People seem to forget that love doesn't instantly mean an item. People can love each other as friends, people can 'love' their boss, their job, whatever is liked so much it's like an emotional A++.
I'm sure the same goes for the Phalanx; they've all been through some pretty harrowing stuff, time in and time out. I'm pretty sure Posi wouldn't want to see a close friend die (again(?)))
Either that, or they may yet be another couple in the pipe....*sigh* Because stuff out of the blue is so in this season... /eyeroll -

There was no sudden rush of water, or any change on the interior of the Autobot's vehicle mode for that matter. In fact, aside from the rippling water outside, it was as if they were still driving perfectly normally.
"Hide? T'hell with that, lady. Jump me once, you get lucky. But the second jump will be mine, especially on a Decepticon," Silver shot back, weapons systems retracting temporarily while he got used to the handling underwater. Oddly enough, it wasn't too bad. He was pretty sure the odd readings were coming from Mirel on the roof but, for now, he was more than grateful for them.
Of course, what that might mean about the looming mass coming towards them at speed was a whole different issue.
"Uhm....lady?" Silver asked warily, as his lights flicked on to illuminate the massive, orange bulk of the giant Octopus, Lusca, bearing down upon them... -
Quote:"Wait, what? How?" Silver asked, hitting the brakes for a moment, to steady himself as his weapons fired at the incoming Decepticon. Cluster missiles shot out from the frontal pods, while the rail-cannon cracked loudly from the trunk.Indepedance Port
Mirel didnt seem to have a problem staying firm in her place atop the Autobot, even as it transformed slightly to move to attack the fighter that had rather annoyingly interrupted what would have otherwise been a flawless escape. The missiles heading towards them right now were also a bit of a problem.
I just feel its best to point out at this stage that we can submerge and function just as well with a nice shield of water, while the enemy cannot, just so you know, diving would probably be a good idea about now
Mirel was considering perhaps jumping off the Autobot if he didnt get out of the way of these missiles, though that would have the unfortunate side effect of breaking the charm keeping him riding around on the water if she did so. Hopefully she wouldnt have to.
The slight pause in momentum also served to dip his front bumper for a moment...sending him, Mirel and passenger Awesometastic Girl beneath the mostly still waters of the port.
"Woh..." -
Quote:Bah, Rares! I have a grand stinking total of one, and it doesn't even give a level shift!Bah, until they roll out the fix for Masterminds, I'm languishing in the Rares for now. Still, gratz to those with the Very Rares!
Now we have to work on every Trial run in the EU being a "Master of". I'm looking at you Deviants - no excuses for BAF's not being Master of's and it's high-time we worked on the same for Lambda.
((Not including the V.Rare Alpha, but that doesn't rely on the broken MM drop tables...)) -
((when did it become night time? XD
Also, just as a heads up, that wasn't a broadcast. Secure comms channel tuned to frequencies Skycracker would know. Given who is sending them, 'secure' is pretty damn secure

