Some of my ideas

Not really any new powers (Already enough of those)
But I can list off some ideas I have.

1.) I wanna go into space! Make an issue that is on the moon or something (though I dunno the need to use space helmets with characters that don't need helmets or that need them) and have AE missions have surface of the moon or some moonbase.

2.) Give us windows for our SG bases, would be cool to have a space-station, or something underground, or underwater.

3.) A Boss-Fight that is essentially a UFO, you can teleport on its back and ground it when it's "defeated" (I know, Ukon Grai, but this one isn't grounded!)

4.) More medieval looking weapons in Titan Weapons, I want a big ol' William Wallace claymore!

That's all I got so far!

The moonbase and base window idea are not likely given the technical challenges and previous dev statements, but 3 and 4 are theoretically possible. I suspect 4 is more in line with broadsword than titan weapons though.

Not to dishearten you or anything, but I suggested something like 3 in 2004. Some suggestions take slightly longer than others to be realized.

When we got the MAG trial and we met that guy in space I thought that was a prelude to space/moonbase fighting deal. Oh well at least now we know for sure it is not going to happen I can mentally dismiss it from my mind.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Many years ago (2005 I think) the devs took a poll asking what the players wanted the net zone to be. The Moon Zone came in first place.

Nothing ever came of it. There has even been a long standing thread dedicated to suggestions for a Moon Zone.

Still waiting.

As to windows in bases. Don't hold your breath. The devs have told us they aren't messing with the base code.

Base changes?

"No, because the Base system is like trying to play Jenga; one wrong removal and the whole system breaks." -Zwill

"It's more like playing Jenga on fire." -Synapse

What's the problem? you ask. Well the original dev that created the bases no longer works for the company and he didn't document what he was doing, so the devs are left with a horrible mess of spaghetti code that crashes whenever they try to change things.

Done!

Excalibur

After completing a Magisterium Trial, you can buy the weapon for 10 Emperyean Merits. Alternatively, you can purchase the recipe off the AH or get it as a drop(It's a Very Rare drop off Pendragon in the Magisterium Trial). Though if you plan to buy it, bring a lot of cash - it's showing 500-750 million for the last five as I type this.

There are times I wonder if all of the original code was written by the terminally ill, because it seems practically every line of code not written after launch was written by someone no longer reachable on this plane of existence.

Which is why when they tried to modify the physics engine code, gravity started working like static electricity in the game, and then *that guy* appears to have taken the first rocket ship to Pluto.

It's always possible that whomever it was that wrote the code didn't leave on the best of terms and took/destroyed his/her notes when he/she left and wouldn't return or offer to help if this was the last video game on the planet.

I know I left a couple of jobs like that, and I've gotten to enjoy watching a couple of backstabbing supervisors go down in flames after I got sick of them taking credit for my efforts and I left them swinging in the wind in front of their bosses after I left.

It's a shame, too. The window idea is otherwise pretty eminently solvable with almost no additional resources needed; you can make an 'external wallpaper' that only gets revealed in sections with windows. (Probably with a couple layers so you can get a good perspective effect. A little more expensive than a perfectly static one, but I suspect still far cheaper than putting a zone outside.)

I've pretty much just assumed that NCSoft's HR department issues, instead of pink slips, car bombs.

Not the drink.

So the thing I haven't quite figured out yet is this: There are people like me, who have hounded the devs for improvements and results from like a few months after the original base code was put into effect until now without much success. Are we naive, idiotic, or eventual positive change agents? I guess time will tell.. but the multi year track record points more to naive at best.

Ahhh yes how well I remember the "Where the heck is our moon base?" threads.

Now as for windows at base.. I understand we can't expect major inovations but we do have wall hangings which, in my oprion only (please no ranting), are pretty lame. how hard would it be to design a PICTURE that looks like a window and give us a couple options..

Outer Space (the pictire is a window frame with a black sky dotted with small bright lights (stars) and possibly a partial view of the earth below... I assume this space base is orbitting OUR planet since its where we fight bad guys? hehehe

City Scape .. Same concept just a widown frame with a static picture of the skyline of Steel Canyon or Skyway) They could even give the option of day or night time scenes here.

Under the Sea .. (please refrain from breaking into song here THANK YOU) once again same concept .. just a picture of a window frame with the scene outside being coral reefs and some fish .. maybe a whale or shark).

Underground .. Okay windows here seem a bit ??? unusual? But why not a window with a scene of an underground cavern filled with Stalagemites and Stalagtites (pardon the spellings there).

Absolutely none of these would require and moving parts .. its just a picture that looks like you are looking out a window. Now to TRY and do what I just described and have space ships shooting past the windows of your space base or fish swimming past the window of your underwater lair .. YEAH I could see that as a coding nightmare but we already HAVE the coding in place for a picture on a wall. Doesn't seem like a few more picture choices could be a game breaker... they already did it when they gave us the vet reward of COH comic book covers... again in my opinion.. they only really good looking pics we can hang on our walls!

/em pictures trying to play Jenga when the pieces are in flames. So how do we grab hold without getting third degree burns?
