Yes, please.
I would love to see a Player Summit somewhere east of the Rockies - ideally, for me, that means between Pittsburg and Indianapolis, north of Louisville - but DC or Richmond would at least be a start.
Power Customization for Ancillary Power Pools - I can color Fire Blasts from Pri/Sec whatever color I want, but then I'm stuck with orange for anything in the Ancillary.
This one will seem picky, but it still grates on my nerves - please for the love of little green apples, can someone please, please, please go through all the NPC text and fix grammar and spelling?
Textures for some of the old costume pieces, so they don't look painted on. -
Quote:You have to invite a second account who then invites all your alts. If you are paranoid, set access to all your storage way high and leave the invited account at the lowest level. On the heels of that question, how do I get my alts as part of my solo SG? Do I have to invite someone else and have them invite the alt or is there another way?
I have done this for several others here on the forums. What server?
I am not at home right now, but when I get on in a couple of hours, I would be happy to invite your alts to your SG. Just let me know. -
I haven't checked the costumer creator recently, but it's working on a character I added it to some time ago....
-
You weren't the only one who thought that. My main reaction to this contest is <yawn> and "That's nice" spoken with a syrupy Southern accent.

No - I've only done 3 trial total on Live.
But there's a lot of other stuff in the game that isn't in the iTrials - I've been on plenty of TFs (you remember, those cooperative teaming things that are done from levels 10-50) that have plenty of ranged characters playing with the new sets such as Dark Blast/Manipulation for blasters and Time Manipulation for Defenders.
If this whole thread is only about the dominance of Melee characters in iTrials, I have nothing to contribute. -
Quote:Dude - lay off the spicy stuff this late at night - you will give us all the heebie-jeebies....I looked at the pattern in the paragon market. I tried to pretend it looked like a spreading tree, shadows pooled beneath it, but it didnt. It looked more like a dead cat I once found, the fat, glistening grubs writhing blindly, squirming over each other, frantically tunneling away from the light. But even that is avoiding the real horror. The horror is this: In the end, it is simply a picture of empty meaningless blackness. We are alone. There is nothing else.

Not at all sure where you got your original hypothesis - that melee is more popular than ranged (especially if you lump defenders, crruptors, and controllers in there, since they didn't get Tital Weapons or Street Justice the same as Blasters).
And wasn't there some info out there a while back that said that Blasters (mostly ranged, some melee in the secondary, definitely did NOT get TW or SJ) were the most common AT and either Dominators (mix of range & melee & control) or Stalkers (mainly melee AT) were the least popular AT? That would seem to fly directly into the face of the starting point of this thread.
Also, gotta agree with dug's point - not nearly enough data points yet to make a "trend".
T-Beast - dug has 3 data points - 2 sets that start with "ST" and a third one which starts with "T", which is "close enough" - but I'm nearly 100% certain that was with tongue firmly stuck in cheek. -
Quote:People who were going to leave are going to leave regardless. Releasing rushed, incomplete, and unbalanced content would just make people dissatisfied with the game, not make them want to stay.Quote:Of course not. I'm not sure why you think it would. Luckily, there's a whole other game there to hold people's attention and that seems to be doing reasonably well, I'd say. Hell, I'm still messing with Titan Weapons.
Both of them.
Winter Event isn't the only thing going on.
Also, there is a RL Winter Event going on right now that is taking people's attention as they get ready to travel to spend time with RL family.... -
Bringing Lady Veridian - Ill/Kin troller.

<cue Valley Grrrl> Oh. My. Gawd!
I actually thought it would never happen, that Paragon Studios would make changes just often enough to "force" a reset before it happened.
Grats! -
Welcome back, Angry Citizen!
How is school going? Learning lots of good stuffs? Ready to put a plot in motion to take over the world?
Eagerly anticipating some awesome rants - big expectations for you to live up to, don't disappoint. -
Quote:This would be my concern as well.My only concern would be what happens to all the stuff I have in my storage bins. Even if they implemented an SG-wide /enhancement_bin, /salvage_bin and /inspiration_bin like the current /vault, I doubt they would let them have the capacities I'll need to transfer over my entire hoards. For example, all my well developed personal Bases have at least 8 enhancement storage bins, all of which are 70-95% full. So, I'll need to have 800+ items capacity.
I built the bases before, I could build them again. But the salvage (including some old Base Salvage no longer available) and enhancements and inspirations (yes, I have very old Insps saved up just because) would be very difficult (if not impossible) to recreate at this point in the game.
Give me a foolproof way to pull all of that stuff out of my bases, and they could burn to the ground to arise from the ashes.
And I would probably have a good time rebuilding them at that! I rarely tweak my bases now, so all the "fun" of base-building is no longer there. Having to rebuild might make bases fun again.... -
Hey, Tech Gurus!
I just got an unexpected bonus and have funds for a new laptop. I'm pretty sure I have a handle on processor requirements, RAM, etc., but I know I need to add an upgraded video card.
I want to run UM, but top of the line isn't important to me. I just need a couple of opinions about these video cards:
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M 2GB graphics with Optimus
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M (128-bit) 1GB (seems a bit weaker than the above)
Thanks! -
I'm planning on this - bringing my baby WS Incarnate Shadow.
-
If there is still space, please add Winter Shock (elec/ice troller).
-
Uncle Buck
A Christmas Story (because of the season and you know you can get 24 hours of it on Christmas Eve)
Animal House
National Lampoon's Vacation
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation -
OMG - Propel's animation will be almost cut in half (3.8 down to 2.07)!!!
SQUEEEEEEE!
I will be able to bring my Grav Troller out of retirement, she's been languishing at 30 for a long time (one of my first 5 characters, 7 years ago).
VK - you do a wonderful job distilling thes down for the rest of us who can't participate - keep up the good work! -
Blasting - energy or fire.
Although I recently got my wish from Day 1, which is Dark Blast for Blasters.... -
Add AdAstra (dark/ice blaster) please!

Quote:Agreed!I will sign this in blood if I have to...so frakken SICK of it.
Yes, I have SOME costumes on my females that could be considered "sexy", but I would like to have other options! When my options are weighted towards sexy, or to just keep repeating the same basic costume on all my characters (curse you Altitis). Even the "shirts" are sexy style....
As a female gamer, I am not going to go on some feminist rage rant or anything, I just want to see more options aside from "sexy" out there.
I would love to have one of the longer coats, such as the Baron coat, for some of my characters.
There is no period in history where the items in the so-called Female Gunslinger costume were worn in that manner outside of a fairly high-class "gentleman's club". And what is the deal with those hooked "spurs" on the back of the boots/stockings?
And for the steampunk female costumes - what I really, really wanted was to recreate the costume worn by Mina Harker in "League of Extraordinary Gentleman" (the movie, not necessarily the graphic novel) - the one she wore while fighting Dorian Gray, with the corset and leather pants and long coat (sorry, I wasn't able to find a good picture of it).
And much as I love the pieces from the female Witch Leathers, I'm still uncomfortable in wearing the option with skin, because the way the top curves around the bosom just screams "Here they are, Boys! Get a load of my (insert very vulgar terms for the female mammary glands)!"
I know that you can't really base an estimate of the player-base from the forums, but I do see a fair number of female players here and at the Meet-n-Greets I have attended. I wish the David N. et al. would realize that not all of their target audience is slavering immature schoolboys looking for T & A costumes.
Thanks for starting the thread, TechBot!
