Check out Staff/Ela. I recently got mine to 50 and really enjoyed the ride!

I've only tried Staff/EA, and other than the rare times I get mezzed, terrorized or knocked back it's a blast.
I run missions solo for 8 man teams and planned to use the multi target powers the most and found:
Endurance gets used a lot so a secondary with a power that grants endurance is nice.
I use a combo of GS, IS, GS, then EotS so a secondary that grants +Recharge is also nice.
Given the above I leaned towards EA or Ele. Personally I never liked how Grounded works because I tend to jump around a lot, I also like Defense sets better than Resistance (Easier to slot IMO) so it was EA all the way for me.
Also since GS was planned for my chain it stacked nicely with EA and EA gives more options to slot LoTG +7.5s if you want to squeeze in more recharge
Now if they would only get off their duffs and make more weapon models...

Staff/Elec here. Very easy to soft cap Defense to M/S/L and very high resists to boot. A great heal plus end recovery and you are highly survivable and very self sufficient. Great combo, I really enjoyed it.

For a Brute, I liked using a +resist set, since it is so easy to slot for +Def. With the Resist from Ela plus the Def from slotting, Staff/Ela has a very nice layered mitigation (I also slotted up some +Regen for a third tier).

Leveling a Staff/Ela brute myself too.
Ela has many tools and is great for endgame.
Just rolled a Staff/Regen this past weekend. Only got her to 20, so she's still a little squishy. On the plus side, no endurance problems whatsoever, even fighting Clocks, so I could focus on +Recharge.

Staff/Elec here too. Just finished incarnating and it's a blast. Though I have an incarnated Claws/Elec already so you might say I am a fan of /elec on brutes.

While I haven't made my final build, Staff/Fire is amazing. Having that early heal, plus FotM and consume, makes my toggle-happy build continue to fly through content. I am a little biased, though, as I've played several tanks using Elec/ and one brute /Elec, but never anything with Fiery Aura (well, not that I can remember playing for long). Once I really finish up my final Mids build, I will be able to speak to it better. Of course, I'm not a very good planner.

I will toss my hat in for /ELA and /Fire I am actually playing up a Staff/Dark. Will have to see what happens with these two since they are so end heavy. Its a nice build with softcap s/l/m and a 2.63/s end gain after my accolades. Only thing I am debating is on Cloak of Fear. Never really used it but was thinking it might be nice....

I have been trying out various combos of Staff Fighting. What is everyone's general idea of the best pairings? So far I have tried Staff/Regen, Staff/Dark and currently Staff/Fiery Aura.
What secondary do you think has the best synergy?
