Since it's the end, might as well say it one last time while I can...

Well what did it actually mean or was insinuating? I mean paragonwiki explains that it meas no and how it came to be but what about it made it bannable or even enough to catch the attention of a mod? There seems to be more to it. Was people starting to use it for less than friendly meaning? Was people spamming it? Or what?

From what I recall, it really was just Ex Libris getting annoyed at so many posts simply saying "no".

People weren't really spamming it, but generally it's bad taste to go into every. single. thread and post "no" or "jranger", which is what jranger did. I mean, how would you like it if every idea you had, I just said "no" and dismissed you like you weren't even worth responding to in an intelligent manner?

Happens all the time by certain people, like "The Squirrel" does all the time already.

Yea, but posting that every single time can be viewed as annoying to the person it is directed at and not good for opening up constructive conversation, especially from a mod point of view.

This was one of the biggest problems with that rule. It's not only singling out one particular poster for things other posters have been widely known to do, it's also not even enforced a lot of the time.

Any mod who would make a such a rule just because they didn't like someone or they were having a bad day is not really worthy of that responsibility. Leave that kind of felgercarb on the Furry websites, where it happens each and every single day, lol.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Note: Back on the Phantasy Star Universe forums, using the word "diadu" (engrish for "diad" a rare crafting component) was a bannable offense since it was usually in troll posts.

What other silly bannable words were there?

A really really long time ago, back when I was just starting out, I posted some suggestions for the game. One of them was a mastermind secondary power-set with a natural theme that was basically empathy, but a little more subtle and with some more buffs/debuffs than healing. Powers like Rally(PBAoE Heal), Invoke Rage(ally buff version of Rage with a different crash) and Break Morale(Enemy AoE debuff, -def/res). It was way before pain domination.

Jranger didn't Jranger the idea, he liked it, he just said it would never happen because MMs with healing abilities was too OP.

Haha

go figure.

"Never" in this game really means "eventually".

Seems likea lot of the features in this game we have now was at one point in time considered a "never going to happen" idea.

Clearly you don't understand the /jranger.

Disagreeing with someone is not what it meant. Posting a contrary opinion is not what he did.

He just replied "no". If you think Forbin disagreeing with you is /jranger you are as wrong as wrong could be.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

then explain your version of /jranger.

But from what I gather from you is that then I rather that he just simply said "no". Better than trying to attack a person personally to show he disagree instead of focusing on the idea and disagreeing with the idea.
