Been there, done that. Been doing that for the last 2½ months, actually.
NCSoft is not closing the game down because of a lack of player interest. They're closing it because it no longer fits in their business plan.
Main Hero: Chad Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1396 Badges

I agree with Chad; many of us have been working to save City of Heroes. Efforts continue at Titan: http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index....ard,134.0.html If there are other initiatives, I for one would like to know about them. Here's hoping NCSoft sells the IP and rights to CoH soon after 12/1 and our characters can continue (whether likely or not, it's my hope.)

We tried everything. We filled up 33 Atlas Parks on Virtue, with a bunch of overflow onto Freedom and Infinity. Over 20,000 people signed the "Save CoX" petition on Change.org. We flooded the personal email accounts of NCsoft execs with emotional emails and flooded their physical mail with actual capes and masks. We contacted internet celebrities and famous game developers to either buy us out or to help bring awareness to our cause. We tried to get the money together ourselves to buy the freaking game from them.
NCsoft didn't budge, and they won't. We don't fit some executive's vision of an anime grindfest.

Someone posting on their 2nd or 3rd account so they can use a different name?
I mean, you can no longer create GAME accounts, so this must be a pre-existing account that never signed up on the forums.

Which brings me back to the thinking that most of the people that i knew had a VIP and a "premium" account, if not multiples out there.
*shrugs* Maybe the playerbase was fooling itself with how large it actually was, when most of them were playing with their friends without realising it.
Just about everyone I knew had multiple accounts. Most of us had them back when 12 toons was the server limit.
I always had a farmer on each account so I could dual log and farm a toon if I was bored. My alt accounts for the past year or so were mainly to invite toons to my SG.

I never signed up on the forum for my account, ive been a member though for like 6 years or so back when it first came out. played time to time, really busy though so lately i havent. Never really liked forums, but if its a last resort to help save something then im all in. Been working 2 jobs so i havent had alot of time, but im not gonna let that stop me from trying to save it cause once its gone, its gone.
I wasnt sure what immediate actions members and players have made so far, so i just started where i thought i should lol. my bad.

A mix of people, I'm not sure what the goal is there (either they are wanting to save the game, create a new game as a backup plan or plotting against NCSoft. Some people want all 3, some want only one of those, some want two. Kind of confusing) They love CoH but can be very...passionate about things. Its got some drama attached to it because of said "passion" but there are nice people around.