Beneath Steel Canyon, something stirred again. The cybertronian spiderbots paused for a moment, before scurrying quickly back to work.
At the heart of a mass of wiring and cables, looking for all the world like some kind of alien boombox, was sat the apparent base commander.
"Skycracker, acknowledged. Soldier status, identified. Orders, secure the Autobot. Decieve human forces; Pretence, hunting known fugitive. Human Police and Protector units, allies. Authorisation code; Sierra Whisky Alpha. Out." -
Silver hadn't lived as long as he had on Cybertron without being sharp. Hells, that was mostly how he got his name.
"Frag, frag, frag! I knew it was too good to be true!" he yelled, skidding round to face the edge of the quey and accelerating. "This better work, lady!"
Wheels left tarmac, and free-wheeled in midair...
-and hit water. The silver Autobot drove across the water of the port, as if he were cruising on perfect tarmac.
"...Oh, hell yes!" came his triumphant whoop a second later, handbrake-turning in a perfect 360 and slamming into reverse, now driving backwards. "Time to even the score!"
Silver's form shifted and changed. Bodywork and plates slid back and shifted, his form becoming far more alien within moments. Panelling on his bonnet shot back, twin missile-launcher pods jerking into life, as the boot converted to allow room for his rail-rifle to extend.
"Bring it, Decepticreep!"
Meanwhile, beneath Steel Canyon...
Something stirred. Mechanised spider-bots, small scurrying automata powered by a faint purple glow, with gun-metal and amethyst tinted bodywork scuttled too and fro. Already the base was becoming operational.
Of course, that had come second to the situation regarding communications...
Atlas. Skyway. Faultline. And now Steel Canyon.]
So, why was there a signal that had just dropped onto the grid in the docks, this Independence Port?
"Extending Data-nodes 3, 5, 7, 9. Commencing transmission frequency operation. Standard authorisation, active. Weblink, online. Data analysis and aquisition, online. Broadcasting to all Decepticon Agents upon Alternate Earth. All Hail Megatron." -
Several dials flashed amber and red on the Autobot's dashboard.
"Into the water? Look, lady, I can swim. That doesn't mean it doesn't play havoc with my tracking, targetting and movement speed. Same goes for the vast majority of Cybertronians. Except Bumblebee. Still dunno how the dude does it...."
Silver roared out of the tunnel, and at least headed for the quey. Their pursuers followed, the nearest of the Paragon Protectors chancing a thrown fireball, which ended up cruising off target and scorching a bit of pavement. -

Threads like these should be a symbol to some people that, maybe, they should be doing some self examination if it's such a tragedy to have the serves go down for a few hours, prime time or no.
(And yes, I am EU side)
Just saying.

Quote:The fact you yourself called it a slip, and your players called you on it, should give ample evidence that it was, in fact, not the right thing to do.Never Once? Seriously? You never once slipped and said something like, "This is the scariest thing you've ever seen," or "The scene fills your heart with joy and hope"?
I was a DM for a few years myself, and I occasionally found myself doing these sorts of things. And when my players called me on it, I usually checked myself. But to say you never once did it?
All due respect, but sorry, that gets an askance look from me. I might believe it if you were a computer program or a robot... -
A better way of putting it, in my opinion, would be;
Quote:Senior Agent Freymuth has a long and decorated history with Longbow. But now his frustration with the system has boiled over to electing himself Judge, Jury and Executioner.
Bringing him in is one option, either to try and convince to tone his actions down a little, or because you think he's gone too far and it's the 'right' thing to do. Whatever the motive, it will likely result in having a fight on your hands.
Of course, maybe he's right. Maybe it's time to stop being soft on the criminal fraternity and start giving them genuine consequences to their actions. Or, heck, maybe just beating the tar outta them will wind out being more fun than jumping through hoops every day, all the time. Helping Freymuth out might be worth it.

Quote:Not what he means.Doesn't matter. Let's say you have a Spiritual uncommon that your crafted from shards and TF components. You can craft the rare power using solely thread components. After I20 launched you do not have to use shards again unless you want to.
Example; I had the Spiritual Uncommon lined up while only missing the Hero 1 DNA component.
I had no option to turn threads into shards to then make into said component.
Personally, I think Threads should be free to downgrade into shards, and the shard->thread transfer should also be free, but keeping the 1:1 every 20 hours, and the rest of the time being 10:5 -
Quote:Because trying to lay traps near AVs is a surefire way to....get yourself killed.Absolutely worthless. Too bad they didn't give MMs a secondary powerset. That'd help out, I'm sure. Why don't the devs think of these things?
FF? Praet mobs have rediculously high acc anyway
TA? I think I'll let other people bring that one down in flame
Saying 'use your secondary' is like telling a Brute to rely on just their armour. It's annoying, doesn't fit the AT, and shouldn't be happening in the first place. -
Before, it was fine...
Then suddenly everything started lagging during the prisoner phase. ANd every stage on both has power lag. Godawful bloody power lag... -
Yup, Bots are terrible for it too, don't believe they aren't.
"Hurrrr, me punch Warwalker in KNEECAP, DERRRR!" <_>
Me no gusta... *sigh*
Edit: Oh, and /Signed to nixing the ruddy rediculous end cost on the pet upgrades. If you're going to kill them off every 3 seconds, then don't make me sacrifice my end bar just to use my Primary set, damn you... -

Tips manage it just fine, I see no reason why Radios can't too. Keep Mercy, Atlas and Galaxy free as they are now, no problems.

