Grav/Rad is good. Imo not the best combination as others but it's good.
You will have trouble soloing AVs seeing you will lack the damage I'm afraid.
Ill/Rad is still the big AV killer.

Soloing AV's is hard work with a Grav/Rad, almost impossible if they are over your level, especially if they take out your pet.
But they are great controllers to play in a 50 team, the mix of the hard holds and debuffs are pretty useful, and once slotted up right seem to work a lot better than other 50 controllers for team play imo.
Callista = Lvl 50 Grav/Rad.

PAs can fairly easy be made near perma with IOs nowadays and of course you should be using Blind and Spectral Wounds aswell as basically any other power you can throw at it.
PAs -> Debuffs -> LR (preferably power boosted) -> go to town

Well...In that case I'm very possibly wrong but I've always had the feeling every AV/GM I've done has gone down a lot faster if I've used PB'd LR.

might have been because it buffed your anchors as well? I dunno, i never did deliberate testings with PB + rad.. maybe i should when i get my grav/rad up to those lvls

Well...according to the same link PB wouldnt buff EF either so thats a no.
when I fought Lusca it was something like this:
Fire epic: Use your debuffs and PA and attack to your hearts content while trying to stay alive. Move away when PA would drop and wait for PAs to get back up. In this time Lusca would regen about 50% of the damage I had done on the previous run.
Primal epic: same as above but with PB'd LR. Lusca would regen about 10% in between runs.

Power Boost won't affect PA or -Res from EF, so how would they hit for more damage?

I suspect the -500% regen of LR may be more than enough to overcome the regen of the tentacles. A couple of months ago I was able to take down a tentacle with my Kin/Psi defender with a tank holding all the agro while we were waiting to start a STF. We did have a grav/rad troller join us at some point but I think that was after we had taken down one tentacle.
