So...been watching Sons of Anarchy on Netflix....I find that I really like the show, the humor is that sort of twisted stuff that I like. The episode that has Stephen King as a "cleaner" is just too much....I was actually chuckling to myself....

Yeah, I finished up the latest season not too long ago. Very entertaining show. Was very surprised when I looked up Ryan Hurst's (Opie) previous work. I didn't recognize him at all.

Probably my favorite show on TV right now. Sons is awesome. Got both my brothers and a handful of friends hooked on it too. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely love this show. Season 3 (i think) where they spent the majority of time in Ireland was over-all the weakest, but the next season more than made up for it.

The only problem that has consistantly come up (for me) is how they show has to get the audience to like the bad guys by pitting them up against worse bad guys, or making the "good guys" bad or completely dislikable. It's a difficulty that arises when the protagonists are more-or-less anti-villians. They're bad guys with some redeaming qualities, which does make them more "real" than paper-cut bad guys which is why the writing is so good.

But in the end you're still along for the ride with the bad guys which is why several of my friends just couldn't stick with the show. I still love it though.

Good call 7; big fan of the show here as well.

Doing a tour overseas and decided to start it up with season one. Got hooked and waiting for Amazon to send the next couple of seasons now.

Reminds me of some of the same qualities I enjoyed in the Sopranos...family, great characters, criminal elements etc, except on motorcycles and that Easy Rider feel.

See, I think my biggest problem is that they started too big on the show. The problems and threats were too big and now each season they have to try to top them. I myself would enjoy if they spent a lot more time on more realistic day to day outlaw biker stuff... Not like grocery shopping and stuff, but they had those probies hanging around and I would have liked to have seen that dynamic explored. Show us the kind of stuff they make the probies do to earn their cuts and such, not just have them standing around as handy bodies to do lookout duty or such. Go more in depth on what the life is like on the other old ladies, not just the two which are main characters...

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want that to be the main focus... But I think it's very rich material to be delved into which is all but ignored. I just think if they explored that kind of thing a bit more (and done so from the start) they wouldn't have to be sneaking into foreign countries and taking on Mexican cartels just to out do the previous season.

I think the last bit of the last season, mostly the last episode, somewhat addressed that, with them realizing exactly how far out of their league they'd gotten. Fat lot of good it did them, but still.

I'm in it for the characters. The acting is superb. The story is mostly a secondary consideration for me.

SAMCRO!

Best show on TV atm, imo.
Went to the set on the 1st day of production for season 5, and was amazed how much these guys love their fans. Even after a 14 hour day, most, esp Charlie, took a lot of time just signing stuff and talking to the 3 fans at the gate when they left the studio.
I myself got some great footage of Jax, Chibs, Bobby and Happy on bikes, Juice and Clay in the van leaving TM.

I will whole-heartedly agree with this. They do some filming up by where I work, and they have always been incredibly gracious with their time for the fans who come out. Ryan Hurst (Opie) and Kim Coates (Tig) were great about signing things, and they seem genuinely touched by the love and enthusiasm that the fans have for the show. I always take a swing by when I see the yellow S.O.A. signs up to direct the crew to locales. Never know what you're going to get to see!

The only thing that could make it better is an encounter with a zombie biker group.
Yeah, zombies on Harleys...
