  1. I have a few suggestions:

    /Ice melee as someone said would be good. It has good mitigation, the dmg is not the best as a downside.

    /Stone has good mitigation and good damage, downside being the heavy end cost of attacks.

    /DM compliments DA in soo many ways. I cannot think of a con with it.

    I can't think of any other secondaries I prefer for DA since I like it with mitigation and buffs so thats all.

    Incarnate Abilities should be more accessible than just doing the trials. For the past two nights, I did two SFs (one is the new villain SF in sharks and one is the new TF in IP) and the total # of Shards I got is 4-5. I can't imagine how long it's going to take to get new abilities by just doing SFs on a "typical pace". By "typical", I mean doing SFs for the purpose of beating it rather than farming the same SF (like ITF) on the lowest setting x 8. Lowest setting SF puts me to sleep.
    I'm "forced" to do tedious end game material to keep up with the other players who are doing them so I can be useful to the team. We were "forced" in to IO sets, because now if you do not have them you're not able to be as useful on teams yet again. And he is being "forced" to do trials with large groups under the same circumstances as many other updates in this game. What is even the purpose of you telling us your "friends" feelings? This thread is pathetic... I'm mad I wasted my time... back to work.
  6. What is the point of playing a MMO if you just want to play with the same people all the time? Seriously, your friend needs to broaden his scope. I never understood that as I would not be able to level as I have without PuG, since my channel and VG friends seem to always be busy or gone. If the problem is annoying people on the PuG then make your own team and kick the people off who are annoying.

    I'm so over this PuG complaining. If that the problem, make a VG or channel with the just the people you wont to play with and hope that they are on when you want to do a trial. Otherwise shut up! All content is for all people, not just to please a few selfish people. In my experience, the people who dont like PuG are usually the bossy, jerk, know-it-all!

  8. @McCharraigin running in with that Fire/Elec with full damage was nice. I only got him to the high 20's so I never got to see his full potential. EM/Elec was fotm in pvp,pve when Elec first came out.

    I do wonder how mace would be. I saw a Mace/SR brute while doing a SF (the one in St martial u get from that ice lady forget her name). It was unique , but I'm sure they had a hard time with it all the way up to 48 :P

    Yes, SS is a hard hitter and I guess if you're going for damage it would be the best bet? I find there are so many other ways you can do more damange, quicker attacks, survivability, etc., to be just as good as your SS/WP and SS/FA (although I will admit how solid and ez they are).
  9. I've heard of people wanting to make claws/elec, but I've only ever seen one. I'd consider that unique.

    Fire/Elec has a bad rep? I had one as a scrapper it was the beeeest! I remember Energy/Elec used to be a FotM, but since it isn't anymore we'll call it an oldie but goodie

    Always wanted to try claws/DA (or claws anything). Haven't got around to it.

    Currently have a Stone/DA at 50. It was a rough road playing /DA without Dark Melee, but with the mitigation and defense bonuses its solid. I also used to have a Stone/Elec which was awesome, but we didn't have energize back then so I deleted (DoH). The one toon I had that I think was unique but too rough to play was a SS/SR.
  10. I made a thread awhile ago asking some questions about this combo. I decided to make one. I got frost as soon as I could and life began to get EZ! Now at 30, I love him...Hope to give a full run down sometime in the future. It is a great TANK with decent damage and Ice patch early on makes me the MVP on almost everyday.

  14. I actually have one of these at 50. As Moonlight said, it is an end hog at early levels, but it doesnt have to be. My original build was based on recharge and end and I could use attack after attack with no problem. If you want to see that build, I can find it...but I literally had to use Dark Regen ALL the time. I changed the buils to melee defense bonuses and end (some lotg +rch's). My build is almost done, but even with the defense bonuses, mitigation is important. Fault, Tremor, and CoF with the defense are super helpful. I did not put in Death Shroud as it got me killed often, but I would still suggest to get it if you could (more dmg is always a good thing). Taunt is in the build too just for those moments when a squishy in the distance needs a little help (and for the melee def). I have cardiac incarnate and energy mastery for the end and I find I did need them. Ghost Widow's pool with DN could be useful for the -tohit, -dmg to mobs (not my style for a brute). Please know that /DA is still a squishy armor so take advantage of the mitigation, you will live longer:

  16. Trying to figure out what is a decent % in Mid's.

    Usually I subtract the end recovery by the end drain, but I am not sure what sort of result that give me in-game or what number it should come out too.

    Help?
  17. I played a WP/Ice up to the mid 20's and totally didnt like it. This was about a year ago? I did not like Frost, and I'll admit I didn't really give it a chance....I find it so hard to believe GIS is skippable, but alright. I put a new SD/Ice build below.   18. For year now I've been thinking of trying an Ice melee and around that time I rolled a WP/Ice tank. I was happy with the WP and very happy with her costume , but she was very lacking in the damage department. I deleted her, but my urge to make an Ice melee burned brighter.

    Ice melee really lacks damage which I found out the hard way. So until they proliferate ice melee to another AT I came up with two builds that may help rememdy this.

    This first is Ela/Ice tank. I decided to "hike" up the recharge on this build, so even though the damage may still not be super it will make up for it in application:

    The second build is SD/Ice. This is one I really like and have considered. Soft-capped and the damage is the highest I've gotten for Ice Melee (with B'UP and AAO).

    Now I am not expert build maker and I do not do frankenslotting, but I thought these were decent enough. I'm sure some of you out there can do better so give it a shot! Feedback, ideas, etc. I want to see more Ice Melee!!!
  19. Anyone tried this power? I see the numbers on it and higher than the brute, tanker and stalker by a little.

  23. I think I would go for the scrapper version based on the higher base dmg. Yes, the brute has more HP, but I don't think you will notice the difference too much with good defense, recharge for perma dull pain and siphon life.
