pic and the one with the three Praetors, we're probably gonna get an incarnate arc where we wipe out the remaining leftover bits of Cole's regime to ensure it doesn't spring back to life, while allying with and possibly providing refuge to our Praetorian allies. -
Quote:I don't think the devs ever gave an actual set date on if/when Liberty would be moved. I just remember them saying it wouldn't be I23, due to reworking all the missions that send you to her. Feel free to cite a source, though, I'd honestly like to see the statement.Actually, I24 has always been when Ms Liberty was supposed to move. The reason she wasn't taken out when she took over the STF in I23 is because there are several missions that point to Ms Liberty. The devs didn't want to mess up anything so she took over the STF instead of Brawler while remaining the forefront Atlas trainer. but we were told they'd be switching it up in I24, which is why it wouldn't be out of the question if the 3 praetorians end up taking her spot.
Also, do you legit believe three insignificant Praetorians that have next to nothing to do with Paragon City, or even Primal Earth, would even be considered as an option to replace Ms. Liberty as the first face people see when creating a new character? -

Quote:I remember a number of those "Revamp NPCs" threads, too. And people posted some legit good designs that the devs said they'd consider.I second this. I know last year or so I jokingly put up the "Revamp Civvies" thread - but seriously - they need a facelift.
They need to consider faster, 'cause right now it's at a rate of one NPC update per issue -

Quote:I so wish they'd go through and do this for old important arcs. Set up a disclaimer before hand stating where in the CoH timeline this mission takes/took place. They could expand on the way Belladonna's arc has a bot at the start telling us that it take splace after the events in DA and the DD Trial - like they could add a bit at the start of the LGTF and the RWZ arcs saying that they took place during the 2nd Rikti invasion.

Quote:It's cool you have a mohawk IRL. It's also cool we've always had mohawks available in the costume creator.*reads post*
*looks in mirror*
*realizes hair is also purple, which is another thing that actual human beings don't have or would never use*
*accepts status of not being an actual legitimate human being*
Also, 10k cheers for Dink! The new cornrows are funky as all git out, the welding mask is boss, and the tool belt and golf bag just got much better!
*reads Xzero45's post again*
It's not cool we have more styles of mohawk available than any other hairstyle. I'm pretty sure we have about six or seven different variations of the mohawk, and that number's only going up. Whereas there are a large number of other common hairstyles that the costume creator barely even touches on once. And there's no way Shark or Doofus could be even be considered normal, or even uncommon, hairstyles. How those got greenlit for creation I have no idea.
You already have your mohawks and then some. I'm not asking for them to be taken away. I'm asking for attention to be spent elsewhere for a change.
Also you misread my post. I said Doofus and Shark were hairstyles no one ever uses. Mohawks was separated from them by a comma 'cause it was the other thing that I mentioned was in over abundance in the costume creator. It was not lumped together with the others as unnatural hairstyles. -
That hairstyle alone interests me in this pack. Bonus points for taking player suggestions with the welder mask and implementing that.
But honestly, Dink, thank you for giving us legit, normal hairstyles that actual human beings have. Please keep busting out more of those, because right now a majority of our hairstyles are things no one would ever use, like Shark and Doofus, and mohawks. -
If this is just, like, one Incarnate arc that touches on the fate of the Praetorians, like the Emperor's Sword, that'll be awesome. But please please don't let them ruin any Primal zone with even more Prae nonsense. Especially if it'll be one of the zones the devs said they have their eyes on, Kings Row and IP. We do not need more Praetoria.
-
Quote:It doesn't matter who you think is cooler, though. This is Primal Earth, not Praetoria. We need to focus more on our down home characters instead of putting focus on characters that really have no part in our dimension and, in Marauder's case at least, have been our sworn enemies for two years./disagree.
Some of the Praetorians are just plain cooler. I'll take Marauder over Back Alley Brawler any day.
And they did say they had bigger plans for Back Alley brawler since he isn't going to handle the STF.
I'm hoping it's just a hype picture, but with talk of revamping zones, I'm suspicious that Praetoria will find a way to leak into even more Primal zones.
