Yeah, that was going to be my biggest source of dismay. As is I feel left out that I don't have the Rikti Mentalist... The other costume codes are nowhere near as interesting as that single one.

    Answer 10:
As mentioned before, the sooner our PC players start using the NCsoft Launcher, the sooner they will get access to a brand new Wisp aura on your live account. As for our MAC users, you will all get the Wisp aura once the NCsoft Launcher is available for the MAC client.

This. I greatly enjoy getting new (especially free) costume pieces and would be a bit peeved to miss out on this simply because of the OS I use. And, before anyone offers such advice, no, I do not own any Windows machines that would be capable of preforming this download just to get the aura.

I'd eventually like to make an Arbiter character. Is that possible with the available ressources?

Thanks a lot for the help! I'll try to post what I find out myself.
As far as I can tell, you will never be able to get the exact Arbiter look. We don't have gold, only yellow-that-can-look-like-gold-while-sqinting, we, as stated above, cannot have their capes, and from what I can tell their suits aren't really white, but a sort of silver/pearl that falls under the same gold/yellow idea.

This is my 'Field Grade' Arbiter. I went with Field Grade as a 'rank' of sorts, similar to Arbiter Sands, as an explanation for why the cape is a different colour.

  6. Not sure about anywhere else, but you would probably have best/better luck trying this on Virtue, where there are more people interested in RP and RP related SG's. In fact, I'm sure if you posted this in the Virtue forums you'd get a bit more of a response with details and ideas.
  7. Depends on what you want to do with the build. I have seen various builds posted that show how to use the powers and transforms to cover the End issues. If you plan on being in Human a lot, you might want to consider it, though I've seen many, many builds that don't take it.
  8. My wife and I enjoy our pacted PB's (28ish) so much we made some WS's to give them a try.

I have heard that doing a PB/WS combo/pact is very effective, given you'll be doing two different damage types as well as three (four if you count KB) debuffs, -Def, -Spd, and -Rech.

    Mids for Mac

My search-fu is so horrible, when I tried looking for pre-existing topics about this, I ended up in the AT sections asking about Fire/Psi Dom builds and Tank questions.

Has Mids been made Mac compatible yet? I already know the viable solution of downloading the program that escapes my mind right now that can simulate Windows, but I don't like using those and don't have a spare copy of Windows I can install.
  11. Villain: Aeon, simply because its so much fun to try and count the amount of times you beat up on him on the road to 50, on a single toon. "Go beat information out of Aeon." "Go get this report from Aeon." "Go force Aeon to write this report." And he's such a good sport about it.

Hero: I'd have to say Breakneak. I'm a sucker for the 'old school' tragedy stories.

On the toolbar, hit Window and choose Sets & Bonuses. You can see what set bonuses you have there. If you break the rule of five, the first text in the left hand side of the S&B window will tell you that you aren't receiving all your bonuses, and then if you scroll down, powers that aren't contributing will have that particular set bonus in red text, so you know what to adjust. I didn't even know about the rule of five until I noticed that in mids.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Glad to know that little tid-bit. Right off hand I don't think I've broken the rule of five, but I'll have to take another look at it later today just to make sure. Amusing that I'd start using Mids seriously with my first Kheld and not with my VEAT that I love so dearly.

Speaking of Res cap on Dwarfs; I've heard it mentioned several times throughout multiple guides, but after looking at the numbers in Mids it only shows something like 53%. Do the numbers Mids shows, ontop of the potential from Cosmic Balance, all add together for the Res cap? How exactly does that work? Is there anywhere I could find numbers for Cosmic Balance, besides teaming with one of each AT and checking my attributes window?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The resistance cap is a set limit and depends on AT, for PB's it's 85% res, comparably tanks are 90%. The latest version of Mids still does not allow cosmic balance and dwarf to be active together, unless you modify it yourself.

As of i13, cosmic balance adds bonuses while in all forms. For each blaster/scrapper/brute/stalker [iirc] on your team, you get ~10 res all per player of that type within 80'. With dwarf slotted for resistance near the 55% mark [~3 SOs], you have ~59 points of resistance to all but toxic/psi. These add together for your final resistance value and is limited to a maximum of 85 points.

You can check the power info for cosmic balance for the exact numbers of the bonuses for each AT.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Thanks for the info.
  14. I'd suggest joining VirtueBadges09, Virtue LFG Alpha, and Virtue TF. Though I don't usually see many STF's being run. Could be wrong though.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Reform essence is a dull pain [+ max HP] clone that carries over into both forms, with proper slotting it can be up near constantly and with IOs, perma. It makes a huge difference.

