"Failed Experiments" defeat badge

I was trying to complete the defeat badges on my character when I noticed that I needed more 30 "Failed Experiments" for my badge for them. Upon doing some research, I discovered the only place to get them were from doing an arc from Aaron Walker (lvl 15-20) in Neutropolis. Since I am now level 50, I out leveled this contact long ago when I started in Preatoria. From what I could find, these enemies do not exist anywhere EXCEPT inside this arc.

I tried to contact support, but the best answer I got pretty much amounted to, "deal with it". Why would there be a defeat badge for an enemy if there is no way to get them? I can't think of any other enemy type in the game that has this issue, red, blue or gold side.

Wouldn't it make sense to either have a Flashback system for Preatoria? Or make it so that these enemies are available SOMEWHERE besides this arc?

If anybody know where I can find the "Failed Experiments" enemy type, PLEASE let me know!

Can't you find a few Failed Experiments during the Great Escape zone event in Neutropolis? IIRC, you may have to run it a few times.

[Edit: Dang, ninja-ed.]

Cool - I'll give that a try. Thanx for the advice...

Yes exactly. The Great Escape zone event in Neutropolis is about the only way to get the defeat badge for Failed Experiments if your character is not praetorian and/or too high level to do the missions.

How to start: when you get to the location you will have a window pop up. If the window has a timer, that means someone else had recently completed the event and you need to wait until the timer is gone. To make sure you get the Failed Experiments for the badge, you need to start the event by attacking them outside the building to start the mission. (Each of the 3 Praetorian zone events have a 1 hour timer after completed/failed. Nobody will be able to do the event at all until the timer runs out)

Note: There are 2 ways to do the mission: Failed Experiments or defeat PPD officers. The end rewards are pretty much the same except, depending on which way you started the event, you will have a choice to unlock 1 of 2 emotes: Ghoul Flex and Ghoul Tantrum, for your character. No matter which way you you do it, only 1 badge is offered in the reward table if you wish to take it. So you would need to do the event 3 times to get both emotes and the badge.

Aren't there a couple of them (really, REALLY rarely) in the Underground? I could have sworn there was.

I use the Great Escape too. It will probably take a few runs to get the badge from scratch, but for just 30? One run should be more than enough.

The great escape is good (as stated), and if I recall correctly the Sutter TF has a fairly decent supply in the area before Fusion & Tremblor.

I checked this back in April of 2011 and at that time, the ones in the Sutter TF did not count toward badge credit. Of course, this could have changed since then.

Reverified, I just ran Sutter with a character with no progress on Failed, and it was still zero after the fight.
