jumped into a Nemesis invasion this morning on Virtue. There seemed to be 3 zones invaded at the same time. I swear every time I am on the invasion is happening.

Was in Talos on the invasion hill. We got warhulks (although very few) and fake nemesis. Not a lot of Fake's but they were tough to bring down. Then Nemesis spawned. He was remarkably tough. Not just because he was tough, but because most of the people were still fighting the other fake nemesis and others.

I was defeated 3 times. Once just back from the hospital I ran up to Nemesis to use drain psyche and before I could click the button I was down. Seemed like 1 hit, I'm not sure what from.

It was a good 5-10 minute fight before taking Nemesis down. I did not get the badge, not sure why.

It was a lot more interesting than zombie and rikti invasions because there was an actual goal besides just stand in bunch and smash everything. I'm not sure how many people actually wanted to take down nemesis vs farming fakes though.

That's odd that you didn't get the badge, assuming you harmed him at all. I've gotten the badge by getting in just 1-2 shots on an extremely low-heath Nemesis just before he died.

There have been a few badges lately that have not had the Badge Earned message show up on screen when they are awarded.

I got the badge and I don't remember seeing the popup about it. It does show in my Most Recent badge list however (or however it's worded).

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Did other people get the badge? It's possible that he despawned, rather than actually being defeated.

Also, the overwhelming majority of defeat badges require that your team do at least 10% of the damage to kill the target. I've seen reports that the invasion Nemesis does not use that system.... but who knows...

It might be intermittent somehow, but it unquestionably did not require that for me.

On one character, I showed up after switching characters to a fight in Founders Falls. Despite switching as soon as I saw the announcement, when I arrived he was already present and at around 10% health and falling fast. I was alone, not on a team or a league. I got off exactly two shots against him before he went down, and I got the badge.

I can't imagine it would matter, but I was on an Ice/Dark Corruptor, and the two attacks were my T1 and T2 Ice blasts. I consider it unlikely I did damage equal to even 10% of the health he had left when I arrived, let alone 10% of his total.

Having experienced that I've taken to just making sure I get a hit in (though I certainly beat on him as much as I can) and I've gotten the badge every time he actually showed up. I'm up to 10 grants now.

I was on a team of 5 or so amidst a group of maybe 20 fighting. The leader of our team also commented they did not get the badge.

Nemesis was very low on health last I saw, so I think we got him. But we may not have

And another character got the badge literally standing in AE between exiting one mission and going into another. I was nowhere near nemesis and not on a team.

If we keep finding Mole machine that weren't there before .. I think we can assume that some story line has to be attached to them
That Mole Machine is for SSA 1.4 - it's the mission entrance for the second to last mission IIRC.

Also [A Nemesis Plot] DOES have a notification, but the 8th anniversary badge does not.

Please count me among those who expected Mole Machines, and by that I mean Mole Machines we had to fight (giant monster or transport a la the Arachnos Flier, whatever). I was expecting, instead of this sort of "rising force" where badguys spawn one at a time then spawn rates increase as they get cut down, something more like an all-out blitz with a big Mole Machine as the tip of the spear spawning and buffing Nemesis troops until you destroy the Mole Machine. Instead we got a really transparent Zombie Apocalypse with a Nemesis skin on it. Reading the story about the invasion I was half-expecting a steampunk Nemesis surface fleet and army invading from off-shore a la D-Day. Not getting that I can live with, but the lack of Mole Machines is unforgivable.

I got the badge without hitting him at all, or even being on a team at the time. I didn't even see the guy, I was still traveling (although within a couple blocks of the fight at the time that he apparently went down). So I feel pretty confident in saying this badge doesn't have the 10% damage requirement.

That lines up closely with reported experience by someone in a channel I frequent. He reported only beating on a few minion/LT type invaders, not on a team or league, and getting the badge.

Maybe you just need to be in the general vicinity when he goes down? That would be pretty different from other similar critter rewards.

Well, as UberGuy and several others know, I wasn't on a league or a team when I got the badge.

Then again, UberGuy has seen me solo Hamidon.

A funny thing happened last night.

I was logging all of my characters in to get the anniversary badges on them when I saw an extra badge suddenly appear in the Most Recent list on one character. I got the Nemesis Plot badge (or whatever it's called) just by logging in that character. Eyes of Texas was in the lobby of the Hospital for Day Badge credit and got the badge just standing there, solo, not in sight of Nemesis or any troops.

I tried to recreate it on my other characters as I was doing the login/logout to character selection/login dance on my Justice characters but didn't get lucky on any of the others.