White dwarfs play like SS/fire tanks, the dwarf heal is a large part of the mitigation, the knockdown helps a lot also. If you use IO sets, building for +rech and HP is a solid direction to go in this regard.

Generally you should only need dwarf form outside of an extra heal when facing a void/quant or when tanking for larger groups. This weekend I did a number of missions on large teams, most with AVs. Due to the tanks not having taunt, I ended up as primary tanker, and generally outlasted them due to capped [85] resists on larger teams. Granted, a dwarf isn't as reliable as a tank, but can certainly substitute in for mediocre ones.

  16. One thing to keep in mind is that, as of i13, the Cosmic Balance applies while still transformed. Just playing with the two of you means less general team buffs and less Cosmic Balance buff.
  17. Pretty much what Timeshadow said. My wife and I duo our PB's and we have both become semi-skilled/talented at dropping Dwarf long enough to pop one of the Human heals, jump back in, use Sublimation, drop out to pop the other Human heal, and go right back into it. It seems to just be apart of it, given that Dwarf is only a pseudo-Tank.

I'm glad to mentioned Rech Intensive; they're not in Mids.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nothing to add except that I suggest you update your Mids. The recharge intensive pet sets are there in the latest version.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah-ha! Thanks for pointing that out.

    Edit:
After taking the time to slow down and look, I did see the Rech Intensive set, just had to mouse down a little further. Though as I was changing a few small things around, something hit me and I'm not entirely sure of how it works or what x% is marked as what by the game, but don't I run the risk of hitting the rule of five with the Regen bonuses? Is there a way to tell, in Mids, if the bonus is tiny, small, medium, or large? Give that I didn't go for an expensive build, for the most part, there wont/shouldn't be any extreme bonuses.

    Build Help

    [ QUOTE ]
I haven't done many PB builds myself, but here are a few Notes:

    - Nova doesn't need 6 slots. Flight is already really fast. ToHit isn't so big that it needs enhancing. The only thing this power *needs* I'd say is end mod and end reduction. The +end chance IO is nice, and should be combined with the End Mod/End Reduction IO, then slot an End Red/Fly if you want.

    - White Dwarf doesn't need 6 slots. Its overkill what you got there. I can see with certain IO +DEF bonuses and endurance recovery, this power could be 6 slotted, but not with what you have here. 4x Reactive and 2x +end/end/end mod like you have in Nova.

    - all form attacks: You realize you can use the same set more then once? Just looks like you are trying to get 1 of every bonus instead of focusing on a single/couple weakness or strength.

Switch photon Seekers to recharge pet set. Quantum Flight never needs more the 1 slot unless you plan to phase every 30 seconds.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks. When it came to the attacks, I was so/too focused on trying to get the most out of the bonuses that I totally forgot/overlooked that simple fact; I tend to over-exaggerate the Rule of Five and end up picking different sets every time. I'm glad to mentioned Rech Intensive; they're not in Mids. Now that I think about it, too, by attempting to globally 'fix' minor End issues, that would lower the need for that much End Mod in both form toggles.

So, that being learned... Take 1-2 slots out of both Nova and Dwarf and move them into...?
  20. I know my wife slotted a heal set into her Dark Servant. Not sure if its just us, but her DS seems to heal more often then mine does.
  21. Always made me wonder why the Katana powerset was left-handed as well. Unless they knew they were going to make Shields a long, long time ago and wanted to set the stage for no Kat/BS... [Puts on tin-foil hat]
  22. Though I do like to point out a small, interesting detail. Judging by that wallpaper picture, Lord Recluse is either A.) left-handed, or B.) a left-handed shooter.

    Build Help

My PB is currently only level 25, but I'm attempting to do my research, planning, and brain storming as early as possible to try and reduce the number of respecs. Below is my first attempt at seriously using Mids, attempting to combine set bonuses effectively, and create a newbish abomination of slots and powers. As it stands, I do plan on spending a lot of time in Nova and Dwarf, though I did try to make use of some Human powers. Suggestions and advice from experience would be wonderful.

If a keld joins the team there's always a void/quant in every mission (on large teams usually multiples) with normal missions. There's also the chance of encountering novas, dwarves, and on large teams cysts.

I'd have thought that the special mobs (voids especially) would spawn in AE missions anyway.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think the only time an anti-Kheld will appear in an AE mission is if the creator just sets a standard enemy group without any specific limitations. I.E. the mission is filled with standard Vhazilok enemies without any customization will allow for anti-Khelds, otherwise they are something you have to manually place into a mob yourself. This just being a semi-educated guess given what little AE content I've done on my PB and with Khelds on the team.
