  1. Not missing anything. Everything goes well with Rad and Grav isn't an exception.

Think the main reason for the lact of guides is probably that Grav is probably one of the lesser used sets.

If you have any specific questions I'll gladly try and answer them.
  2. oh man...seriously...

    [ QUOTE ]
A tank is supposed to soak up and manage current aggro, not draw additional Adds from unaggroed mobs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

ah, but this is great with /TA, the more mobs you can get into the Oil slick/disruption zone the better.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So if a bug works out for you it's not a bug but merely a "quirk"? Come on!

    [ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
Plus in a set with PAs (and his decoy cast from range) there isn't really a need for another tanking pet

    [/ QUOTE ]

...until the PA duration expires and the mobs all come after you...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ....?
So because you can't manage the mobs before PAs run out this "quirk" is fine?

    [ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
If he's too far back to be doing anything that means he's effective following the player and thus the player should be moving in order to drag the Phanty into normal ranged combat range.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So I have to move closer than I need to to use my powers, thus putting myself at unnessassary risk? No thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes. Oh my...you actually have to think about how you're using your powers to get the best benefit?

    [ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
As Archy says his powers indicate he's supposed to be a ranged blasting & support pet himself, not a tanking one (unlike the PAs who have more powerful melee attacks and properly close to use them), the fact that the FF PROC breaks this is a bug, not a quirk.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If there is a bug, it's the Phantasm accepting KB sets in the first place. No one is forcing you to slot it with this proc, if you don't like the way it affects the phants behaviour then don't.

    [/ QUOTE ]

oh man...please put the crackpipe down.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
It's not really a bug, just a quirk of the AI. It does mean your phant draws more aggro from you, and proably hits more mobs with his aoe, so it is desirable under some circumstances. Would be great for /FF for example.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So? Let me get this straight. You're saying that this IO changes the way the intended AI is supposed to work and it isn't a bug?

Also...cones tends to be somewhat lacking in melee y'know.
  4. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! GoGo Mortimer!
  5. [ QUOTE ]
Well when we started we got fights from everyone, then after a week of straight wins... suddenly it stops!

So we assumed that cause we always won was the reason no one wanted to fight us.

    yeyeye we make np

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll have Globey answer your question as this is a nice example of your sporting behaviour:

    [ QUOTE ]
Why would Vindicate take it personally? ROFL! None of us even turned out to the n00b fest. So what does it really have to do with us? Sweet FA i'm afraid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Weird you guys can't get fights isn't it?
  6. [ QUOTE ]
    Agreed,

We've just got to work out what the Carrot on the end of a stick can be to tempt those who can not normally be bothered or who are a bit jaded about PvP.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Carrot: Make sure the vocal minority of 4 idiots won't attend and I'm sure a lot more would be interested.
  7. Archy

    Guess whos back!

    [ QUOTE ]
lol ello sing star ;D , long time no see

oh god no! I'm not that whiny!
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Besides mind is not the less dmg primary on trollers precisely

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nonono...Mind is gimp apparantly. Buff Mind plz
  9. [ QUOTE ]

I'm not. I said I wasn't. I just asked for ideas. I'm sorry if the idea that someone is interested in the ideas and opinions of the community without trying to push thier own agenda is so alien to you.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    You're funny.

    [ QUOTE ]
Even the best ideas can be improved

    [/ QUOTE ]

And for some reason all of your "improvements" to the AT includes some way of lessening the inherent? Funny that isn't it?

    [ QUOTE ]
and I don't agree that "containment is regarded as one of the best inherents in the game". I hear some people say that, but I also see some people saying it's broken.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ok. That would be the nerfherders then?

    [ QUOTE ]
I would think "the best inherents in the game" would be

    [/ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
    Rage

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm guessing you mean Fury? Yes it's one of the better ones.

    [ QUOTE ]
    scrapper criticals

    [/ QUOTE ]

Please. Crits are a joke. Too unreliable.

    [ QUOTE ]
    the MM ones

    [/ QUOTE ]

MMs get more than 1 now? And Supremacy is pretty weak.

    [ QUOTE ]
    Sourge

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Good one that.

    [ QUOTE ]
    and new defiance

    [/ QUOTE ]

meh...has it's good points. I'd hoped they would've merged it with oldfiance instead of just replacing it.

