Okay I gotta see this. Would you happen to have any pics? I've spent a good hour running around Monster Island and all I could find was killer monkeys and the small deserted Island on the south of the map with the dude and the soccer ball

somewhere yes - might have been on my old PC which had a disk failure - I'll try to hunt through the backups to see if I can find it.

It could also be the same NPC - iirc he cycled through a few animations.

So an easy question to test... DO you see leaves sit on the ground after they fall? I cranked up the particle physics to max (didn't even know there was a higher setting before) and it didn't fix the problem. So if you stand under a tree and the leaves collect on the ground (instead of falling through) then there is something very odd going on here. Kinda a pointless issue in the middle of sunset, but still, that would have me very perplexed.
Yes and no.

Yes, I can make leaves fall and interact with them on the ground. I can still do this with *some* of the leaves that land on the ground. It appears to be dependent on how much they break the ground level by.

If they land fairly vertically, I am able to play around with them (as far as i can test). If they land flat and then disappear... *possibly* depends as to how fast i get to them.

What i have noticed though is that the NPC's are no longer dying *on* the floor, but instead are about 2inches below it. This means that if they end up laying flat, they "disappear", so you will need a Singularity or something similar to pick them up.

The guy by the manhole cover entrance/exit to Faultline in blue side Pocket D is now almost entirely sunk in to the floor. War Witch has also sunk up to her ankles in the floor. Most disconcerting!

I stopped to read the movie posters outside the movie theater in Talos, and noticed that Samuraiko was credited as the director on Ascension. That was kind of cool.

They do. Same with bullet casings. They lay there, and if you run through them, use certain powers around them (such as Super Speed, Foot Stomp, Fire Ball), or plop a Singularity on them, and they'll scatter, follow you, whatever.

Easiest thing to use if you have it is the /e throwpetals emote from the wedding pack. If I stand there and use that, I end up with a scattering of petals on the ground, and I can whip them up as above.

Edit: I'll have to test to see if this changed, and maybe things are now falling through the ground instead of on it. I was doing the throwpetals thing just a few nights back, though, on the raised area immediately outside of the hospital in Dark Astoria. (We were forming a trial, and people were bored.)

I was so stupidly happy when I saw that. The day those went into the game, I must have gotten like fifteen tells in a row saying, "GO LOOK AT THE POSTERS!"

One other thing I noticed since launch. In the Looking for Team tab, one of the options is "Looking for Patrol". What the hell is a patrol team? "Greetings, heroes! Let's make our way along the streets of Independence Port, keeping a sharp eye out for evil-doers!" I suppose they mean street-sweeping, but still, has anyone, in the history of the game, ever used "Looking for Patrol?"

I rather doubt it, but I can sort of see why they added it. Once upon a time, people definitely looked for street sweeping teams. There was a time in the game where that was unquestionably the best XP available outside of outright farms, which I think not nearly as many people knew about as do today.

I don't remember exactly when the "Looking for X" modes were added without going and looking for patch notes (I didn't think they were there at release), but if it was around those days of street sweeping's heyday, it would have made a lot of sense.

Street sweeping rapidly faded in popularity after the changes in mission rewards, halving of debt in instances, and the introduction of the original five "Notoriety" settings (Heroic, Tenacious, Rugged, Unyielding and Invincible).

A few more fun tidbits... I'm sure we've all noticed the "Hero Os" in Image. But, next to that is a box that probably says "Cryptastic", with an image that looks sort of like the Cryptic logo. And, on another shelf in Image are jars of "EXP Boost".

You know that statue in Steel Canyon? Yeah, the hundred foot tall one in the center. The name of the hero was never revealed. Posi said it's in a design doc that he no longer has access to.

And, here's the biggest mystery of all. In Studio 55 in Praetoria, the door to the ladies' restroom has a select volume over it. The cursor turns to a blue hand when you hover over the door, although clicking does nothing. The men's room door doesn't.

What could this mean? I'm imagining a Deus Ex-esque scenario the next time you talk to Calvin Scott. "By the way, $name, stay out of the ladies restroom. That kind of activity embarrasses the Resistance more than it does you."
