bio armor
Waiting til it hits live and hoping they make the stalker version as resilient as the scrappers. Right now the stalker version sacrifices some resistance and gains the most useful thing of all to replace a damage aura: a sleep aura. /sarcasm.

We cannot seem to add IO sets to Bio on Mids' yet. It looks pretty simple to softcap S/L/F/C/E/N with some effort and influence. Seems like a strong set, a cross between WP and EA with great def/dam res and regen/rec. I would pair it with a primary that does not need much recharge to run a good chain.
The huge armor around the arm, and...well, the leg armor...and....the carapace...I'm not really sure on a primary with it...
Maybe Spines would make sense, but...I'm not really sold on Bio Armor yet.

I've made up my mind already to do stj since it's king ding a ling for stalker primaries. I was holding out to pair it with rad armor or bio armor depending which came out first for beta/ liver release, but bio seems as if it will fit my play style much better. Not too mention I know ice, nin, wp, and ea are top picks to pair stj , but I wanted something slightly different. I have Elec/Wp stalker already and I was never keen on the other resist primaries.

I'm not anywhere near convinced, but I don't have the time to test up to that level so I can't give effective feedback.
Oh, I also think the Stalker version loses the -res debuff. :/
Yeah, I commented on the sleep aura in the beta feedback thread. Synapse assures me that it's a great power for stalkers (that power considered in total, I assume, it does more than just the sleep aura).

Oh, wait! Isn't critical guaranteed if the target is sleeping, Held, or Disoriented?
So with a sleeping Aura, there's a chance to put everyone around you to sleep. It'll probably be like World of Confusion, but hopefully last a lot longer.
Okay...Electric Melee just looked great all of a sudden with Bio Armor.

[Union Chat]Sebaddon: If you want to, we will, if you think it's weird, no, that's damz, not us.
[Union Chat]Damz: hey cyber, i am your naked pope for the evening, please confess to me my child
So how is this helpful?

I don't know how up-to-date Paragonwiki is, but this is the description for it there:
Your Bio Armor is capable of corrupting the genetic code of nearby foes, reducing the damage they deal. Lesser foes may be put to sleep for a short time. While Efficient Adaptation is active, this power grants a moderate bonus to Regeneration. While Defensive Adaptation is active you gain a minor bonus to all types of damage resistance and increase the potency of this power's damage debuff. If Offensive Adaptation is active enemies are more likely to fall sleep. These special bonuses are unenhanceable. |
They removed the +resist/-resist toggle presumably because it would affect foes, and gave stalkers a pbaoe sleep toggle, because we all know stalkers have no AoE's and don't team with people who do.
The scrapper version of bio armor will be both more durable and more damaging (not even considering the damage aura) than the stalker version. That is poor balance 101. Stalkers get overall higher regen % with the combined powers, but the effect is still lower than the scrapper version because of the difference in hp between the two.

Some players were asking for Shield, FA and Invulnerability to get ported to stalkers and my immediate thought was AAO, Shield Charge, Burn, Blazing Aura and Fiery Embrace would be omitted and Inv would get watered down.
Now that I think about it, Bio Armor may surprise us. This shall be the first armor with a sleep aura, which means less aggro and, I really hope this becomes true, a chance to unleash more critical hits to counter the proc changes coming.
Either way, this may be a great set, and now that I think about the large Bio-armor around the arm coupled with the Assassin's Strike from Electric Melee...Okay, now I'm lovin' it.
To me, it's par for the course. No Stalker secondary match up with with their equivalent AT counterpart. I think a couple might get close, like EA but still falls short. Actually IA is better on Stalkers... Hibernate, haha! Poor Tankers.

Bio armor is going to be extremely popular on stalkers simply because the set has little competition in the offensive focused armor set category. The fact that genetic corruption is very skippable on a stalker isn't that big of a deal when comparing it to other stalker sets.

The Changes to Bio Armor haven't hit Beta yet have they?
Yes! The MidsHeroDesigner got updated, IO enchancements work!
I know it isn't accurate numbers yet, but roughly speaking, S/L/E/N seems easy to softcap, offers very good resistance, and damage mitigation is great utilizing Ablative Carapace & DNA Siphon. Perma on both possible, and the Tier 9 Parasitic Aura is simply a longer Icy Bastion. With tough slotted, you're at 60% resistance to S/L, which is pretty damn good!
My 4th stalker is definitely getting this set. We may have found the Ice/Regen hybrid!

Oh, does anyone know whether Genetic Corruption is going to be an autohit, or will it require a ToHit Check? I'm thinking of adding the Sandman heal proc for some more survivability.
Has anyone taken a stab at how they would build a stalker with this secondary ?
