I think I read that this can't actually be done. The Iron-Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America movies that tie in to the Avengers were all independent productions of Marvel Studios, which is why they could put them all together in one movie.

Other characters' movies, such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Blade, the Punisher, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, and the Fantastic Four were co-productions and the rights to more movies involving those characters might belong to other production companies.

Specifically, I believe Sony Entertainment owns the rights to Spider-Man when it comes to movies (which is why they can do crazy things such as "reboot" the franchise only 5 years after the last movie).

Adding Jackmans Wolverine to the mix could potentially be stupidly successful, but I think Fox owns the x-men rights so whether they and Disney want to share the pot of gold is questionable.
Disney also has evidence that Wolverine and Spiderman are not needed to make a hugely successful avengers movie, so it would seem an unlikely happening. For now.

My point was that if magic is accepted as real and something (say Mjolnir) is specifically identified as magical in origin there is no reason to invoke Clarke's law and claim that it's really high tech instead of magic.

Yeah but my crab is so much better than my tanks at holding a door in the baf, and just as survivable.

Besides the avengers are already melee heavy, they need more ranged damage dealers!
Hulk - SS/Regen Brute with double stacked rage and no damage cap
Thor - Electric/Inv Brute with hammer animations instead of punches
Ironman - Peace Bringer with Perma LF and Perma inner light
Cap - Street justice/Shield Scrapper (with leadership pool)
Hawkeye - Arrow/Dev blaster
Black Widow - MA/SR scrapper
Agent Coulson - AR/dev blaster (veng bait)

Just like in COH a tank would be a waste!

<------ Runs away

Ok if I HAVE to pick a tank it would be my Fire/Fire tank. Again this team needs more AOE!

Um Black Widow used alot of DP in there, and Iron man is more of a blaster not a PB.

As for agent coulson yes venge bate, and as for your tanks build them better As for holding doors in a BAF of course your crab can do better at holding the doors becouse they r immune to taunt, and u have no holds on tanks like some of the other archetypes for that. I can hold aggro on other stuff but that.

Agent Coulson - I serious LOL'd at that

I think Black Widow is a DP/MM Blaster - the mind tricks she pulls are fantastic
Iron Man is pure Nrg/Nrg Blapper (KNOCKBACK MAN!!!!)

There is no blaster in the world that could've sustained the Tank job he did. He's Invulnerability/Super Strength/Energy Blast.

For the Avengers, it'd have to be my only Tank: Emissary of Justice.

Ironically, he was devised during Marvel's Civil War event which prominently featured The Avengers.

Virtue: The-Invictus (Blue)
The Emissary of Justice - Level 50 Fire/Fire Blaster
The Emissary of Justice. - Level 50 WP/Fire Tanker
Mesmerius - Level 50 Psi/Mental Blaster
Nucleoa - Level 50 Rad/Son Defender

Not to be a silly goose or anything, but whenever someone "conjures" lightning from the sky and redirects it to an enemy through a hammer medium...yeeaah, that's magic.

To the OP, the Avengers need a controller more than anything else. I mean, did you SEE all those aliens just roaming around like it aint no thing? Some serious lockdown could've been used there.

That's fairly easy to do technologically; ionising lasers and a well insulated handle. We can't quite manage it on a mjolnir scale but manipulating electricity on that level isn't new or magical.

Edit: Just noticed this was 4 days old, oops.

The only AT that even comes close to emulating Iron Man is a human only Peacebringer. Flight, Resistance Shields, and a mix of melee/ranged ability. You could probably use IO's and Incarnate abilities to shore up a blaster though.. but that's a considerable time/influence investment.

I had the same thought.. LOL.. they needed Professor X or Iceman to help em out...

My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi

A tank that can control large groups.... Ice/Stone
2x Taunt Aura's (Chilling Embrace + Icicles), Foe AoE KD (Fault), Foe Hold (Seismic Smash) plus 2x Ranged Taunts (Taunt and Hurl Boulder).
It all says COME TO ME.

Or Ice/Ice.
2x Taunt Aura's (Chilling Embrace + Icicles), Foe AoE KD (Ice Patch), Foe Hold (Freezing Touch) plus PBAoE Sleep (Forzen Aura).

Both are cool idea's

Iron Man is wearing the new Mecha Armor costume set but applied to the 'Tight' section instead of the 'Armor' section.

He is also 'Hero' class so is a Nrg/Inv Blaster - the Turbo Fan blades are Smashing/Lethal so he ignored most of the damage.
This also explains why he took more damage than expected in Iron Man 2 from the guy with the 'Arc Whips' - low Nrg resistance.