Quote:"S'ok, it's some of the lot from earlier. The ali-uh...guys in power armour," Silver replied, barely skipping a beat as he remembered that, technically, he was an alien here too.Kings Row, Highway
Still holding her balance atop the speeding Autobot, Mirel narrowed her eyes at the seemingly ever growing crowd tailing them.
Am I to assume the new viechal is hostile or not? And do tell me were reaching the port soon, as I left my bow at home so cant take down more then one or two of the fliers at once here
"ETA, pretty damn quick," he added, pulling a skid-turn onto the Independence Port junction, the large gate through the war wall looming ahead.
"Ooh, someones paranoid, huh?" came the reply. Along with being a frontline fighter, Silver had been a courier from time to time back on Cybertron. Although advanced by Earth standards, he was just on par with the crew's technology, possibly of a slightly different type, but similar enough to work in concert.Quote:The occupants of the light buggy looked to one another for a moment, the somewhat unexpected style of the response briefly throwing off their focus. It returned posthaste however, and the two fired off their own reply stante pede. Once more the laser spoke.
First it delivered a radio frequency randomizer sequence. Then came a pulse compressor and the correspondent decompression. Finally, a multi-layered cipher topped off the communication obfuscation. if Quicksilver was the suspicious sort, said nature might've been raised at this. These people treated this place as confirmed hostile territory. They were being beyond careful to ensure no one tapped their communications.
"Comm. check." the silver-clawed passenger then sent via radio to the Cybertronian. Once they had confirmation, he went on to query, "We've convinced the local authorities that we're on their side - for the moment. How can we help...?"
"For now, try and keep 'em from catching up is all. I think the lady on the roof's got something planned in the Port," he answered more fully, just before passing into the tunnel.
The SWAT vans stayed with him, as did the squad of Protectors, the silent and faceless caped fighters keeping pace with relative ease. -
Quote:There was a responding crackle as Silver filtered through channels, tracking down one that the crew were using.Meanwhile, the chase from Kings Row to Independence Port received a new element as the light buggy gradually managed its way past the PPD vans that pursued Quicksilver and his passengers. With the overhead satellite not having picked up any means to directly contact the Cybertronian, the light vehicle's occupants, now having an intermittently clear line of sight to the 'fleeing car', went to the next logical step.
A laser.
Unseen and unheard, the thin beam pulsed at several spots on Quicksilver's rear, each containing the same information in the form of a short binary sequence. While none of the GONAROV's crew knew whether the mechanoid could understand such a (for them) outdated system, they very much hoped he could, and would respond with some kind of confirmation thereof.
"Y'ello? This thing working? Gonna have to shoot the info back this way, because laser-pointer doesn't quite hack it these days," his response came through an occasional blip of static and white noise as the line stabilised. -
Quote:((1. Town borders? Paragon is all one city. District, maybe.Having successfully crossed the town borders via Skyway City-
The looming statue of the Greek deity Atlas towered over them-
2. What Deity? Atlas was never a Greek deity. He was a Titan, though. And that statue is a memorial to the hero Atlas, who was a giant hero who died fighting off the 5th Column in Independence Port.
Background knowledge. It's on the wiki.
Edit: Nice. Nice snark there. Appreciated.)) -

There is room for 5 more costume slots at various levels, without breaking the current system. This should have been done ages ago. -
Quote:50% chance uncommonI kinda wish the participator rewards didn't have commons just uncommon rare and ultra rare tables.
25% Rare
25% Very Rare
That'd work much better. Seriously, both trials excrete threads and AMerits so fast that you do not need Common drops in there. At all. Ever.
