Glad that they get a chance to wrap things up. I wonder if the alternate ending for the season 4 finale will be on the dvd set? Can't recall if they said it had been filmed or just scripted though.

According to my husband who reads up on these things far more than I do it has been filmed. I hope we get to see it as well. Though I'm also glad for another season. There is far too much going on right now for them to wrap things up properly.

Good....

I forget who said this, however...most shows should be written in a manner that they have a beginning, a middle and an end instead of being allowed to drag on.....especially a show that has a diehard fan base.

Unfortunately I got away from watching Fringe and will watch it again after the series wraps up from the beginning. Hopefully it will make its way to Netflix.

Most depressing ending?

The entire series was Walter still in the mental institution... "Olivia" is actually his doctor that recommends him for a total frontal lobotomy. Peter is the janitor in the institution and Walter never actually had a kid.

Last week's episode added another "new" universe. Even though the episode was set in 2036 it's apparent that the team time skipped from a universe that's different still than any of the ones we've seen so far. At least they showed a seemingly young William Bell trapped in Amber.

Also Walter with a fixed brain is very, very scary. Angry Doctor scary.

Definitely wondering if Observer-verse is canon for the new "main" timeline. If they wanted to take over, I'm not sure whey they didn't do it earlier. I thought of them more like Time Police than as conquerors.

That would be an awesome gag ending... but then Walter should wake up from *that* dream and everything is as it was...

I need bleach now...

...I just imagined Walter "dancing" as the "SuckerPunch" girl.

Olivia on the other side...

Heck, he probably does that already between sleeping in the nude and his fondness for recreational self-medication.
