We did ours in 35 minutes, which was pretty cool. Plenty of (my) deaths, but hey. Heck, Reichsman went down, and the first time I'd done it his entire encounter was longer than our run tonight...

Why. Why. Why. Why. Why.
Why did I even just not click the x? Maybe I'm crazy.
I will say that is a very accurate looking baby.
Without a neck.
And back of head.
And body.
With wires coming out of it.
WHY. -
Oddly enough I've always thought that Geena Davis would be the one to portray "me" in any movie about "me", because we look very similar. And since my main Retail Retali8r IS me, and I could nail the look of "me" in COH very well, the transition to Geena is very clear.
My current villain is really the only male I could think of that wouldn't require tons of work to make him look okay. He's also gone through a lot of changes since I originally imagined him, but he looks OH so good with that mustache. Hugh Jackman is the dreamiest thing on two legs, and it'd be a shame to let his perfect features go to waste on anyone else but Alorel. Mainly it's the long, straight and sharp nose, and that chin.

I'll admit that I didn't even know what it did - nor did I notice *any* effect when I used it on him during the fight. It didn't have any effect that I saw, it still took the same amount of time to defeat him, and he was still ridiculously overpowered while in the midst of the other avs.
If I get the power again, I will try to lob it at him at the start, but frankly it didn't seem to have *any* effect after the fighting started. -
I'll try and be there with my emp/dark, though I'm a bit leery of using her since this is a reasonably tough bunch of AVs at the end.

I ... utterly forgot about this But then I was playing FEAR, and my idea of evil and romance might have gotten mixed up in Paxton. -
Eeep!
Well one of my favorite online comics took me completely by surprise this morning, I guess if you don't read it it won't have the same impact but still,

Made me all melty inside. -
I would certainly enjoy providing some voice acting, if you're in need. Badge (bungeeball) in the protector server has been sitting on a great project we filmed going on two years ago in game, which I contributed to. Some day hopefully that'll see the light of day

I did this TF last night for the very first time, on a db/wp scrapper, and I had a ton of fun. Yes, we had at least two close or full team wipes, just in that last encounter. But ... we still pulled through, and made it anyway. Plus, once half my team was unconscious, and then the tank fell, and *I was the last one standing actually fighting him*, I felt *GLORIOUS*.
Yes, he ko'd me a few moments later, but it was still full of awesome. Its a tf I will eagerly do again. It felt *challenging*. -
They say there's other beak options, so maybe! I hope so, because while the Jester long and short masks *do* work, they're still just jester masks and not beaks.

I'm hoping that the second pack is "cold blooded" for lizards, fish, amphibians, dragons etc. But also that there's a "woodland critters" pack for deer (which I have need for), skunks maybe? Bird tails? And a "barnyard" set for stuff like pigs, goats, horses (there's still no horse head/tail )...
I love these guys though. They're really shining as far as I am concerned. Now WHEN. WHEEEEENNNNNNNn. I want it NOW, daddy!
and SQUIRRELS. I want. -

Yaaaaah. Oookaaaaaayyyy... -
Heheh, actually my favorite thing about the Chalet is the mooing of the cows, you know, in place of cowbells.
-
Not much of it, since many parts of Praetoria remind ME of downtown San Diego. Neon trim on buildings, very pretty indeed.
-
It seems so very far north on that map.
And we get so very little snow in Paragon. -
I soloed the whole time except for like 1 group on a winter lord.
Alorel, ice/therm corruptor 30-almost 35
Heavenly Headbanger sonic/electric blaster 17-20
I don't really want to even rush Alorel though, because he's my ONLY villain that I actually play, and certainly my highest ever redside. I really am enjoying the stories there. Now if only I didn't have to do those pesky mayhems to get new contacts -
I had a mostly hate relationship with it when I ran my store. People would literally beg me to open a copy when it came in, so they could check their newest Image book's "value". I mean... ugh.
But, it had its place. And who am I to argue when I got a write up in Todd's little "what do you say" (or whatever it was called) page, when a customer (sadly now deceased) talked about me at length for why he shopped at my store.
Many features were awesome, Twisted Mego Theater for instance, and the little one-panel gags scattered through the book. As far as a price guide went, meh. But the features were often quite fun to read. -
It's probably been mentioned in this very long thread already but...
"COMPLETE SETS" please.
Not pieces here and there, but complete freaking sets. If there's fur, there needs to be fur on the head, ears, accessories, chest, shoulders, gloves, belt, legs, tail, and boots. If there's a pattern like 'feathers' or 'scales' it needs to be available on ALL of those sections.
They need to match, in reflectivity and shading. They need to at least mostly line up around the joins. I don't care if they clip. But I do care that an entire beast may be created, instead of some kind of bizarre piecemeal cherry picked bits from numerous different animals.
I love that cheetah image, and the eagle head = amazing. So... there is hope. I just plead COMPLETE SETS. -
Actually I think Lloyd has helped me on the rare occasion when I've had issues too. So kudos to Lloyd and all the other folks doing a great job patrolling our bug reports and helping our petitions

^^ This.
MY only beef with it is that I'd love to have seen an extended director's cut or something that didn't leave out a lot of the stuff that was pretty clearly left out. It was a tremendously enjoyable action movie, and just sheer FUN. -

Quote:The main difference between The Shining movie and The Shining TV miniseries, according to King himself and why he wanted to do the miniseries, is that Kubrick made Jack's insanity a result of supernatural aspect of the Overlook while in King's book, the crazies were more a result of his alcoholism (which mirrored what King himself felt he was going through at the time with his own alcohol problem and his family).
Just as an aside here, I spent a weekend in the Stanley Hotel, where the Shining was both written and originally filmed for the prior version before Jack got at it. It was an awesome stay, the stoner guides led their ghosty-believers on tours around the place, which was hilarious because they would occasionally add things like, "I might have been a little high, but..." It's a stunning Victorian-era hotel, with beautiful grounds, and an amazing backdrop of the Colorado Rockies. If you ever get the chance, go, stay a night or two. My bathroom door wouldn't stay shut, it would slowly, slowly creeeek open -
Quote:Oh I know of ONE at least, that HAS moved on. Thankfully, he's snarky over on the Steam forums so I know how to avoid him anywhere else... Since I've had him on ignore here for years.I doubt it. Most internet %%%hats don't have that degree of self-awareness.
It really is true, the COH community IS exactly that. Down in the Protector forums we have a tightly knit family of friends. Concerns about personal issues as well as in-game events are shared equally. We have our annual holiday card exchange, we really do feel the connection.
We in COH seem to know what it means to be "heroes". I'm not ashamed to be proud of that fact.
