  1. Yes. Emailing items can ONLY be done @global->@global. Even if that global is your own.

Additionally, it can only be hero->hero and villain->villain, you cannot email hero->villain or vice-versa.

  4. Should have said that in the first place, then. Steel Canyon or Skyway City. I would wait until you're level 10 (or higher) before heading to one of them. They go up to 20ish. Faultline also exists for level 15ish to 25. Talos/Independence Port at 20ish to (30? 35?).

    1. Consult your contacts.
    2. Consult the wiki (search "Temporary Powers" and "Safeguard Mission"/"Mayhem Mission", for example)
    3. Join server-specific global channels. To find these channels, go look in your server's subforum. If they don't have a thread, create a thread to ask.
    4. As soon as you feel comfortable, and no. Consult the wiki (search "Invention System")

Every player can get the 66mo vet reward, with no more effort required than to pay your fees. It just takes time.

Memorization took about a week and a half on Aggelakis. She didn't have much money either, so it wasn't just "go to market, buy items, craft things". It was more like "exemplar down to appropriate level, play with friends, hope things drop I can use; go to market, place lowball bids, hope bids go through; sell EVERYTHING I DON'T NEED; play at level 50 to get enough influence to buy the stuff I don't have".

Vanguard sack took two Rikti Raids, one evening.

Agreed. Is there a script I can run that will strip color from other people's posts? I know there's one that will strip color/images from signatures, but I don't know how to change that script to apply it to posts themselves.
  9. Download the install file to your computer. Locate the install file in My Computer or whatever. Right click the install file, then do whatever it is Vista/7 users have to do to run it as an Administrator. (Under Preferences?)

And for future reference, TJ is entirely correct. Mids is not an official program, so you should post comments/complaints/suggestions/bugs to the official Mids forum:

  10. Having it happen like clockwork at a certain time of day suggests it is not your system. System malfunctions are typically not that consistent...if it's not gonna work, it's just not going to work, period, or it's going to randomly not work throughout the day, not at highly-specific timeframes.
  11. Just to be nitpicky...it's retcon, with a "T" ("retroactive continuity"), not recon ("reconnaissance").
  12. None of my villains are really evil. Twisted, vengeful, apoplectic with rage, but not evil.

None of my villains finish Westin Phipps' arcs. I always start him up, going, "OK, this time I will force myself not to care!" And I always get alarmingly involved in the story and have to quit because of the terrible, awful things he tells you to do. I think some of my characters would be able to do the dirty work, but I personally can't, so none of them will. :/

I was deliberately leaving out "respeccing out of IOs in my build" because not everyone has ready access to bunches of respecs. What I listed before, every single player can bring over with a small amount of effort.

Recipe storage at level 50: 20. +9 for memorization. +5 for 66mo vet.
Enhancement storage at level 50: 10.
    Salvage storage at level 50: 50. +20 for memorization/Scrounger. +10 for Vanguard Sack. +5 for 66mo vet.
And +50 salvage for vault (don't know for sure if vault will cross over, since it is not "character based storage", instead being stored off the character - thus why I list it separately from normal on-character salvage storage)

That is a CONSIDERABLE haul if you're willing to go through the morality switch to play the market. And keep in mind the devs have not said it's a quick, easy switch.

  16. I find it amusing that someone insists that something can't happen one way "in another dimension", because other stuff happened a certain way "in our dimension". Hi, welcome to my friend, "in another dimension". What Durakken is talking about is divergent realities, where reality "trees off" based on decisions, also called "many worlds" and other various terms. What Durakken is NOT talking about is other dimensions. Other dimensions can be COMPLETELY different than our own. Other dimensions can be only a little similar to our own. Other dimensions can be mostly similar to our own. Other dimensions can be so similar as to not immediately be able to tell the difference.

Divergent realities/many worlds/etc. can also be all of the above, but the differences are hinged on certain events/decisions/etc. Other dimensions are just... different, and not necessarily because of a certain thing or things.
  17. Not likely to happen. I'd rather suggest they be removed from the enhancement window, since they are just clutter.
  18. Out of sheer, morbid curiosity, I wondered what my rep bar would look like. So I turned it on for like ten seconds to see. More jelly beans than I was expecting to see, since I regularly post stuff that make people think I am saying things other than the text that I place in the input box.
  19. 1-11: buy nothing; sell all drops except endurance reduction (slot these).
    12-16: slot level 15 DOs.
17-whatever: slot appropriate level common IOs. These can generally be had very cheaply off the market, or if you have the stuff to craft them, that works too. By "appropriate level", I mean... the slots you've got at 17, slot with 20s. The slots you get at 18, 19, 20, and 21, slot with 20s. The slots you get at 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26, slot with 25s. The slots you get at 27, etc., etc., slot with 30s... Continue as you go up. Replace lower level IOs if you feel it necessary. (I typically don't.) Keep in mind that as you go up in level, the common IOs get more expensive (to craft AND to buy on the market), but if you leave a lowball bid up on the market overnight, you can typically get them for FAR CHEAPER than "going rate".

Eventually, you'll want to look into set IOs. They make your character much more powerful, but they take a lot more time and research to do well. (And are typically more expensive.)

I just want to reiterate (as an admin at ParagonWiki, so it comes from an official source) that ParagonWiki exists at:
    http://www.paragonwiki.com
    http://wiki.cohtitan.com

For a very brief time, ParagonWiki.com was not under our control, but it's been quite a while since that was true.
  22. Retcon is about making a change to something. Either in past lore/events/people, or in "known future" lore/events/people. Other than that, retcon is (and has been, in comics) widely used for just about everything.

Here's what I wrote in the Player Events promo thread:

Hamidon stubbed his toe during his preparations for transforming into a giant blob, screwing up the project... the possibilities are nearly endless!
Then you show, via your art, what the consequences of that retcon would be. Rikti citizens walking down a street... Stefan Richter's obituary, listing his 231 grand- and great-grandchildren... Hamidon as a giant slab of iron instead of a giant blob... etcetc.

To use a "contemporary" retcon, Superman was originally the last of his kind. Then someone retconned Supergirl, etc., into existence to suit their new stories.
  23. Click your name on this post. Click "Find more posts by StormyDarkness". Go to each of your old posts and click on the little "scales". If the post got reputation, you'll get a list of the reps and comments. If the post did not get reputation, you'll be told it hasn't been repped yet. Either way, you'll also get what your rep total is right now.

The mods removed the User Control Panel comment listing due to rep comment griefing and the fact that the comment listing was broken (would not stay closed between visits to the UCP).

Nope. Had to be after the board merge, because the old boards didn't have rep/rep comments.
