What about buckled leather with "cutouts"? Where the underlying part would be bare skin, similar to the "holes" texture on tights.

I wouldn't mind an updated version of Patent Leather with this suggestion. The leather texture, only, improved.
Maybe it's that I love the zipper in front, but the rest of it just seems to be so...outdated? Or just in need of improvement?
