I also explicitly said I have nothing against PL'ers. I have also explicitly said I have NOTHING against Globey getting a level 50 VEAT. I may not rate is as an acheivement, but theres nothing bad about it. In fact, I explicitly said that I thought people having a go at him on this thread was very poor taste indeed.

Personally I think its a good thread - gives me insight into how / why some people play. Twilight Grasp ( HIGHEST pbaoe heal in game , with -acc debuff and -regen too, yeah its missable but almost never happens with 2 accs slotted and tactics running)

Tar Patch (-%30 res to you, which makes me hit for %30 more to you)

Shadow Fall (The only team buff that gives PSI resistance and fear too)

Dark Servant (oh and i have a pet too, i cant count the times this fluffy has saved my life in 1on1 pvp, when im held and about to die, he heals me :O, or holds the enemy, and oh it has a darkes night of its own (another -%25 acc) and has a power (not sure about the name) which acc debuffs if ur near him, so i keep staying close to him.

And /energy, yeah yeah its not as "good" as psi maybe, but it has good single target dmg (better than dark and rad) and, knockback, which is quite useful at times.

Oh and whats more i have temp invul, tactics, assault (%12.5 more dmg), conserve power, POWERBUILD UP , and TOTAL FOCUS .

Im recently back to game, after issue 8, so i had no IOs on my lvl50, i thought id suck at pvp, so i wanted to give it a try, i killed a claw/regen scraper , and a plant/firs dom, and easy too.

And b4 issue 8 , ive had lots of solo fights the ONLY guy that has owned me was an ice/ice blaster, (i was out of break frees and he had 2 holds). Other than that i have lost to noone in 1on1 pvp.

Now can you please give the reasons why you think dark/en sucks?! And what u have against this build. Oh and your ign pls too .

Means nothing against a stalker with 16% damage buff and the next patch. The only way you could damage my EM/WP stalker is with tar patch's -res but as noted, you dont have a way to keep me in.

As far as i remember from out last chat in vindicate channel, Phil's psi/em is a really, really, really, really, really, heavy attacker that can 2 shot toons. Me and globe tested his fortunata. He has 49% and 44% defense to melee/range (cant remember which goes where) and a bit lower AoE. I dont know exactly the numbers, but Globe's fortunata managed to hold my WP. It has a uber confuse and a mini-vengeance with faster recharge if i recall correct. It works great in teams and pvp zones.

So I tried a small bit of PvP last against a friend, he was a WP/SS tank and I was playing my WP/EM. I thought I would do a good show of myself, and I guess since he didn't manage to make my HP bar move despite being level 50 and me 43 could be considered good, but on the other hand neither did I budge his bar.

We wailed on each other for a minute or so and neither managed to hurt the other. I had thought a EM could output damage enough to hurt, but even with hasten and able to do my usual BU + ET + BS + TF + BS + ET I barely dimpled his bar.

Granted, he was running with Tough and Weave. The only difference was that his blue bar was going down while mine stayed at max, but this was probably because of running Tough/weave/FA, I doubt it would've been enough to win.

Does the level difference have any impact in PvP?

Anyway, I'm going to grab Tough soon-ish, but I'm pondering the use of Weave (I'm a PvEr btw, but these forums are so dead that any question I make tends to just gather dust instead of replies, so I'm trying my luck in this section).

I kinda doubt those 7% will make a huge difference and was pondering grabbing SoW instead for AVs and the ocasional PvP.

Any thoughts?

My build (I'm 43 atm and haven't bough all the Numinas neither the uniques yet), everything else is slotted. As a PvE tank I focused on +HP and +regen, as well as grabbing all 5% recharge times. Maybe shuffle things and put a LoTG on each defense power?

Assuming that you was doing fightclub with him (toe to toe, not jumping etc) It is very hard to kill a WP brute/tanker/scrapper with a melee toon in a fightclub. That is because they get like 750% regen with 1 target near in pvp. My stalker usually can kill WP as long as they are not near a mob or another character. But debuffs vs WP is a game over. Well, if the debuffer knows how to play.

Tough is good in pvp, weave from the other side, no. I always saw weave as a chance for another slotting for bonuses, especially lotg.

Hey there and welcome. Well if you wanna play support, there are toons like kinetics, empath, sonic, thermal you will enjoy. Damage toons, there are plenty. But if you want range, blasters, rad/psy defenders, corruptors (CoV side). As far as i know its true that Union has the biggest pvp population across all 4 servers. Now pvp SGs, there are like 5-6 that are only based around pvp. But there are many SGs in union that do pvp very often.

Range &gt; Melee, that highly depends on what you are playing versus the toon that the enemy plays. But most of the time yes, range &gt; melee.

Willpower sucks for zonal pvp. Mediocre defense, mediocre resistance, lack of healing, in need for the enemy to stand close and still in order to regenerate faster. I'd take fire over WP anytime.
