When I heard about City Of Heroes closing..I cried, I raged, I wrote letters to NCSOFT, lurked on the Titan Network, and soared through the five stages of grief.

I then decided I loved having an MMO to come home to, and so my better half and I started MMO shopping.

He hated Secret World, and I couldn't get into Champions.

I watched a video about Guildwars2, and another video, and another, and I thought about how NCSoft is an MMO killer, and I watched still more Guildwars2 videos...and I thought some more about NCSOFT closing down City Of Heroes...finally I went to the local Gamestop and talked to the manager there. Grin. He was under the impression that NCSOFT had closed the game in order to move all the employees of Paragon to Arenanet to work on Guildwars2

But, he was very informative, and I left the store clutching my downloaded copy of the game. Warning...if anyone reading this decides to play Guildwars2..turn off your Virus Checker before downloading

City Of Heroes was my first and only video game so it took me time to learn how to play Guildwars2, but I kept on, and I am very happy with my choice.

Ok, serious face, I know NCSOFT is a wildcard, and will close down games if the fancy hits them, but, nothing lasts forever...

Guildwars2 has no subscription fee, just buy the box and you are good to go.

And it is a beautiful game. Some days I log in and just explore.

Playing Champions Online. Should of tried it a long time ago but better late than never. At first I wasnt in the plan on bothering with another MMO at all. After this game, had enough of games with concepts but always focused on teaming for the good parts of the content. Then a friend told me to give CO a whirl. He been there for about a year and was an ex-COX player. He said he never had to team, deal with people, or anything and it's solo friendly but when he gets into the mood to do it, he can but there is no real instances where he felt like he had to team to progress through the story lines. SO I went and lo and behold he was right.

A game made with the soloist in mind instead of being an invisible group that was only good for the money. Not to mention friendly community, and very helpful with new questions. None of that snarky nonsense or "Look it up on Wiki." crap, especially when the wiki dont mention the question I'm asking about. Helpful people. I think I'll be there for a while until that games end too.

I took the closing of this game easier than most it seems so it was easy for me to try new games because I went in with an open mind and with the mindset to judge games by it's own merits and not how COX did it or this is not how COX did it, or this isnt like COX, that isnt like COX, that's not how they wrote storys in COX and etc. I understood that it is not COX and hope it will never become COX because it is Champions Online.

Playing Star Trek Online. It is no COX... But then I didn't expect anything to ever be. Nice mix of ground and space mission plus the mission creator is AWESOME (Once you learn how to use it).

DC universe online for PS3 Champions online is too solo frendly its lonely
no one teams and it feels pointless i played for like 6 hours and lvled up very slowly and did like all hunt missions " kill 5 of these , kill 50 of those "
and I wanted to die CO & DCU would have to merge game to be half as good
as this game lol but thats neither here nor there , DCU has good PVP and fun missions untill you get raid lvl ( lvl 30 ) then u really need to start teaming
thats when the WoW in that game shows its face things like waiting hours for a raid to start only to be kicked , ninja looting ect and when u die in a boss battle you are locked out of the fight untill either the boss is dead or the remaining team wipes but if you like superheroes its really the only legitimate successor to COH

Well said Lisa.

GW2 is a really beautiful game, its fun as long as you like fantasy type games..... Im not crazy about them, but it is a good game and offers a lot to many. I personally had some issues with the way it worked with my pc that NCSoft would not even make a real attempt to fix. But, OVERALL.... I still say GW2 is worth trying even if it is an NCSoft game

but i still feel the same way about NCSoft.....

Tried out The Secret World and Star Trek Online. Ended up getting the lifetime sub for TSW. I like STO OK, and may play it more once CoH sunsets.

That said, wish I was instead enjoying I24 on live and speculating what I25 would bring.

Imma be playing "Ride a motorcycle on the real world roads." It's a solo or team game, depending on the mission.

I might also soon be playing "Negotiate a deal on a new motorcycle", but it's a seasonal mission, and only comes around the servers once in a very great while. I hear it's set to be turned on in 2013 around March or something... I could be mishearing things though.
