Resume Blaming GW2

I've come to the growing belief that 'NCSoft' translates into English as 'Electronic Arts'.
November 2010's NCSoft's investor presentation had revenue projections of 700 Billion KrW for 2010, 850 Billion KrW for 2011 and 1 Trillion KrW for 2012. They only hit 656 Billion in 2010 and 609 Billion in 2011. They expected Aion to continue it's explosive growth and Blade and Soul and Guild Wars 2 to come out in 2011.

I didn't know they also removed Lineage 1 from America (no clue why they would do that... why not just keep it running???) but it may establish a fearful pattern.
Add in this and there's your story. The Western MMO market - right now - is saturated in titles with a dwindling audience. NCSoft, having the long-term thought 'n planning ability of your typical corporate giant, is bailing out on what they see as a busted market. Paragon's secret project was no longer in their plans. Once they figured that out, then, well, might as well shut down the whole studio.

At some point, they may decide Guild Wars is not performing good in America. They may keep it in asia and just shut it down in it's birth-land.
I wish these threads would just go away.

Personally it just seems like a bad idea to drop a superhero franchise like a bad habit if only because it eliminates diversity from your games line-up. Everything else is fantasy-based. I really thought there'd be a CoH2 but there's no way that will be happening now that CoH has been chopped.
You'll get your wish soon enough.
