A suggestion about facebook (Save CoH related)

Guys, I appreciate the enthusiasm everyone is showing to try to salvage this game. However, in at least one aspect we could use a little less enthusiasm, and a little more organization, and that is the facebook pages. Yes, pages, plural.

I don't have a lot of you on my friends list, but I've already seen personally the creation of at least four different pages related to the end of this game. The folks that have created the various pages may want to talk to each other and decide which ONE page to keep, and invite everyone to, so all efforts are more centralized.

Hey, the way I look at it, I made the suggestion. Hell, I could be wrong and the scattered shotgun approach may actually work better than the tactical strike. I just wanted to point out that it seemed a little less organized than it could be.

You're not the first nor will you be the last to make that suggestion. It's difficult when folks are passionate about saving COH. If the owners of those pages could come together and give Content Creator permissions to those who are leading the preservation efforts at Titan Network, or their selected reps, then it would be better at focusing the messages, engaging the fans and getting more people involved.

It's early so I expect there to be some chaos before things get smoothed out a bit. This is just week 1. Also not everyone is a social media wizard so the more folks that offer suggestions (on the titan forums works better since that's the HQ of the effort), it helps a lot.

For what it's worth, M_I, I agree that we could use more consolidation of effort in terms of the FB pages. A lot of it is coming together, but it is still early, as others have said.

We definitely need to present an organized face to the world.

Crud. Guess I should have searched first. I guess what got to me was the fact that I just found out through this that folks can invite me to what ever they want, and I'm now a member without me saying if I actually wanted to join. (and yes, I realize I can just drop pages, but for now I'd like to see which one, if any, becomes the 'official' page.)

I'd also like to see us on one page...I'm only on one of them myself for that reason.

I also wouldn't mind if we took it a step further on these boards and have Z/mods stop allowing posts in every forum. For example, how necessary is it for all four of the beta forums right now? Most of the general help forums could be asked/posted in the players questions right now...I seriously doubt many of us are writing new guides right now, not likely anyone is worrying drastically about finding badges, etc. But I just may be going overboard with that idea.

There's already a "Save CoH" page, which is our Twitter hashtag, so it might make sense to make the "Save CoH" page the "offfical" rescue effort page.

Guys, we *have* an organised response. Please, please, please check out the Titan board - cohtitan.com/forum - that narrows it down to just 2 Facebook pages we should be concentrating on supporting, as well as concentrating other efforts.
