Where to buy Archetype Enhancements?

Where can I buy Archetype Enhancements? The wiki says merit vendors, but I've checked there (reward and astral merit both). I have the merits and inf required, but yet they're not in the list. Anyone know why? Or if I'm missing something?

They're under 'Enhancements', like where you could buy SO enhancements, they'll have their own tab underneath that.

Make sure the option in the lower right corner (Something like hide items missing ingredients?) is unchecked, it might be hiding them because you don't have enough merits (they cost a pretty hefty amount regardless of currency)

Thanks. Yeah, looks like I misread the number of merits. Oh well, nothing to see here; move along...

For what it's worth, ATOs aren't worth enough to buy them with merits, anyway. If you have 400 merits + 25m inf, buy two LotGs instead, sell them, and use the inf to buy any ATO you want and have a tidy sum left over.

Don't forget to craft them too. For some reason crafted IOs sell much more than the recipe for them + mats

If you have the 400 merits + 25m Inf, you can sometimes just buy the ATO off the market with the Inf, and save the Merits for something else. It will probably require some patience, and you won't be able to get the most popular enhancements, but some of them are dirt cheap.

Also, consider buying the really cheap ones off the market and using converters to get the expensive ones.

"The really expensive ones" still sell for less than 50 million if you're patient.

Mostly these are the brute ATOs. In my considerable experience, you can reliably buy them for less than 50 million and sell them for over 100 million (which I've been doing consistently since they first appeared). For a lot of the other popular ATOs (blaster or controller for example) you can reliably buy them for 10-20 million and sell for 45-50 million.

Which means if you just want them for your character, a low but reasonable bid and some patience is all you need.

this is all true, and I haven't been able to figure out why.

flipping ATOs is like some kind of perpetual money machine- I'm totally confused by the fairly reliable low/high spread across all the ones people actually want.

That's if you're impatient... If you're patient (and a full hero/villain) you convert 50 merits into an alignment merit a day, and every second day use 2 alignment merits to buy a LotG. The up-front cost is a little higher, but you get 2 more LotGs than with straight-up merit puchaces. One of those extra LOTGs alone should (more than) cover the cost of converting to A-merits.

As a bonus, run your 5 tips every day for an extra a-merit every second day...

I bought five of the scrapper set for less than 50m each (three of them for MUCH less each). Considering how popular scrappers are, and how awesome the scrapper set is, I was really impressed. I left my bids up overnight and all of them filled.

So far there's a fairly steady but low-level supply going to the market, so for the most popular ones never too many for sale at any one time. The number climbs, then there's a run and the number for sale dwindles. Kind of the perfect storm for a flipper.

I used to craft and sell and think, "Hey, I'm providing a service, I'm not just a flipper!" But all I do is flip these days... it's far too easy and far too profitable...

If I had put numbers into my post, they would have been pretty close to what you say here. However, I haven't touched ATOs on the market for a while, so I wasn't sure if they were still trending the same - hence why I omitted any numbers.