    [ QUOTE ]
a Mind/Empathy controller for example, gets little benefit from containment.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Benefits just as much as any other controller combo.

    [ QUOTE ]
Now get off your high horse accussing people of nerfhearding and explain to those War Mace tankers why no power should ever be changed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

hehe...you're being funny again aren't you? Where have I said that everything should stay the same? I happen to think this particular inherent doesnt need changing but if we're gonna talk about things to buff we could be here a long time.

Oh...at least my high horse doesnt have it's own hosepipe.
  10. Ok..since we've (apparantly) have established this isn't about nerfing controllers but actually buffing their capabilities in the controlling area, why is it you're so adamant in changing the inherent? I think it's fairly safe to say that Containment is regarded as one of the best inherents in the game but you still feel it's a top priority to change it?

You can use all the capital letters in the world to try and convince yourself that you're actually trying to help controllers instead of crying for nerfs but this is pure and simple nerfherding.

Sit back and let the hosepipe rest for a bit...

Bare in mind I only really face one type of enemy on that toon

[/ QUOTE ] There you go

[/ QUOTE ]Which type would that be? I still find stone much better for family.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yup thats the one. I think it comes down to personal opinion and preferences. Some people i know prefer stone some psi

[/ QUOTE ]Some close minded heathen choose fire!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Oi! you...me...arena!
  12. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Thats the case but only really for squishies in general pve, and as you state psi fills that hole if you got enough recharge

[/ QUOTE ]Def > Res for tanks too. And scrappers. And everything. Def is much easier to cap. Capped def is the same as capped res for most PvE play. Def also dodges debuffs and mez. So psi doesn't fill the debuff hole. I found that with psi as opposed to stone, I was squishier, even without using EE on stone. Both in combination with tough+weave.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Entirely depends what you're fighting.

If Union is full of PVP then I'm moving to Union

    [/ QUOTE ]

If the same four [censored] bickering on arena about who can be the most annoying is PvP to you then sure.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Who are these 4 people ? Btw I didn't know you hung around on union to see arena chat .

    [/ QUOTE ]

    There's a lot you don't know...
  15. Debuffs doesnt interrupt your sleeps.

TK holds up to 5 mobs (iirc?) and pushes them back until they cant be pushed further back so handy in closed spaces and to quickly doublestack holds on a boss.

Mind/Rad is a pretty powerful combo

  17. Rad or Kin for sure...with Rad having a small edge (and you'll be mean in arena duels )
  18. [ QUOTE ]

Finally it has to be noted that Chain Induction is currently bugged so you dont get any XP for mobs killed by the leaping charges, so an already poor power also leaches XP

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Gogo gadget threadomancy!

Is the xp bug on mobs killed by or only damaged by the leaping charges?
  19. [ QUOTE ]
Speed boost actually is (as you incorrectly state) an awesome end recovery boost. In fact, my SB is only slotted for endmod making it approx as good a boost to end as stamina is, albeit only for a short duration.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Speed Boost is twice as good as Stamina.

    hm... to the test-mobile?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would...but guess it's virtually impossible to test nowadays since the regen resistance change

    Illusion/Empathy

It's a choice between Health, Maneuvers (for a lotg) or the Pet.

Maneuvers you dont even have to run so you don't need slots for it.

Health and Phantasm needs a few slots.

I would probably go for Health as you could boost your HPs and heal at the same time where you would only get +HP with your pet.
  23. Well...according to the same link PB wouldnt buff EF either so thats a no.

when I fought Lusca it was something like this:

Fire epic: Use your debuffs and PA and attack to your hearts content while trying to stay alive. Move away when PA would drop and wait for PAs to get back up. In this time Lusca would regen about 50% of the damage I had done on the previous run.

Primal epic: same as above but with PB'd LR. Lusca would regen about 10% in between runs.

    LR (preferably power boosted)

    [/ QUOTE ]
Which will only affect the slow, but sure

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm sure it boosts the -regen aswell. I did Lusca a hell of a lot faster after I respec'd to primal compared to my prior fire epic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    nope it doesn't afaik.. source

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well...In that case I'm very possibly wrong but I've always had the feeling every AV/GM I've done has gone down a lot faster if I've used PB'd LR.
